A COMPLETE mood. 💗
I’m right there with y’all.
You can use your own foundation in airbrush. You will need to thin it if its too thick with a serum or oil. Your holding it too close but it takes playing around with it to get a better technique.
You thin it with Airbrush thinner
@@finessence808 Ive always used serums or oil in mine. I haven't used it in awhile though. It was so popular about 6 or 7 years ago every bride was requesting it
Omg! Thank you for this! I've always wondered. I have an airbrush machine and never used it bc I didn't like their foundations! Do you have a ratio?
@@britaprice9401 It needs to be thin enough to flow through easily but not effect coverage. I had to mess around with it to get it right
@@Maturleyglam girl, I'll get back to ya cause im definitely gone try it!
The patchiness is most likely caused by tilting the end of the airbrush downwards. When doing that the product is getting pushed to the back and not forward like you want and in return causing the skipping!
I used to always do my makeup with an airbrush machine but got away from it cuz it is time consuming. What I do still do sometimes is put my setting spray in the machine when I'm goin out. Gives an amazing finish to your makeup
Shayla Gould that sounds like a good setting spray hack tho! 💯🤔👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Ooooooh gonna have to try that! I have the machine!
Yea it's worth a try. It gives you that perfect mist in my opinion
Shayla Gould Yes Great idea! It is time consuming
Ima gonna try that, it's just about Right 👍
Anyone remember infomercials selling air brush makeup?
Yes. I love infomercials LOL.
OMG remember how all the women's eyes were open getting hella sprayed, you could see them trying to squint!! ("Can you feel that Laurie!!! Its SO GENTLE you don't even have to close your EYES!!!")And then their hair!!! It was BLOWING in the wind ("and because the spray is SO FINE it doesn't leave ANY color in your HAIR!!!!")🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
But. If its spraying all over your hair shouldn't it be leaving color? After all, if it's spraying on your face it does. And same with the eyes, right? Or does the machine magically know where to spray color and where to only spray a gentle current of air..🤣😃🤣🤣😃🤣🤣😃
At 3 in the morning
YES AND NOW MY MOM HAS IT LOL
Love the melanin! As a dark skin woman, new to makeup, I love that there is a channel tailored to us. Thank you!
BTW: I was first...yay!
Have so much fun discovering how makeup can enhance your natural beauty as a black woman!. :)
Tanisha Hemmings Yes her content Rocks!
I’m not a woman of colour but this positivity makes me so so happy !! 💗💗
I love Nyma and her voice. There's something sooo relaxing about watching her.
Same here 😊😊😢😢
i’m literally almost like the lightest skin tone person but i LOVE your channel. I learn so much. My neck and chest are way lighter than my face so trying to match everything is a struggle but your hacks for your skin honestly help me out even if we’re on completely different sides of the spectrum.
Use the medium power setting on the airbrush and work in sections during foundation application. Maintain the distance of the airbrush from the face, about one inch. Move the airbrush in circular motions and start from the center of the face and move outward. Do not go over the same place with the airbrush again, because that will cause patchiness. Instead, go over it with a beauty blender to even out the foundation. Airbrush makeup is really long lasting and it makes the skin look flawless!
It makes zero sense to me how a company would sell a deep skin tone package like that, and the “bronzer” is literally lighter than the foundation shades. Like how many levels of approval did that go through and not a single person spoke up and said ummm this might make us look like a joke ? Since it’s basic knowledge that bronzer is supposed to bronze Up the face, and be a deeper tone than your base shade.
Idk. It just gets me going man. ridiculous.
Unfortunately, I think when this happens it isn't completely an oversight, and more likely it operates within a consistent (though false) logic. There is a persisting notion that darker skin tones don't need to be bronzed/deepened. Hence how many companies rationalize the decision to sell bronzers that are significantly lighter than their deepest foundations.
This notion is of course a white one.
Yeah, you can really tell when a company doesn't hire people with melanin in the product development department. They always make it obvious they have a diversity problem *cough*tarte*cough*.
YAAAAAAAAS nyma! Continue reppin for women of color even Latinas such as myself! Sending you loads of love from Boston xx
i cannot stress this enough but you are so pretty and you deserve 1 million subscribers and more!! the melanin you have is so precious and im glad you know😍💗
"I did lose a nail.

One of the best influencers on the scene, you can’t even deny it
Gamer George Yes she is
I don’t know if you’ve changed your routine or anything but your skin looks absolutely flawless in this video! I’ve never tried airbrush makeup and it was very cool to explore it with you :)
I’d love to see you play with the airbrush makeup for a while and do another follow up video. I’ve watched a few others use airbrush machines and they did hold it 2-3 times further away than you did for foundation application and it was really quick and non blotchy/patchy. Loved the colour match of the foundation and the hilighter looked amazing on your skin!
Yay Nyma is back so glad to see you again. You are glowing for sure!!
Deezie 617 Yes she is
I've done airbrush for years. Just hold your stylo further back and move it in circular motions. Also you can use your own foundations like others have said by thinning it down with a serum or oil or water for a more perfect match (Any foundation will work). I have owned the Luminess two different times and liked it just the cleanup to ensure my stylo did not clog ended up taking as long as regular makeup application in the end but you can't beat the lightweight feel of airbrush on the skin especially during summer. Good luck honey and enjoy your new airbrush it's fun truly and great for client application because it's totally hygienic this way with no touching the actual face. Love ya lady!
Really enjoyed this video, feel like we got a taste of your personality more than usual and I love it
I remember first seeing the airbrush machine & foundation on QVC or HSN, and like you I had 0 expectations that it would work for me. But it performs pretty good! I like the highlighter the most because there’s no glitter or powder to sit on top of texture. And if the blush was in a better shade, I think it would look good.
your skin is so clear 😻
I can't get over how beautiful her skin is ❤️
for the blush/highlight, mix those with your foundation shade to make it more suitable for your skin color! And for patchiness you can practice (on a sheet of paper) with different levels of airflow from the compressor, and hold it a bit further away. Anyways, it seems like its easier to use on other people than on yourself so you did a really good job!!
OMG! First video! You’re so pretty 🤩 And the color of your skin is absolutely gorgeous! 🥺
Girl all my social media revolves around airbrush makeup! I'm so glad you tried airbrush yay!
Congratulations on 1 million subscribers!
The airbrush foundation looks flawless. It looks like very skin like.
I kept saying "hold it further away PLEATHE" at my screen as if u could hear me lmfao
Your skin is literally glowing♥️♥️♥️
It’s not fair that the “bronzer” shade can only work for 1/2 the people’s skin tones. Nyma constantly can’t use bronzers over and over again. Even fenty’s bronzer was sad for her 😭
You're at 1 milli now, woohoo!! So happy for you because you deserve it and MORE 😊
Girl no one is doing it like you on TH-cam and THATS the tea
CONGRATS ON 1 MIL 💞💞💞💞
I get so happy everytime you upload!! Love youuuuu
Amira She’s Awesome
I’ve said this a thousand times but I’m going to say it again: YOU ARE GORGEOUS ❤️ Love your videos
Wow, that hairlook is fire. I love it.
😢😮
This is so cool!! I've ever seen anything like this airbrushing makeup before! I love your videos, Nyma, thank you and blessings x
Loving this air brush foundation on you! Looking Gorgeous on the melanin skin 😍❤️
Your cheekbones and bone structure are especially prominent today. You are absolutely gorgeous! ♥️👸🏾
Helpful Tip: To avoid the splotchy effect and harsh spraying, spray the makeup on a brush or sponge and then apply to skin. I’ve had my Luminous Air compressor for years, and I never use it, it’s brand new. Just as you mentioned, it’s too much of an effort to use and clean.
Cute video! Have a beautiful day!
I'm having OG youtube flashbacks to when airbrush was hella cool. Anyone else remember?
Omg yes. And I miss Kandee!
YES! Back in like 2008 everyone had an airbrush machine!
are you 10? that’s not og youtube
sisiwx Yes Absolutely!
@@femcelgirlfren I'm 26. That was pretty og beauty TH-cam. 😂
Girl, thank you! I needed that laugh. You were a good sport. Love you to bits. 🥰
You have such a calming voice
DJ Tiger Yes she does!
I wear glasses and if I take them off I'll spray my eyes out. Another fabulous video, Nyma. I think I watch you more than the makeup lol.
When you screamed, I screamed and jumped and spilled coffee on the cat 🤣🤣 thank for trying this. I've been curious about it but I wanted to see it used by a real person. They definitely need to come up with more colors, that bubblegum pink belongs in a JoJo palette, not grown up makeup
I'm a woman of color and working makeup artist for tv and film and swear by TEMPTU products. Their stuff is tried and true, amazing, and professional. Only thing is it's pretty pricey without the Pro discount. I use Perfect Canvas with the the Temptu Air portable airbrush system and it's a staple in my kit. Ever since I saw a demo of if at IMATS with Nzhinga I've been obsessed. They also have a brilliant shade and finish range with blushes, highlights, foundations and bronzers. They can be be applied with a brush.
My wedding makeup was airbrushed and it looked so good, so little product is used but the finish is flawless 😍
Hey Nyma!!! You can improve the overall look from being patchy by slowing down your circling and applying a bit more pressure. Angle the airbrush a little more upwards and you should be a-okay! Either way you look beautiful and I was honestly so impressed with the result of the foundation ❤❤❤
Thanks for this...i was just wondering when a TH-camr would try it. Thanks for taking one for your fans!
I hate the heavy foundation feel and look , but this seems so light and airy . I need this !
Omg I can’t wait to see the outcome 👀
Girl, you're fantastic! Enjoy your realness 😚
I loved this video, so cute to see you doing something funny and laughing. You're amazing Nyma
I got the exact same machine for doing wedding makeup. I thought it would be nice to have so many shade options. You are able to color match easily (I mix a lot of them) but it’s way too time consuming. I feel like you can still get the “airbrush” effect from a sponge and some good setting spray 🤷🏼♀️
Congrats on one million❤️ Love ur positive personality 🥰
wow, your skin is really pretty. im going to see if you have posted a skin care routine
I am waaay too clumsy for stuff like this 😄 I would've got some in my eyes 😖
Cece Dawson right in the eyes
Thats what scares me the most
I would of had it in my eyes all in my hair line up my nose and probably in my lungs because I'd probably pick the wrong moment to inhale 😂
@@fallengoddess316 😂😂😂😅😅😅
You are so talented with makeup! I have loved watching ur vids! Also I love that wig
This video is hilarious, made my night 😂 you're gorgeous😍
I love watching all of your videos. They’re always so nice and calming. I did laugh so hard when you tried to highlight your brow and nose though, even woke up my baby. 🤣
I thought I'd subscribed months ago! Omg I feel so dumb. Finally fixed that. Love you Nyma!
I think if you blended things out w your beauty blender, you’d lose the patchiness. That highlight is GORGEOUS too!
The highlight gave me life!!!! 💥💥💥
Omg her skin already loooks airbrush naturally. Doesn’t need it at all.
Indeed!
Her skin is lovely! She is a few shades darker than me and is like porcelain! But I have gone my whole life in the modeling industry listening to people telling me that I didn’t need makeup, and so they rarely did my makeup properly, and I was always surrounded by women who had full proper makeup, and I looked like I didn’t even try. Therefore, I was not taken seriously. My mother tried to convince me in high school that makeup was only for white girls, so there I would be onstage, invisible in a musical theatre production. I didn’t mean to get triggered. You were giving a compliment…but when a woman wants to be glam…that is what she wants. We don’t wear makeup because we “need” it. We wear it to turn up our natural good looks. 😉
Ur hair ALWAYS looks sooo good
I flipping love this video! I’m totally fascinated with airbrush makeup 😍
I used to follow you since 100k now your at 1m 🤸♂️🎉🎉congrats luv
♥S.T.R.I.G.H.T.up♥ Yes her growth is Amazing

Girl you are beautiful!! ❤️❤️
Congrats on one mili girl!!!!! We out here supporting you all the way from New Zealand
You have really beautiful skin Nyma! ❤️
Gurl good presentation for first time don’t give up... try again💕
Oh airbrush primers are a no go for me lol I havent found 1 that actually does somthing for my skin best to just go in with a regular primer that is the same base as the airbrush you are spraying over top. Also when you were applying foundation it sounds like your aibrush has gotten dry tip. That's when makeup dries on the tip of the needle and causes a block. Hence the chchchchch sound and the patchy spray when pulling the lever back. I cant help always offering advice if you need any tips or even a walk through msg me or dm me on Instagram my tag is IHeartAirbrush there also I've been airbrushing full face for over 6 years now and have been sharing my trials and tips along the way on my social media.
Thank You for doing this!!! I have been so curious about airbrush makeup for us Black women.
I love the darker hair color around your roBots. It brings out all the pretty tones in your skin.
I hope you kept the foundation. It's the perfect color for you for low necklines and strapless.
Also, I know how it must be to get a foundation that works that doesn't clash with the backs of your hands, which can be distracting. This foundation goes excellently.
The other blush and bronzer? Hell, no! 😊
I meant roots, not robots. Autocorrect strikes again!
You should try the airbrush machine with your own liquid foundation.
I love how much fun you were having with this 😂
I have a friend that does airbrush makeup and when her clients feel like the color match isn’t exact or it a a little patchy she goes in with a damp beauty blender to smooth things out!!!
Nyma u glowing Sis ❤❤❤
thank you so much nyma!! you inspired me to make my own youtube channel!! to do makeup on! thank you so much!!
Try adding the bronzer to the foundation to create a custom bronzer shade. Maybe 1:1 or 2:1. Been doing airbrush makeup professionally on clients for awhile (and teach airbrush makeup classes) and the brand I use is KETT Cosmetics. A little on the high end side but global range of skin tones from light, medium to deep and inclusive through their contour, shadow and blushes as well (and all interminable to create custom colors and shades). You can buy sets or singles find it at musebeauty.pro. The thing about airbrush is it takes time to get used to the skill. No matter which line or machine. Keep practicing and you will love the look and feel of airbrush.
I remember being obsessed with airbrush makeup a few years ago.
You can airbrush your wigs chi! Yaaaaaaaaasssssssss hunny!!!!!
Wow congrats on 1M❤️
I just love the wig on your complexion.💗 Come thru melanin✨✨
NLT4Ever #1 Yes she looks Fabulous 😍❤️
Gorgeous 😍! So mad I missed you at Essence ....but running into you at Neyow‘s made up for it! 🥰🥰 Keep up the amazing job love! 😘
Just curious, why didn't you go with Temptu? They are the genuine article of airbrush makeup in my opinion. Just a few tips that may help for next time: When doing the area around your eyes point the wand downward towards the under eye area not upward. That should prevent the air from irritating your eyes. Next, pull you hand back away from your face a little more and keep the wand moving in circular motions. I normally start with larger circle and then get smaller. Then finally, build up the coverage. It's really difficult to get an even airbrush coverage in just 1 go. Try doing 1 pass using the circular motions, let that dry down a little then go in again in smaller circular motions to even everything out. Great video...TFS 😊
Congrats on your 1MIL🌹🌹🌹
I love your hair color! 💕
I swear your voice relaxes me 😌 lol
Nyma! Obviously, like you said, you have to develop the technique. I havent tried that brand, but I use Temtu airbrush professionally. With my clients I use the huge compressor, but Temptu has the Temtu Air, which is waaaaaaay easier to use and you just turn it on, you don’t have to plug it.
I really hope you give Temtu a chance. I think its the best brand when it comes to airbrush makeup. 👌🏼
