      It was worse in every way, unless you're talking about ratings or how much Port won by.

      Wasn't last year a 70 point smashing? This game was close for 2 and a half quarters.

    They should havr tried the U.S like the NRL are doing. A much more suitable market.

    Why not give free tickets and umbrellas and aussie pies to local families to fill the seats? Very disappointing crowd.

    So if all these people think that Higgins goal was a “throw” how is that last goal not a throw to everyone as well?

    • @Layupline23
      @Layupline23 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      because it wasn't a throw it was the ball drop and higgins threw the ball up to himself

    It is clear that this game is nothing more than a cash cow to boost budget bottom lines.

    Expanding the sport in different countries is just gonna destroy the sport.

      Sending AFL teams there, yeah, possibly, that crowd in a city of 24 million people, would be like having 500 turn up at Metricon Stadium to see these teams play.
      All the same, no harm in setting up an Asian Australian Football League, Shanghai, Hanoi, Bangkok, HCMC, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Manila, eight starter teams...part expats, part local, part recently retired AFL footballers...on a similar time zone, could be a summer (in Australia) TV sport.

      Oh yeah? Like how many Aussies pay for American sports subscriptions? Or how soccer is played all over the world? This comment makes no sense.

      The game is already being played in an amateur level in other countries.

    more westerners there than chinese from the look of it.Is it worth it?

    • @bundyliciousrex649
      @bundyliciousrex649 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dan Hay people travel, and westerners do live in China.
      Can’t grow the game to a crowd of devoted Chinese fans immediately. These things take time.

      @@bundyliciousrex649It failed massively. They should have tried America like the NRL are doing.

    F*** I hate that drab dreary song 0:27. Doesn't say anything for the excite of the team.
