I juat wanted to say thank you to Andrea for lifting me out of my own design depression and making me once more feel confident to tackle my own home again ( tool's are being dusted off! ) She is inspiring totally. And thanks to Dean for the goffy giggles always, your bloopers are legendary! The entrance way looks divine, but we knew it would.
Love, love, love!!! I agree...she needs a mobile workbench for her miter saw...and one for her table saw...they could disconnect when she needs to use them separately and connect when she needs both of them...her design for that would be so imaginative.
This looks simple to some, but a doorway is the primary area of the house before you get inside, psychologically it may have a positive effect on your attitude and on how you view your home management. ✨

I had a similar problem. I didn't want to install a double deadbolt for security. But I found a video that shows how you can install an interior jamb-lock.

@@HannahMattox my talents are in the kitchen-I focus mainly on gluten and dairy free cooking and baking for folks with food allergies-many people think/feel like there is nothing left to eat once you remove those two ingredients I show them how to create fabulous meals snacks and desserts free of most food allergens! I do everything from my iPhone so videos are still pretty basic-one day I hope to have a camera and editor! Thx for asking!

My husband is doing his best to be vegan, but it's hard to find good recipes without spending a ton on cookbooks specifically for that stuff. So, you just got yourself a sub, sweetheart (I mean that "sweetheart" respectfully, I'm southern, but recently learned some people think it's rude 😬 so I'm very sorry if it's offensive, it comes from the heart, yet I won't do it again if you prefer)!
@@HannahMattox sweetheart it is - yes there is a lot of things that trigger poor and troubled digestion and we all can be very guilty of consuming lots of crap-mine is sugar and chocolate! I find it too hard to get enough protein to feel full to be vegan or vegetarian tried it many times! Having a well balanced diet in the age of fast food is really hard! Thx for the ❤️

i would make a suggestion…before staining use a wood toner which allows wood to accept stain more evenly rather than parts dark and parts light. I believe Minwax makes one. We were recommended to use this we when had all new Pella windows installed years ago. So glad we used it but man…stinky stuff!

Yet again killing it on another project! Flawless work you guys. This front door debacle reminded me of the rule of construction/diy that myself and my husband have often experienced ourselves... '1. it'll take twice as long, 2. it'll cost twice as much, and 3. you're not the exception' LOL! Well worth the efforts for that gorgeous door!!
As a kid, my siblings and I were playing in the barn when my brother picked up a small box, only to have a mouse jump out at him. He dropped the box, which landed at his feet, so the mouse scurried up his leg.😂 He screamed just like Andrea was screaming.😂He did a nice Irish jig while screaming😂😂😂 His brother and sisters were not much help.
That 1/4" underlayment isn't rated for exterior use, it's used for floors. I would've put the door trim on first then put lp smartside panels in between the trim pieces, that would've eliminated that 1/4" gap you had to caulk around the trim. Door looks great, you guys did an awesome job! Doors can be a pain in the you know what!
I’m excited about the lock. I have to get one for a little Cottage at Canyon Lake. I plan to rent on Airbnb. 😅 And of course that door is the chef’s kiss!🎉🎉🎉
