Today when I was opening my Emberton, I was like… Small shadow on box(check)..no sticker on box(check)… round tapes( check) … spiral pattern (check)…qr code(check)…boot audio(check)… 30 grills check…led lights check…hell yea… it’s a sweet rock n role speaker. Something about it I can’t really point out what is it… basically audio sounds like there is no wall or fabric between speakers and u. Quite lively and love the design. Sounds best in vol 60-80. And play it for few hours , it gets better. Not for loudness or party but listening to it feels like adding a background score to ambiance.

I'm using the Emberton whilst watching this video. It's really good and battery life is amazing. I was a little apprehensive about the price until I saw it had 20 hrs playback whilst other brands are closer to 12hrs on a full charge. I'm currently using it as a PC speaker on my desk.
The largest online shopping company in Korea is selling this Emberton at less than 150usd. It says the product will be shipped from China… Many reviews said the products are genuine but some said they’re fake and I choose to believe the latter! After watching your video I’ve decided to just order from Marshall official store cause that’ll save me from all the drama 🙈🙈 thank you for your thorough explanation! Happy Viking!!

I think I purchased a real one. Marshall said Amazon was an authorized retailer and not to purchase from marketplace sellers but I was still not delighted with the quality of the sound. Sent it back. Not a $271 speaker.

I bought the Emberton online and am waiting for it to arrive, let's hope for the best! I already have the Stockwell II that I bought at the Dubai Mall and it's beautiful and the sound is amazing! The battery lasts for weeks since I use it a little everyday...
Just letting you know that I did get a fake one! I was surprised about the build quality, it's pretty good for a fake item. The one I got fixed the charging bug, and the charging animation was correct. However, its turn-on animation was still wrong and other things matched what you said. Real ones are all the same, but the fake ones can be different.
The person I bought from was also a victim, I was lucky enough to get my money back. I'm getting a Bose Flex with this money. No more Marshall for me...this was a completely nightmare.

crazy I just bought two from a sale, and everything that was mentioned her for the fake one checked all the boxes with mine, the only difference is my battery drains faster, then my phone speaker is just as loud as the fake one and the back speaker has no sounds. BTW the fake ones updated the box, so mine has the shadows correct, even the back side tape of the box. The button was the same for the fake and real. The charger has a QR code on it. It's scary how this counterfeit companies are improving to fool us. Thanks brother! 🤘🤘

I've bought mine from an authorized retailer and my silica gel is "fake" as well. The other blogger had the darker one with his fake Emberton, so you most likely mixed them up.
Hey! Thank you so much for this video. Recently bought my Emberton in a famous online shop here in the Philippines. I really don't know if it's real or fake. I have doubts since there are so many fake Marshall speakers being sold here in the Philippines. I have also messaged the Marshall Support and they cannot say if it's genuine. They said that there are many counterfeit products in the marketplace right now and, in many cases, it is almost impossible to say if the product is genuine by looking at a photo or a serial number. Counterfeiters go to great lengths to make their products look like genuine products. They apply serial numbers to the products that copy genuine Marshall products' serial numbers, and their packaging is extremely close in appearance. However, they do not meet the high-performance standards found in genuine Marshall products. In most cases, there's a need to disassemble a product and do a listening test to know if it’s authentic or not. With the high number of duplicated serial numbers, a serial number check is not a reliable means of confirming that your product is authentic. As for my Emberton, everything that you said in this video is being meet. It lasts 20 hours. 😅 Anyway, thanks again.

I found the one that possibly fake in one of the biggest Websites. And was about to buy it as they did a big discount. the web site says Marshall Official but the seller name is totally different. Thank you for your channel to let us know the fake is in the market !!
I'm glad I got a real one purchased it from a pawn shop for $60 bucks it was making a crackling sound from the speaker but I fixed it by taking the protective cover off and tightened all the screws problem fixed I believe that's why they pwwned it

I am glad the video helped. But I am sure there might be a much high quality copy too. I think the best is to get it from the official dealer or check the barcode which is in the bottom of the box or bottom of the speaker.

Bro I think you unintentionally exchanged the fake and real silica gel. Because many that commented here said that their speakers are real but only the gel is not, based on your video. And that happened to me too. Mine is genuine (everything checked based on your video) and only the gel is "fake" (again based on your video).

Sorry to hear that. Well just to make sure, you should contact Marshall support and send them the photo of the barcode in the bottom of the box. It may take a week for them to get back to you but it is the best way to check it. Thanks for your comment. Well since my video went out I am sure they have upgraded their products so might be even harder to tell. What you can do to make sure is send a photo of the QR code on the bottom of the box or the QR code on the bottom under the rubber case to Marshall so they can check it for you. Sorry to hear that bro. Yeah these days it is so hard to check since the fakes are so good. To be honest the speaker is not bad too but if you compare with the real ones it is a big difference. Make sure you take a photo of the barcode on the box or if you remove the rubber cover of the speaker off and there is a barcode as well so take a photo of that and check with Marshall. It will take few days for them to get back to you and another week to get back regarding the answer. Hope you got the right one though. Glad that this videos helped. the sound cloth on the back is way different too. The legit one uses that microphone foam. the fake one looks like the liner under dining chair pads.

crazy I just bought two from a sale, and everything that was mentioned her for the fake one checked all the boxes with mine, the only difference is my battery drains faster, then my phone speaker is just as loud as the fake one and the back speaker has no sounds.
BTW the fake ones updated the box, so mine has the shadows correct, even the back side tape of the box. The button was the same for the fake and real. The charger has a QR code on it.
It's scary how this counterfeit companies are improving to fool us.

I've bought mine from an authorized retailer and my silica gel is "fake" as well. The other blogger had the darker one with his fake Emberton, so you most likely mixed them up.

Recently bought my Emberton in a famous online shop here in the Philippines.
I really don't know if it's real or fake. I have doubts since there are so many fake Marshall speakers
being sold here in the Philippines.
I have also messaged the Marshall Support and they cannot say if it's genuine.
They said that there are many counterfeit products in the marketplace right now and, in many cases,
it is almost impossible to say if the product is genuine by looking at a photo or a serial number.
Counterfeiters go to great lengths to make their products look like genuine products.
They apply serial numbers to the products that copy genuine Marshall products' serial numbers, and their packaging
is extremely close in appearance.
However, they do not meet the high-performance standards found in genuine Marshall products. In most cases,
there's a need to disassemble a product and do a listening test to know if it’s authentic or not.
With the high number of duplicated serial numbers, a serial number check is not a reliable means of
confirming that your product is authentic.
As for my Emberton, everything that you said in this video is being meet.
It lasts 20 hours. 😅

You might be right! The size of the real one has a slightly bigger logo. Good catch!
I'm glad I got a real one purchased it from a pawn shop for $60 bucks it was making a crackling sound from the speaker but I fixed it by taking the protective cover off and tightened all the screws problem fixed I believe that's why they pwwned it

Bro I think you unintentionally exchanged the fake and real silica gel. Because many that commented here said that their speakers are real but only the gel is not, based on your video. And that happened to me too. Mine is genuine (everything checked based on your video) and only the gel is "fake" (again based on your video).

I've just bought Marshall Emberton and found your video to compare real and fake. This video can help me so much. I got the FAKE one like you. When I checked the box, it's same as real but speaker's FAKE. I hope the shop will be responsible and give the real one or refund to me.
Sorry to hear that. Well just to make sure, you should contact Marshall support and send them the photo of the barcode in the bottom of the box. It may take a week for them to get back to you but it is the best way to check it. Meanwhile you may want to talk to your seller if they are willing for a refund if it was fake product.

What you can do to make sure is send a photo of the QR code on the bottom of the box or the QR code on the bottom under the rubber case to Marshall so they can check it for you. I just bought one, the box just like u describe the fake one not the circle tape and the shadow are wider, but the cable got qr code and the sound quality okei, so i dont know fake or not, send email to Marshall they havent reply me yet, really disappointed with seller who sell counterfeit products online that same price as the original product
Sorry to hear that bro. Yeah these days it is so hard to check since the fakes are so good. To be honest the speaker is not bad too but if you compare with the real ones it is a big difference. Make sure you take a photo of the barcode on the box or if you remove the rubber cover of the speaker off and there is a barcode as well so take a photo of that and check with Marshall. It will take few days for them to get back to you and another week to get back regarding the answer. Hope you got the right one though. Glad that this videos helped. The fake one sounds hideous. Without knowing it was fake I would have returned it based on sound quality alone. I definitely got the real deal because the sound is amazing. Blows away my Bose bluetooth speaker.
