This arrangement is truly outstanding. There are any number of musician's that are very good in a technical way. But this was magical, with the various self-accompaniments and subtleties of the various notes. The delicate movement of the fingers across the frets of the instrument, as a Van Gogh or Picaso paints a masterpiece this arrangement was such a creation.
Who could possibly hit the dislike button for such a beautifully played piece of music that clearly comes from this lady’s soul. Ignore the haters, this was amazing! ❤️
Whilst I do agree that it is an amazingly beautiful cover version, I believe that the TH-cam algorithm at the moment rewards activity on channels. So likes, dislikes, comments and subs all go to help the creators. So the joke is on those people who don’t share the same taste in music that we obviously do.
I've said many times, the 70's was the greatest decade for music. Simon, Croce, Taylor, I could list names for days and they're all deserving of mention.
Sheer elegance and beauty . This is my first time seeing/hearing Stephanie and certainly won’t be the last . Her tone , her technique , her movements are all delightful . She takes this wonderful , timeless classic song and makes it even better by her lovely virtuosity . Thank you, Stephanie for this precious gift . George Lewis, Sr.
Brought me to tears... took me back to my growing up in the 60’s. A time of civil unrest and hope for the future..Simon and Garfunkel left us with a unforgettable time stamp in the soundtrack of our lives ☮️
If there is one thing I could wish for and be granted would be able to play any instrument with a passion and beauty shown here. I have tried and failed. Even singing is not within me. But to hear others that have such an ability is a pleasure I enjoy. Those that can, do. Those that can't, well we sit back and enjoy.
Let the frustration be the water that feeds your roots. Make it a daily habit. Watch what happens after one year. You will look back and laugh. And then maybe play a song about it.
My dad said to me once: there are two kinds of people in this world, the ones who make music and the ones who listen to it. And...they can't live without each other!
Also, remember: Music is communication, not competition. I was at a blues festival once, great artists from all over the world played very sophisticated and technically challenging music, it was great! Then, on the last night, this wizened old guy came on, he could barely play three chords and probably didn't even know what those chords were called. He sang out of tune. And he brought the house down! Blew the roof off the place! Why? Because he didn't play the blues, he WAS the blues!
We dont need a million sing and song writers who think they can play the guitar while in fact they Just can play 10 chords. We only need a few people Like you to Make us smile. Only a few to Make us cry and relaxed. Thanks for sharing your amazing skills.
Well, you have to start somewhere. At sometime in her early career, I bet she only knew 10 chords. I know what you mean though.😁 Mastery of the guitar...that's a whole different animal, and she's got that down. I'm very envious...and admire her playing very much. Not just the technical aspects of her playing, but the emotion that so sweetly comes out of her guitar that she put into it.
STANDING OVATION. Your playing has reacquainted me to the sweet, stunning, expanse of Awe, and provided my fingers inspiration to regain my physical skills of playing acoustic guitar, lost after my body's cerebellar stroke. Thank You Ms. Jones, Thank You.
Absolutely unbelievable!! The raw talent and pure joy that she exudes is off the charts for me. Thanks very, very much for sharing this video. Magnificent!
I truly admire you for learning to play a guitar so well. It's a testimony to your determination and persistence. I'm mediocre, and there is no joy in mediocrity, as my old voice teacher used to say. Your performance is beautiful.
Oh my, this is an amazingly beautiful version of this song ... Like something beautiful from another era ... What a beautiful tribute to Simon and Garfunkel
An unbelievable, incredibly beautiful treatment of an iconic song exploring the heights and depths of emotion far beyond the constraints of lyrics. Thank you!!
You have captured the essence of the original and enhanced the emotional impact with repetition, sustain and emphasis of key phrase elements. Mysterious, melancholic and memorable. Paul Simon would be proud of your performance. 🤗🤗🤗♥️🌹
The most emotional rendition of music I have listened to. Loved every note and every sound. So much feeling shared in this beautiful song by a beautiful person.
THIS is exquisitely beautiful. I was NOT expecting classical guitar. I'm a huge Simon and Garfunkel fan....WHAT a beautiful presentation!!! SUBSCRIBED...
Wow! This made me shed a tear or two. It’s so hard to describe how amazing this is. The duality of guitar and vocal melody. Working simultaneously. A completely new concept of the song. And the performance. WOW!!!! That guitar playing is as natural as a person breathing.
The absolte best rendition of this wandefull classic song, I have seen your video 10000 time and I love it more every time.....vravo stephanie vravo......jose from texas.
Sweet Stephanie, what an amazing gift from God. Your beautiful rendition of Simon & Garfunkel's masterpiece touches the core of our souls. Thank you for sharing your God given talent with the world.
This is one of the most beautiful sounds I have ever heard and the most beautiful of God's creation playing an instrument....i cannot express myself enough.
As one who can see the exit sign blinking, everyone I've loved and known have gone on. But for a brief moment you've brought back thier memories, and for that I thank you. Semper fi
Goosebumps moment! Excellent feel to sound suited for the atmosphere/mood of the song, stylish flaggiolets as bonus. Really great interpretation and so delicately played. Simply lovely!
This is quite beautiful and played with emotion by this lady, you should not waste words on dislikes here. Simon & Garfunkel, God, what a privilege it is to live in the era of these two gentlemen !!
The most stunning, almost haunting rendition of this all-time favorite song of mine that I've ever heard! If I was either Simon or Garfunkel, I'd want to meet you and thank you for giving such beautiful life to this song...
This version is beautiful I can't take anything away from the talent of this beautiful young woman but have a listen to disturbed rendition of this song, some regard it as the best cover of any song ever, I'd have to agree to some point too
The kind of talent that ties the skill of your fingers directly to your heart is a gift from God. I practice and I play, but play is a good word for what I do compared to this. Thank you , performance was pure joy.
I wish I had as sufficient grasp of language as you do the guitar then maybe I could find a compliment that does justice to this beautiful arrangement and performance, you’ve taken a classic in its own right and made it your own with this 💜
Absolutely incredible playing! As a classical guitar student it is amazing to watch you perform, and gives me inspiration to continue my study. Thank you very much Stephanie.
Is this her own arrangement? Because if it is, it would demonstrate she has an absolutely stellar musical sensitivity. After the actual technique, coming up with just the right fiorituras or embellishments to elevate the piece to stratospheric levels, like for this amazing interpretation of Simon's masterpiece, is where the main difficulties lie. Truly awesome. Ironically, this very sparse or economical rendition, where all notes are important, perfectly renders the meaning of the title... Less is more.
Paul Simon has writen the lyrics and the melody for many songs, many hits. This one, Sounds of Silence, is both so simple and so emotionally packed. Ms. Jones arrangement capitalized on that sparseness and individual character- Bravo!
As someone of Simon & Garfunkel's generation lm so glad to see a young generation enjoyng their beautiful music.
The music doesn't just flow through your fingers, it's really in your heart. Wonderful.
That. Is. Sound my like❤ thank you. Playing I see❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This arrangement is truly outstanding. There are any number of musician's that are very good in a technical way. But this was magical, with the various self-accompaniments and subtleties of the various notes. Agreed, Lawson and Trueman’s arrangements are exceptional, and Steph really does this arrangement justice.
There’s a connection between her brain and her guitar that is seldom seen in meer mortals…superpowers on display here….awe-struck
Whenever I find myself disgusted by the world today I can still find comfort in the arts and believe music to be art in its purest form.

Jealous people that have no such talents.
My guess are those who can’t hear a musician. This is a beautiful arrangement her classical pose is beautiful
i disliked cause shes a woman

This song was composed in 64 not the 70’s later used in 68 for the movie the graduate
Stephanie, you are a peaceful breath of fresh air during these turbulent times.
Thank you.
Love from the States. ♥️🇺🇸

So true, forever shaped by the 60’s.
What a wonderful version of this fantastic song! Thank you very much, Stephanie, for sharing this with the world!
Yes doing ❤
This is why Stephanie is my most favorite guitarist. She seems to feel every sound in her soul.
If there is one thing I could wish for and be granted would be able to play any instrument with a passion and beauty shown here. I have tried and failed. Even singing is not within me. Keep trying?
Let the frustration be the water that feeds your roots. Make it a daily habit. Watch what happens after one year. You will look back and laugh. And then maybe play a song about it.
Don't doubt yourself. With dedicated effort and proper choices to work within your limits, you can express yourself artistically and create beauty.

The Sound of Silence has so much to say when Stephanie plays. This truly is perfection.
Been listening to this instrumental number again and again. Simply the best version of the song the way its played. Beautifully done.
Incredible arrangement and still one I come back too. Beautiful.

OMG, this is the most beautiful performance of this song I've ever seen, heard or thought possible. And yes she is beautiful too. Two thumbs girl
Felt every note she played there and the beauty of that was you could tell she did as well.
Enchanting. Thank you Stephanie x
I have listened to lots of music on TH-cam and this was the most heartfelt piece I've heard yet. This I will remember.
Bravo, and performed with heart felt emotion, thankyou.
It was acustic though...anybody could do acustic

Who could possibly give a thumbs down to this exceptional talent. Great musician playing with out sheet music. Excellent.
Metal Heads and Stone Hearts.
There are so many talented people in the world, Stephanie Jones certainly one of them.
Check out also Tina S. and her idol Ana Vidovic. Well worth it.

I have no words to describe the enjoyment that your interpretation of his song gives me!!! You are extraordinary!!!
Just beautiful. I'v loved Simon & Garfunkel music since I was a kid, and this piece is just amazing Stephanie.

I didn't want the song to end. So I will just replay it a few times. Wonderful, thanks!

Wonderfully sensitive musician, gorgeous arrangement. I'm sure this made your mum very happy on her birthday. Brava!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think its not acoustic because its a classic guitar.

Absolutely not. I prefer Stephanie’s version. However, there’s room for them both. It isn’t a competition.
Absolutely stunning rendition.
Thank you!
I WOULD HAVE loved TO HEAR THE FULL SONG FROM YOU ! Great RENDITION from you, to one of the greatest songs ever written !!!
I love your acoustic version,amazing
Love the song and thoughtful rendition, but am even more impressed by how much time it must have taken to appear so effortless in her performance.

Belíssimo arranjo, e que interpretação impecável.
Lovely arrangement. The short necked classical guitar almost makes it sound medieval. Thanks!
Uma linda interpretação. Não tinha visto ainda alguém tocar violão como se estivesse tocando arpa. Parecendo uma dança de bailarina. Parabéns
You have got "it". That quality that sets you apart from the many.
Beautiful Mrs. Jones, thank you. ❤️
This is the music angels play when you are welcomed into heaven...
Nice sentiment. It's just a shame that there is no such place.
