Fabulous. I've been waiting for this car for over 7 years since I bought my first 9-5 Aero SW. Will be placing my order in October for a 2.0 Lt 190 Bhp Aero version in Snow Silver with 19" Turbine Wheels to boot.
I've tested this car and it's wonderfull in all respects. Absolutely the best car they've made and for sure the best all around car i've ever driven. The thing has a death grip on the road and the 300hp engine will keep you pressed against the seat asking for more fun. Don't knock it till you've tried it all you haters out there.
Positive review, but seems none of the reviews these days talking about most important things - reliability and safty. and saab would be a leader in mid class. I have 9-3 2008 200miles on the clock the only visits to garage are change oil, tyres, bulbs and filters for the last 5 years. Go Saab Go!
I would buy one. I am not sure if I would be able to find any parts for it if it brake down though. Wondering if the warranty will be honored by GM? I may make this my second car once I am older and finished with my Masters in EE.
I was never a fan of SAAB's, but when I saw in the street one day, it looked so good, I did not care if it drove well or if it was fast. I just loved looking at it and I would love see some businessmen switching from all the BMW's to this. Would definately make better image than Beemer :D
@reddexred Yes I agree with you. I love both brands, they are refined. Of course Alfa know a thing or two about rust, but they are brilliant cars now and Saabs in my opinion have always been so.
@mark1simon Calling it an Insigina is a bit crude although there is a lot of GM DNA. The steering wheel and rear seat entertainment is shared with the Buick Lacrosse for example.
I just wanted to let you know that SAAB was bought out by another company. And even though they are a company that will most likely make SAAB into Electric cars, they have agreed to continue producing replacement parts for our beloved SAABS of today. If you'd like, contact a local SAAB garage and they will fill you in on everything! Ride easy in a SAAB!
People who think this car is strange, that's because it is strange. Saab has been the quirky brand in the past making distinctive cars and that was the selling point. It was different. Personally, it looks great, but I would have it more daring. However, that would diminish the sales because of the majority.
Lexus styling sucks so much, it's beyond me why so many people buy Lexus. But then, lots of people listen to Justin Bieber, which is also beyond me :) For me, make it SAAB 9-5 for traveling, and Lotus Evora S for weekend, and I am the happiest man
@tobythesandwich koenisegg have issued a press release in the past few days regarding viewing the bankrupsy as another opportunity to make another deal
@dolphtrains2 Not really. They are looking for protection but have been on the ropes for some time. Koenigsegg saw what Spyker went through and wouldn't take that risk. I'd love to see Saab succeed. But let's be honest. They got a bit too "luxurious". Nobody's going to pay $40k+ for one. I know I wouldn't. It's why I'll buy it when it's cheap after typical Saab rock-in-water depreciation lol
Let China do it right.... Saab, engineering on a different path from the rest. I would test drive the China made models as soon as they come out. GM corporation too bad you desired profits and cheap designs over safety and engineering..... farewell.
@dolphtrains2 No. They aren't going to buy them. The press release wasn't official either. Mostly just smoke and mirrors saying they could probably buy a chunk of the company. Mostly real estate. Not Saab itself. Koenigsegg can't run the price as high as some of the chinese companies. Not to mention any GM backing leaves Saab with nothing.
''starter button is now down here instead of where it was up here'' ......erm. has this guy ever driven a saab? ....the ignition has always been by the gearlever
@harri38 To make new parts, where its allready good enough parts as it is, is just bad buissniess. ofc most brands are splitting the costs to build a platform or share some parts, when it does the same job.. But a saab is a saab, and nothing like the crap theyr sharing a few parts with. doubt gm is giving the same guarantees on theyr garbage cars. Damn i love that Saab is out of the shitty GM.
Such a bold car that isn't afraid to be different. Huge room in the back too.
Such a shame that GM killed Saab.
Saab need to come back for the people who want them..and there's many!
I'm a Volvo fan but love Saab's quirkiness.
İf there are many people wanted it wont be fall. People didnt buy it and left saab its destiny.sadly.
please come back Saab.
Saabs and Alfas are for people with refined taste.....
i miss saab, like i would miss volvo or jaguar if they disapear. COME BACK SAAB

How's it going
The estate version was beautiful

Gorgeous car, all I can say is that!
Yeah saab is a heavy build car and durable too..
This is definitely the type of car that will keep everyone guessing
I LOVE this car it is super good looking and i would love to have one!

I guess you meant 200 thousand miles?
That projector is fucking awesome!
So sad that it became Saab's last car 😢
Such a shame that the company is no longer around...
I would buy one. I am not sure if I would be able to find any parts for it if it brake down though. Wondering if the warranty will be honored by GM? I may make this my second car once I am older and finished with my Masters in EE.
The Saab brand still exists. Such a shame Geely didn't buy and do what they have with Volvo.

@MrZiggas But does it have the coolst feature ever: Head-up display in the window?
R.I.P Saab

I miss.Saab :/
ONE OF THE BEST CARS I VE EVER SEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO TEST DRIVE........................
the last saab :(
I love you Saab.
Great review. The nose looks like the front of a Boeing. Its beautiful
@mark1simon Calling it an Insigina is a bit crude although there is a lot of GM DNA. The steering wheel and rear seat entertainment is shared with the Buick Lacrosse for example.
it is fantastic!
@mark1simon this was produced by GM
Beautiful car
Awesome. I'd have one over a soulless German saloon any day.
@tobythesandwich youngman and koenisegg are keen to do another deal. by the sounds of it bankruptsy may have made the deal easier to secure

A really nice car

such a pity that Saab was fucked up , and we still have way to many GM brands left ...
i really like it

SAAB come back!
Great review! I hope Saab will be more successful now that GM is out of its hair. Who's the reviewer... He's cute.
Боже хочу такой авто.

I'v lived my life loving and owning saab's this is much much better than the shite GM were forcing them to turn out.................
proportions are strange looking........the roof looks very high and its not raked back far enough. It's just weird to me
@dolphtrains2 No. They aren't going to buy them. The press release wasn't official either. Mostly just smoke and mirrors saying they could probably buy a chunk of the company. Mostly real estate. Not Saab itself.

''starter button is now down here instead of where it was up here'' ......erm. has this guy ever driven a saab? ....the ignition has always been by the gearlever
Haha, but he does actually says "Trollhattan". xD
