The weirdest date I've been to was when I was 20 years old. I met this guy who is a "chef" in a restaurant. We went to visit a tourist spot in my hometown along with these two other couples (his friends). When we arrived at the place, of course we had to pay for the entrance so I approached the booth right away. Shocking, no one came to follow me, so I thought I'll just pay for everyone thinking they would pay me later. Buti nalang bagong sweldo, so I have money naman. At the end of the day, until leaving the place, hinatid niya ako sa bahay, no one has approached to pay me back. 😅😅 My mistake was I didn't ask din namn. Haha, I never replied to that guy again, hindi kami close nung friends niya tapos ako pinagbayad. The lesson learn from that is ALWAYS ASK FIRST BEFORE MAKING THE MOVE. 😅
Hi Nicole. I guess we share something in common - our fascination for learning new words. I remember in grade school, my favorite past time was reading the dictionary as it helped enhance my vocabulary. I was so obsessed with learning how to speak English, properly. Maybe this is one reason why I eventually became a writer/editor. However, that obsession became both a blessing and a curse as I seem to edit everything I read or hear [in my mind lang naman, because I don't want to be one of those annoying grammar nazzis who try to correct their friends all the time. haha]. Anyway, do you have a favorite word? Mine is PERNICKETY. I just love the way it sounds. It means being fussy and exacting, giving attention to the smallest details, which is exactly how I am. :)
