I learned this knot 20 years ago in confined space rescue training and been using it as my dropper loop ever since.

Thanks man I have had a hard time with a regular dropper loop and this is much faster to tie. I just gotta work on making smaller loops

How long do you recommend the later line should be? From your mine line.

Used this on the beach this weekend to catch some pompano! I've got a peg board at home for making triple drop rigs but needed something on the fly for a single drop for my lightest rod/reel setup.

Really liked your version of the dropper loop. Definitely going to try it. I tried the Alberto knot you showed a couple of weeks ago. I have always used uni to uni, but the Alberto knot seems to be a sleeker knot. Thanks for the great tips!! And Good Luck getting your last rod and reel back!!

Thanks Cliff! I have the rod pin pointed exactly where it should be. I’m going to dive down Saturday and try to get it back.
