Right across Bridge St from this cemetary used to be a brewery named after the family that ran it, Erdrick. It closed down during the Great Depression. There is a street named after him that originates on the property that now have homes there.

I lived in an apartment on Cottage Street for six years (I see it in the background, near Kennedy Street). I walked out of my building to go to work every day and had no idea how many important people's graves were there. Thanks.

Job well done Captain! Seeing your growth in production quality is a great example of “ practice makes perfect”.

Mike I really appreciate this comment. It only took me 1200 videos to learn how to do it.

Laurel Hill cemetery is one of my favorites; a very scenic cemetery overlooking kelly drive.

I was busted for disturbing the peace in that cemetery along with my friends. We were drinking and I guess we got kind of loud. I saw all those graves and tombs that the Captain mentioned and played football there for years. Wissinoming memories.

Cool, a few years ago when I returned from the Philippines I checked out my grandparents gravesites. They died in 1919 & 1931 long before was born! I am considering having my wife & my ashes there and update the tombstone information. You might consider doing a video showing the team updating the inscriptions on the stones. That would be cool! I am a Hollywood Graveyard fan, having lived in Venice, Malibu California, 1964-1988. All the best!

Wow all the years going by there on the 73 I never knew there was that much history in that cemetery. That’s awesome.
I don’t know if you’re open to suggestions but a cool cemetery to check out is Ivy Hill Cemetery. It’s a really beautiful final resting place. Also, its where the Boy in the Box is buried. He was a murder victim from the 50’s who has never been identified. The case is still cold to this day.

Great video, thank you, crazy info. The border between Frankford and Wissinoming is sometimes contested between either Cheltenham or Sanger, but it seems more likely to be Sanger. The cemetery mostly ends at Sanger, with part of it extending down to Cheltenham. Go birds.

WAIT HOLD ON!! You just gave us history! Philly born and raised and never knew this is why we have the State store unlike Jersey where everyone can sell liquor. We still call it the State store, but I always thought it was simply cause only the state could sell liquor besides the bars. I just passed it off as PA hustlin too but this is the reason. Great vids man.

I don't know why you write shit and delete it before I can read them. Nixon is know for his resignation before anything else. Its the one of first thing you are taught about when you learn about Presidents.

@@ThePhillyCaptain It would just be nice to see these President's not typecasted for a single incident. McKinley was assassinated. Lincoln freed the slaves (also assassinated), Taft got stuck in a bathtub. I go to a museum to learn new things, not be indoctornated by what an individual person or group thinks should define a President's legacy. Can't wait to see what they write for Trump.

    • @ThePhillyCaptain

Jimmy Carter had a gas pump next to him. Hover has a shack next to him. I don't think that exhibit was really for educational purposes. It's a wax museum of presidents.
