I agree but six nations/world rugby doesn't want these teams to progress, they don't want more competition and by the looks of it the don't want the sport to grow
Daaaamn didn't expect that! Congrats Belgium!!! This crowd and this historic result! My men...am so glad for you! With the Netherlands making also some progress, it looks like the REC has never been this competitive!
Please send many Dutch descent Afrikaners to live in the Netherlands and Belgium and become eligible to play for the Dutch and Belgian rugby teams. Especially the Belgians because their Flemish language is very similar to Afrikaans 😁 The Afrikaners who can’t make the Bokke team can have a second option to play nationally (Netherlands/Holland and Belgium) 🇳🇱 🇧🇪
Am I the only one that gets a lump in my throat seeing that crowd? As a rugby fan first and foremost, it gives me happy tears in my eyes, to see the game growing in the tier 2 nations, and that the teams are being supported in huge numbers by the fans. Each year, those stadiums grows fuller and I dream of the day we don’t have a tier 1 and tier 2 systems, but all the same tier. I’d be as happy for any of them to win the World Cup, even if they played the Boks in the final, as if the Bokke had won it. And I think I can speak for all true rugby fans when I say that we all want to see it happen. Sort out the Laws of the game, take away the ‘interpretation of the individual ref’ the so called grey areas, start heavily investing in the future of these tier 2 nations and you will see a different rugby landscape in 20 years. The Top Tier 1 nations, has to do more to help develop the game outside of the usual power houses. So many ex players who can go and help coach or manage teams and organisations. It genuinely makes my heart happy to see the passion growing in the tier 2 nations. And they remind me of old school Test rugby. Nitty and gritty, with some flair chucked in, for good measure and fun lol Well done Belgium. Good to see your growth the last few years. Now, keep pushing on. And commiseration to Portugal. Still probably having a hang over from the World Cup. You’ll bounce back and looking forward to seeing you play in Bloemfontein May Rugby continue to win
I think you are not the only one. I'm rugby fan from japan. I appreciate your passion. Such a comment from the people of traditional rugby powerhouse is very encouraging..
Maybe a result of there just being a World Cup in France. Of course half of Belgium speaks French and it’s less than an hour’s drive to Lille where games were held so guessing they caught some of the hype
So…. The last time these teams played each other, Belgium beat Portugal, who beat Fiji, who beat England, who drew with New Zealand, who beat Ireland, who beat the World Champions, South Africa 😂
It pains me to see Portugal, once again, throwing away the attention generated by a World Cup. The FPR has no direction, no long term plan for the league and national team. I hope a new direction replacea the current one befote it's too late. With that being said, let's hope the Lobos win all games in the REC from here and congratulations to Belgium.
They will bounce back after this. Call it a World Cup hang over if you will lol. But well played to Belgium .. it’s great to see the game growing so well there

This is great, need to keep funding & growing the game across Europe in places like NED, BEL, GER, POR, SPA, ROM & GEO!
Don't forget for Greece too!
What funding? Portugal can't afford a international level coach. They can't get the players they want from the proD2 clubs. It's depressing...

great game

Good game. Good win.
Great croes, great commentary .. tier two is on the UP !!
Congrats ❤🎉
Awesome.
Why did the ref blew the wishlist at 78:52? There's a minute left
It can happen at the lower levels where the refs match clock is out of sync with the official clock (or televised clock in this case)
Clocks weren't synced. The ref said at 74 minutes on the broadcast clock that there were 3 minutes left
How was it full time? Still a minute and a half to go?
Wow 😲
Where has that support come from 😂
Pretty cool to swe

The Belgian Mens xv should be nicknamed as 'The Waffles'. 🤙
Or there was something wrong with the clock on the screen, or the referee was late for his date???
Would be good to have a Euro cup of nations and include all of the up and coming Euro nations. Perhaps every second year.
