Yes they both murdered their husband but Myra did not intend to kill hers and yes the both had a daughter who was addicted to drugs but Myra's did not die (thanks to Myra). The only similarity really was they were both Top Dog and they both cared about the other women.
Myra Desmond, amazing character ❤️She was firm, fair and tough, yet she was caring and motherly all at the same time. I just watched her final scene, so sad

@@Redsleather We're probably both right. R. I. P the late lovely Anne. Val Fiona and Gérard were all at an event in the 🇬🇧 prob abt 10 yrs ago. She's the only one that didn't smile. I only wanted to meet Fiona anyway so I wasn't disappointed 😁
Why does judy go over the top when she's stressed 😂 the screaming during the riot and when she said to marie "if I can't see you I can certainly smell you" she is funny but sometimes acts like a child 😂😂😭
Betty Bobbitt had certainly lost it during the last few years in the show, with her overacting and hysterical delivery of her lines, screaming ‘OH MY GAWD!’ while waving her arms about. The character should have gone by 1982

I loved Myra, she was a brilliant character. She is right up there with Bea as my favourite Top Dog.
She pretty much is Bea II - her story is so similar they clearly decided to stick 'with what works!

They recycled so much of Bea's backstory with Myra. Murdering the cheating husband. The drug addict daughter.
They did similar with Rita and her drug addict brother Bongo.
I read on facebook today that the guy that played wally on prisoner passed away

she is over the top with the endless OMG and ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND lines when not needed and goes into stroppy child like moods
Myra's husband was a bustard she did the right thing killing him even if she ended up in jail for it
