Hangkai 65lb Electric Trolling Motor 12V 660W Outboard Engine Boat Motor US $499.00 not a bad bit oh thrust i suggest a minimum 100 watt panel to help extend battery life and range i didn't check yet to see what battery running but myself i got the minikota 30/30 so 30lb thrust and 2 ,12v deep cycle marine batteries 🔋 , I'm trying to load 1400 watt of solar panels so it's just a little more than it can use running entirely on solar with charge controller then cruising at full throttle 5 or 6 mph not a crazy amount of acceleration but sure saves effort paddling though I'd paddle anyways for more control and speed ... ya kinda have to full blast paddle to keep up with it though so instead of the normal heavy dragging paddle through water 1 pull/push at a time ya get a really light fast paddle just trying to overcome the current speed ... mines a 17ft 4 person so if i limit 2 people and modular mount 6 100 watt panels adjusting weight distribution with batteries run to some heavy duty jumper cables for extension wires and then a separate lil automatic float switch controlled bildge pump at the back where all the water gathers from weighting also with secondary off switch to prevent phantom power drain also have a painters pole mast i have a 3d printed mount for cheap solar yard lights or the green red for front and even underwater lighting and camera 📸 /depth finder/speed mount . its kinda heavy 🪨 being more than just a 100lb canoe for portaging but hey i can carry it all need be in multiple trips per portage also have no worries about polluting public parks as there's no risk of spilling 🫗 fuel ... but nothing beats the torque power ratio of fueled engines it's just nice to have options ❤ always float around during the flood stage it's the best beware of water obstacles though and whirlpools around bridges also the log 🪵 jams the 1400 watt version id have to build panels into an 🏖️☔ umbrella top but it's doable :edit upon 2nd inspection it appears your battery says Lion 🦁 lithium ion i suppose so extra light weight and more watt hr capacity per... more expensive but probably worth it unless you need the ballast weight to sit lower in the water to not be blown 🌬️🍃 around on the 13 to 17 mole long/wide lake IDK if id ocean 🪸🌊 go in a canoe 🛶 though not without sealing the top deck with a waterproof skirt like a kayak the 1200gph bildge and backup 800gph bildge though if pointed right could help provide additional thrust 😂 the size of a garden hose just 3d print a straight thruster nossle off the back maybe some additional 55gall drum 🛢️ with hydrodynamic tips additional floatation and stabizing but 3 to 4 55 gall barrels each side made into giant mono pontoons 1 each side doesn't that make it a catermaran or trimaran then? well it's still a canoe 🛶 ? great modular though 😂 maybe add some ply deck boards for walking on additional space definitely would wanna mount em forward of the rear seat unless you bypass that all together to sit top deck also a forward squirrel cage fan generator to blow your own sail absorbing the power to put to electric ⚡ motors or even direct gear'd ⚙️⚙️ or tranny geared for different wind speed or underway speed efficiency 🚲 bicycle drivetrain mounted to it aughta do 😂 ... shoot then we're having so much fun we even forgot to go fishin 🎣
