Simply use you EIN buisness number instead of Social!! Same amount of numbers!!
US bank and American Express ask for SSN. They are hard pulls. I was approved for both. They don’t report to your personal credit but they do want your SSN and it will effect your score. Mine already dropped 2 points but I’m not complaining.

I just applied for the American Express blue business cash card and it asked me for my social security number when I used my ein, it said an ein can’t be used social was necessary to validate identification… there was still a hard pull… just as well as the capital one spark..

Most good business l business cards will hard pull your personal credit for a personal guarantee but they won’t report to your personal only your business credit .

Chase definitely checks your credit report and does not issue any cards if you have bad credit or do EIN only.

For the capital one spark cash for business, how do you apply without your SSN? The application is forcing me to input my social...and I had the card a few years ago, they did an inquiry and it does effect personal credit. How do we apply with JUST our EIN?

So the citibusiness platinum select is not an ein only card. Even after talking to customer service they told me it has never been an ein only card.
Sure no problem, Boss. Citi is a big bank, and you talked to ONE customer service rep over the phone. If that rep indeed told you the card was never an EIN-only card, then she or he is wrong. We've advised many, many and many clients of ours who have gotten this card - and continue to get this card - on an EIN basis.
The problem is, most people (including you, most likely) don't want to do the preparation and legwork needed to get an EIN-only card. They just want to go and apply for an "EIN-only card." You've watched our other video about how to apply for an EIN-only card. Everything our team knows about this matter is in that video. Thank you, and stay blessed.

@@viking.gothi.304 Thanks, Boss. Citi isn't that hard when it comes to EIN cards. They just want you to have a multiproduct relationship (MPR) with them before granting you that card. So besides checking and savings accounts, they love it when business owners hire them for services (payroll services, merchant processing, etc.).

so i have a question i tried to apply for both citi bank cards but in both applications they ask for my personal social security also and they will run mi credit anyways so whats the point of these cards for EIN ONLY if you are still required to use your personal credit

I applied online on the IRS site to get my EIN number now I had one a few years ago when I was a tax preparer but now I want one for my new business but something it never goes through him and it tells me to call the number I called the number but I haven’t been able to get through for the past year and a half so what do I do
If you can't reach anyone through that number, try applying manually. Form SS-4 www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/iss4.pdf It takes longer (4 weeks), but at least you know the application is in the IRS system.
Every single one of these applications asks for your ssn when applying and does not let you proceed if you don’t fill it out because it is a required field

This is outdated. Capital One and Chase DO REQUIRE SSN! I literally just applied for the Chase Ink card with my Banker at Chase Bank and we had the underwriter on the phone. For Capital One, you cannot submit app without SSN online.

The spark card asks for personal info and they want the SSN number. Is that something new or am i doing something wrong?
You're not doing anything wrong. We suppose you're applying for the Spark Classic card found here. applynow.capitalone.com/?productId=12855. They need the SSN for identification purposes. (If you hover around the 'i' next to the SSN field, you'd see that Capital One says: " Federal law requires us to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. As a result, your Social Security Number is required and used for identification purposes."
Hopefully, you have a legal business structure separate from your personal affairs, and that you provide all your business's informaiton in the first part of the application, as requested.
Please note that the Spark Card - as all other cards listed in the video - will not rely on your EIN only if your business is a sole proprietorship. You must have an LLC, C corp, S corp. for the EIN-only feature to work, in other words, for Capital One (or any card issuer) to focus more on the EIN and less on your SSN.

I went to chase site for the Ink card and it asks for SS#. I thought it was supposed to be EIN only. Can you assist?
Maurice, thanks for the question. There's a specific way to apply for an EIN-only card. If you just go on the website to check out the link, of course you'd see a SSN box out there. I think you need to show us proof that you can get these cards with just a EIN. 8 out of 10 of these cards requires a SSN and not just for verification purposes. Your information is either incorrect or outdated.

Not at all. As you certainly know, "No PG" means "No Personal Guarantee." The thing is, most EIN-loans are also 'no doc loans,' meaning you need to show more about the business's performance, no matter your credit. If the company, say, has excellent credit but its financial performance is poor, you'd find it harder to get EIN-only financing.
I don't know what information is man is telling you but of course you have to have a business you need a EIN number and a duns number an LLC that's why it's called business credit

These aren’t EIN only cards. Marriot and all of the Citi cards ask for your social security number and the gas cards can only be used at gas stations. The store cards can only be used at the stores

No impact on your personal credit if you apply right and make sure it's set up as an EIN-only card. The issuer will, right from the start, report your business's info to D&B, Experian, Equifax, LexisNexis and other SBFE agencies. Thanks

Costco and AA cards will not work if I don't add my SSN.
That's strange...When we tested those two cards, we never had that problem.
- To apply for the Costco Anywhere Visa® Business Card by Citi you must have a current Costco membership in your company's name. Once you do, you can easily apply for the card without your SSN. No need to enter your name or social, unless you indicate that you're a company representative. Make sure, though, as we said in the video, that you apply as an incorporated business (single-member LLC, for example), and not as a sole proprietorship. (More information on the Costco card application can be found here: www.citi.com/credit-cards/citi-costco-anywhere-visa-business-credit-card. It said exactly what we said in the video.)
- For the CitiBusiness AAdvantage card, again, we didn't have that problem when testing the card. And we just talked to a Citi Cards representative who reiterated the same thing: You don't need your name or SSN when applying. @Reggie Ross Hi Reggie, did you apply as a business with EIN or as a sole proprietorship? That could be one reason. As we said in the video, you need to have a legal business that's a separate entity from your personal affairs. Otherwise, the card issuer would mingle your personal and business 'identities' - and consequently do a hard pull on your personal credit. According to our conversation with Citi representatives, the Costco Business Visa card is for businesses only and relies on EIN and business data. If they ask for SSN, it could only be for identification purposes. (They even said so on the card's application website www.citi.com/credit-cards/citi-costco-anywhere-visa-business-credit-card)

Please don't confuse viewers with random, approximate utterances based on personal experience, hearsay or anecdotes. All information in this video was double-checked and corroborated with the credit card issuers. Unless you have proven, research-based facts, it's better not to state something that could only leave viewers confused. (This video has a watch time of 85%, and many, many viewers are learning from it and finding value from it.
Again, you're TOTALLY wrong. Here's why. Capital One does indeed allow application without SSN. To prove this to you, go, for example, to the SPARK CLASSIC application page on Capital One's website (applynow.capitalone.com/?productId=12855). You'll see, on the page, that the main information asked is about the business, including the business EIN, not the individual business owner. The SSN information is asked as an FYI only - an ancillary piece of information that Capital One, as it says itself on the website, uses for identification purposes, not credit purposes. Our stance about Capital One also applies to Amex and Chase.
We'd be happy to review your findings, if you have some, and see where we differ. But they must be fact-based comments, not random utterances. (Everyone can do those on a TH-cam channel wall.)

I mean you can get a CC from Tomo without even a credit check or securing it with a cash deposit. Cards are changing. Sure there’s some instances where balances aren’t paid, but the amount these companies are making off a swipe fee far outweighs this as a whole. Does your D&B business info need to be the same info you use to apply for any of these credit cards?
Yes. This is because the whole credit card application will focus on your business, rather than on your personal info. So there's gotta be consistency between your business registered address, the info in D&B (as well as SBFE, Equifax and Experian), and the info on your 1065 or 1120 (S/C) return. 1) First, your point about 'major credit card' is inaccurate. 'Major credit cards' (as you call them) are starting to embrace the bandwagon of fintech business credit issuance, and approving business credit cards without following the traditional pattern of PG or collateral. Take Amex's
Corporate Program for Startups, for example. Amex, you'd agree, is a 'major' credit card issuer.
2) Second - whether or not banks are tightening their risk spectra in terms of business credit card approval (something we haven't seen in our research yet) - you can still qualify for an EIN-only card by going to a local branch, sitting down with a rep, and having a solid application package replete with everything from business plan to cash flow projections. As a banker, you certainly understand that the credit card issuer's primary concerns are borrower liquidity and default risk. If a business borrower is able to properly allay the lender's fears, he/she will get an EIN-only card. The thing is, the vast majority of solopreneurs and small-business owners don't know these things.
3) Third - it's way, way, way easier to get EIN-only business credit cards approved at major credit unions like Navy Federal, Boeing CU and Consumers Credit CU.
Bottom line: We're trying to educate viewers on a large constellation of avenues whereby they can get EIN-only business credit cards. And we're not just focusing on 'major banks.' Fintech companies have been proving already the major disruption happening in the industry, so we're focusing on the whole spectrum of business credit cards, not just those issued by 'major banks.'

How soon can I apply for a business card after getting my llc and EIN?
6 months sounds reasonable (assuming, you mean your business is brand new.) For a startup, you need give time to open a business checking and a business secured card (as a first step), write up a compelling business plan (filled with realistic but optimistic projection data) and then run your business for 6-9 months before going the EIN route. If you do it before that, you might risk having your personal, instead of the business, credit hard-pulled. It's always better, whenever possible, to apply at the bank/credit union where you personally bank because they know you already. Good luck, and God bless.
