  • Here's a tutorial on the telecommunication technologies that impacted the 5G Challenge.
NTIA's Institute for Telecommunication Sciences (ITS), in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering administered the 2022 and 2023 5G Challenge prize competitions with the goal to:
    • Accelerate the adoption of open interfaces, interoperable subsystems, and multi-vendor solutions
    • Spur competition, drive down costs, increase supplier diversity, and enable new entrants to take advantage of the expanding 5G marketplace
The 2022 5G Challenge closed on September 30, 2022, with the distribution of prizes worth $3,000,000. Find out more at its.ntia.gov/r...
The 2023 5G Challenge closed on September 21, 2023, with the distribution of prizes worth $7,000,000. Find out more at its.ntia.gov/r...

Both At&t and Verizon are 5G Non Stand alone with their MMwave NR band 260 and NR77 C band but t-mobile is on another level like bruh they already had stand alone 5G NR since like end of 2021 or something it was N71 their low band I belive in some cases now you can already do carrier aggression with N41 as well as VoNR t-mobile is really ahead of the game just generally
