I'm a introvert. I love the comfort and privacy of home. But my family thinks is weird and FORCE unwanted fake interactions. I hate it. Keep up the great work. Everybody cant be outside at the same time, that why we have so much traffic. Back off people. : )

I've looked into transcription and customer service type jobs, data entry from home, but a lot of them are VERY LOW PAYING and/or less than p/t and won't support people who have student loans and have mortgages, car loans, etc. I'm an introvert and being bullied at every job because I'm reserved is depressing! You only fit in if you are gossipy and talkative!! Sick of it.
Yes I understand completely. You should try spreading your self out. Dont think you have to work for one company. You can do multiple companies to make up for the pay. And if you are good typer, you can also look into being a VA (Virtual Assistant) and work for various businesses and companies. You can offer typing services in a wide range of areas...such as charge people to type papers and documents. You can literally build your own business as an established and experienced typist.
Yum Yum Kitty! I understand! That is exactly what happened to me (being bullied) in the workforce! It is true that you must love gossip or be talkative to fit in. I was bullied and given a hard time with other accusations.

I'm sorry you were bullied. That's just sad. You'd think people in the workplace would be more mature, but it's like being in MS/HS all over again. :c The most I had to deal with at my workplace was always being passed up for promotions for people who were ass kissers and yeah, gossipy and talkative, even though I was a better associate.

Rental properties are awesome for introverts. I make $7k per month from my rentals and only have to occasionally deal with my renters. It's great. I purchase older homes and usually just spend my time renovating by myself.

Most people are new investors with limited capital so the focus is rental properties for less than $30k. Once you learn how to analyze expected return from rentals you will be set

I'm SO happy you made this video. I'm also an introvert, and I have severe social anxiety--so finding a job is extremely hard. Especially, when it comes to interviewing because companies want extroverted employees, with a great personality--and I just don't have that. I scored a lot of interviews, but always fell short right when it came to that part. I've started to looking into working remotely, but it's difficult to even do that when majority of those jobs want you to take calls. /:

Although I am currently employed, I've been going on interviewing for higher paying jobs and I believe that is also where I'm falling short. I agree with you on companies wanting extroverted employees, but missing out on some great introverted ones. You would think in 2018 that us (as a society) would be past this "choosing employees mostly based on interviews" phase.

What an awesome idea to post this type of video! My 15 year old daughter has Selective Mutism but wants to get a job soon. The anxiety she faces from just trying to get through a school day is extremely overwhelming..Nice to bring to mind all the job opportunities available forn those that have a struggle within. I love being introverted and quiet. I hate that I have to pretend to be someone i’m not- for an interview or job just to make a living. it’s so exhausting. for the time being where i work has a lot of loud machines and everyone wears earplugs or listen to their music with earbuds so I don’t stand out as much for keeping to myself so I guess it’s okay. I would love to work somewhere peaceful and not all the machines etc.
I love working by myself. My work place is growing quickly and I am in the middle of it all and people asking me questions and having issues! Can hardly stand it anymore! Thanks young lady.

I like the fact of not being in the office with all the gossip and other dumb issues but I like to be around people too....I need something at home asap making full time ...so I can leave my present fulltime job away from home now. Can you provide info on finishing up a degree in Graphic Design...I started but didn't finish due to loans.
You can do freelance graphic design. If you did some work during college and still have collection (portfolio) you can market yourself to do various projects for others. I find alot of great graphic designers on fiverr.com. Selling their services! Also freelancer.com and upwork.com are some sites you could explore.

for years I've been suffering with Severe social Phobia and I wish I had came across you way sooner... as I also been suffering because no matter what job I had to get I had to be around people... It's been very painful...
Sounds like you suffer from social anxiety. No matter what type of job you do, you will have to interact with people on some level. These jobs just minimize the amount of people you have to deal with, puts you in more control and eliminate face to face interactions. You can work from home and do this. But if yours is severe, you should try some methods to over come those fears or get to the root cause of those fears.
I noticed you mentioned "shy". A lot of introverts aren't shy, as i'm sure you know! just wanted to point out that we're outgoing but prefer more valuable content in our conversations rather than small talk- and we're super comfortable with silence :)
You said alot of introverts arent shy. but there are a good amount that are. so my statement remains relevant. Shy also means being reserved. I am an introvert myself so I know.

I'm an introvert too and I am painfully awkward and I suffer from severe anxiety when talking to people. I have been trying to fulfill my family's hope of applying jobs and taking courses that is against my nature. I have been forcing myself to better my communication skills with people but it didn't work...I am feeling bitter with myself. I don't know what I'm supposed to do and what kind of job should I do. I wanted to help people but not talking.
During my troubled times with this job at the City of Dallas my worst moments youre turning out to be my BEST FRIEND guiding me and instructing and encouraging and offering all your creative money making ideas. I love you for that. You make me feel like theres hope.

Thank you melecia, it has been a very hard journey for me and just this past year I have realized why in knowing who I am as an introvert who has been abused in my family and certain friends and coworkers who have done harm to me. Thank you for your insights and info on what kind of work would be good in that I can do myself in a much better atmosphere of relinquishing the useless mess I have been through because of how people perceive us as they do, I appreciate you so much for the help!

I just want a job wherein I dont have to face the clients and forced to put on a smile or risk getting complained. Or those jobs wherein we have to please and apologise to the client either via phone call or face to face conversation. I have no problem with talking to bosses or co workers unlike the other comments here. At least most of the boss are reasonable and you dont need to give a smile to coworkers if you dont feel like to. But its damn hard to find. Hopefully we all find what we are looking for.

Introverted the majority of the time, mostly just dealing with people because I have to in life, would prefer to work alone....
for me, I just can't stand workplace drama. i got into the wrong field for 10 years and got pushed out of about 7 work places. I just couldn't fight it. I'm exhausted now and have health problems from the stress and depression. I'm in the middle of figuring out what to do now

Hi, I really dont consider TH-cam as a job but an enjoyable hobby. I am a day care provider. Yes online transcription jobs are low, they are best for additional side income. You can work more than one. or you can advertise yourself as an independent freelance typist and charge fee for your services.
