The top third of the puzzle gave me grief today. It took me as long to solve it as it did the remaining two thirds. The Expos did indeed play in Montreal before moving to Washington DC and changing their name to the Nationals.
Montreal Expos were an MLB baseball team until 2004. Tom Brady was an 18th round pick in ‘95 as a catcher out of high school, but he decided to play college football instead. I’d say it worked out pretty well for him
