Chanty is half Filipino and Argentinian.She can speak Filipino, English, Spanish,and Korean.She is also an actres here in the Philippines and now she is part of K-pop group (lapillus)together with other members Shana,Bessie,Haeun,Yue,and Seowon.
Fyi the leader Shana was on girls planet 99 and nearly debuted in Kep1er but was eliminated in the finals.
I'm happy she debuted with this group I feel like they all go together like they have so much potential together I'm excited for them
Although I agree on her being young, I would give her and MLD a pass after seeing her perform. She's too good already at that age to be kept in the back. She's shines too bright that eventually she'll debut anyway at age 14 or 15.
The fact that their maknae is the one who actually eat this concept even the way she talk and behave in a lot of their videos shows that she is a very hip-hop girl

I see nothing wrong with the youngest member being 13. My niece is in dance and is 13 she performs in dance competitions. As long as the dance is not provocative it’s fine.
Randomly checked this out the other day and I was so surprised. I didn’t expect this sound but o.m.g it’s totally my type of gg sound. I didn’t know though that there was a literal 13yo in here at the time and rewatching it again now is abit weird knowing that 😳 I agree, kpop needs to calm down w the baby debuts :/ anw the song in its own is still 🔥 tho and same, a minute in on my first listen I was like omg yes GYM BOP.
You should also listen to their unreleased single "queendome", it has a normal song structure but has a strong sound. It's not officialy released yet but you can look up there performance from there debut showcase, other's are actually considering it better than the debut which i was kinda skeptical because how are you gonna top "hit ya!" but they still managed to suprise me, "queendome" gives more justice to their vocals than "hit ya!" in my opinion 👁👄👁

Just seen KCON LA. Lapillus improved immensely, they put out performances that always rocks🤘. That one is no exemption. The opening with Everglow was lit. 🔥

I think the company took a risk by experimenting, breaking the norms and even the girls took the risks,i mean Chantal was already a rising star in PH but took a leap of faith by chasing what she loves thats why this girls,this group is unique.
This is a banger workout song. It's better than the nmixx debut but surprisingly I actually vibe with that song now which I absolutely hated at first.
It was weird seeing classy which I think is even younger than this group but the music was ok.
I agree with having them wait til at least 17 but it's kinda like college bb right now, play the talent or they bolt cause the options, g-league or overseas, is there.

One thing is for sure, the Philippines is turning out hard for this group. Most of the reactions on youtube for this song are from the PI, and they were interviewed by CNN-PI. It has been pretty heartwarming seeing how proud they are of Chanty.

The funny thing is, I'm not sure how much...song there is here? It's like the producers just sat in the control room and set all the dials to "Banger". But I'm not complaining! I think it's big swing for a debut and at the end there's some vocal runs and adlibs that demonstrate they certainly can sing. Definitely stands out for me among the many comebacks in the past couple weeks. Also, I highly recommend giving Bugaboo "Pop!" a shot, I feel like it's getting lost in the shuffle and I liked it a lot.

@@KpopPrince I believe MLD will either release it as a special release and try to salvage whatever the amount of hype that's left for that song, or they do the classic MLD move (make bad decisions) which is to let the song go to waste. Queendom has a lot of potential, it would've been the best follow up for Hit Ya. But I guess it's a missed opportunity on MLD's end.
This was a digital single. They performed a b-side at their showcase, but it hasn't been released yet. There are fancams of it, but video quality isn't great. The b-side itself slaps. Idk why they didn't release it

It’s their choice to become an idol. For them the sooner they debut the better. The contract will end sooner and they will have more options. We all know the standard contract is 7 years. For a 14-15 year old they will have no contractual obligations at 21-22. They can go to college or enter the workforce at the normal age as everyone else. This is important if they didn’t earn much during their career.
I agree, The people that say that dumb stuff are probably sheltered and doesn't realize that most people have full time jobs right out of high school.

Agreed with everything that you said about the underage situation, i talked enough about it on discord already. The song so is really good, love just the pure angry hard instrumental to the point they don't have a second verse. And the Choreo hits hard my favourite things from this debut!
Michael Jackson debuted at 6 or 8 and no one said anything against that. So why is it an issue in kpop?

Also when you see so many idols having mental breakdown, mental health issues, have to go on hiatus and they are 20+ yo i can't imagine how hard it is and how harder it will be to handle the "idol life" as a 13/14 yo. They have a 2 more Song release last September the song GRATATA it's more Powerful Performance and Passionate song and even the other One Burn with love.
I think the youngest an idol should debut is 17-18. And normalize idols debuting at like mid 20s like Sandara Park and Bom from 2NE1or re debut at their mid 20s like Yujin from Kep1er

No there is no one making a bad decision here. If she is skilled enough and wants to debute the bad decision would be the companing stealing her opportunity because of 2-3 uptight people. Why would they wait until 17 or 18 if they are ready? It's just a waste of time. What matters is that it should be their own decision, that's all. It's okay to be an actress or an influencer at a young age but singing and dancing is "gross"? wtf?? I don't know why some people seems disturbed by young idols but at the same time don't give a fuck about young western singers: Miley Cyrus (13), Billie Eilish (14), Justin Bieber (15), Katy Perry (16). Or even Michael Jackson (11) or Stevie Wonder (12), although it's another era.
About what you said at the beginning about the fact that a 13yo can't fit this concept especially with the age difference about the other members: That's just Prejudice/generalization. She was awesome in that song. If you check the comments of the song or the reactions of those not knowing her age, she's is the one grabbing the most attention thanks to her skills and some even believe that she is the most experienced/old one.

Personally, my issue with debuting youngsters is more about robbing them of the chance to enjoy their youth. And with all the pressure of the industry not to talk about the short career span of a lot of these girl groups especially from smaller companies. Her contract runs out and she is barely 21. I just can't help but wonder what happens after her contract runs out and she doesn't succeed solo.
