This makes me incredibly sad & hopeful at the same time-bittersweet feeling, cause I lost the excitement of being 22 to mental illnesses & the pandemic; but this song reminds me that the joyful spirit of youth can be found no matter your age, and I can be grieving what I didn't get to experience while still having faith in the possibility to get it all in the future. Brighter days are ahead, not stuck behind like ghosts of things I never had when I should have.
Right! Not everybody’s timeline is the same! Ages get romanticised because a lot of people experience the same things at the same age. The pandemic made this generation differ from that. And you are your own journey :)

Also, among the original Red tracks that have been re-recorded, this comes right after the 5 minute All Too Well. One of the saddest songs she ever made followed up by one of the happiest, most upbeat songs of her career.
