I do everything from my iPhone so videos are still pretty basic-one day I hope to have a camera and editor! Thx for asking!

So, you just got yourself a sub, sweetheart (I mean that "sweetheart" respectfully, I'm southern, but recently learned some people think it's rude 😬 so I'm very sorry if it's offensive, it comes from the heart, yet I won't do it again if you prefer)!

I had a similar problem. I didn't want to install a double deadbolt for security. But I found a video that shows how you can install an interior jamb-lock.
Yet again killing it on another project! Flawless work you guys. This front door debacle reminded me of the rule of construction/diy that myself and my husband have often experienced ourselves... '1. it'll take twice as long, 2. it'll cost twice as much, and 3. you're not the exception' LOL! Well worth the efforts for that gorgeous door!!

Wow, who would have thought replacing a front door would entail so much work?!! Congrats on the finished result. It looks lovely :-) Just a thought, though - you may have to apply a tint film to the windows to prevent fading of your rugs and flooring.

Looks awesome. I busted a giant hole in our solid fiberglass door a few years ago and added a glass kit. Makes such a difference with all the light!! I feel like stain is so hard to get just right…glad that part went so smoothly. 😉

i would make a suggestion…before staining use a wood toner which allows wood to accept stain more evenly rather than parts dark and parts light. I believe Minwax makes one. We were recommended to use this we when had all new Pella windows installed years ago. So glad we used it but man…stinky stuff!
Andrea can use power tools, but can't handle a tiny mouse???....thank heavens for "handsome helping hands"....AKA sar-dean(lol).....the combination of these two wonderful human beings always makes me smile and laugh, not to mention learning a thing or two.....the door came out beautiful (inside and out)....love the choice of stain too!!!....
As a kid, my siblings and I were playing in the barn when my brother picked up a small box, only to have a mouse jump out at him. He dropped the box, which landed at his feet, so the mouse scurried up his leg.😂 He screamed just like Andrea was screaming.😂He did a nice Irish jig while screaming😂😂😂 His brother and sisters were not much help.
