I just wanted her to laugh just once in El-Melloi II. That goddess quality ojousama laugh is music to my ears.
I think that's something Luvia plays up in front of Rin and Shirou specifically to annoy Rin, because it's fun to pester her rival.

Yeh I was pretty disappointed at first when she wasn’t Quetz’s vessel but I guess it’s also okay to see her suplex something 10x that’s bigger than her lol

Now I see why she’s Ron’s rival. Minus elemental affinity, she’s pretty much Rin’s equal in combat and magecraft ability. Now I’m 90% sure she knows projection magecraft along with transferring energy like Rin does after the Grail War, and in El Melloi Case Files (the novel), she’s known to study and incorporate numerous magical techniques along with her wrestling combat practice. So really this woman is just a walking tank of ability. What she doesn’t destroy with outright magecraft, she runs fades with pure ferocity

That’s because
1. She really likes to indulge in harassing Rin because of the Edelfelt clan’s grievance towards the Tohsaka for essentially stealing their magecraft during the 3rd Fuyuki Grail War (in a nutshell, the Edelfelts sent a pair of twins as a joint Master, one of the twins fell in love with Rin’s grandfather, and married into the Tohsaka clan, passing along the Edelfelt gemstone magecraft to Tokiomi). Also, she realized that it’s really fun to mess with someone like Rin.
2. Shirou’s unwitting ability to make girls swoon for him causes her brain to largely shut down while he’s around. Also, she knows that Shirou and Rin are a couple, and her making advances on Shirou are an extension of her harassment of her.

It's just me or everyone in Fate knows Reigun?
The thing about luvia and rin is that they are distantly related. They have a shared ancestry thanks to a pair of twins that participated in the second or third holy grail war. One sister stayed in Japan while the other returned to Europe.
So their magecraft is similar in fashion associated with gems.

@@cotocoyerakson8195 Waver uses what’s called gandr. Luvia and Rin can also use gandr but what you see in the video is her usual gem magic.
Gandr is a fairly common mystery in the Mages Association IIRC. Rin and Luvia are just good at it because it’s heavily implied they share a common Edelfeldt ancestor in the third holy grail war and Gandr happens to originate where the Edelfeldts came from.

Based on her surname (Edelfelt), she’s probably of Swedish ancestry, like a lot of Finns are, due to being wonder by Sweden for so long.

Is this the Luvia after Unlimited Blade Work timeline?
Before Fate Stay Night events
It's not in the timelines of any of the Stay Night routes. This is a parallel timeline like how the Stay Night routes work. The 5th Grail War hasn't happened in this one. Think of it as a branch off after the events of Fate/Zero. So same Luvia, but different at the same time.
@@1vanDragoThis is not true. They actually mentioned in the anime that the Fifth Grail War had begun, so the show exists in the same timeline with Stay Night and Zero. The anime also follows Waver's story after the fourth war ended.
I think you're confusing this show with Apocrypha where Apocrypha is the timeline where the 4th and 5th Fuyuki War didn't happen.
@@abobakrhassan2731man there are a lot of direct sequels to fate stay night. Hollow ataraxia and strange fake come to mind. Later chapters of el melloi take place also after fate stay night.
