The riceburner slang was the original definition and spawned from automotive xenophobia in America against the newer Japanese and Korean imports from the 70s-90s. It was subsequently shortened to "ricer" to refer to someone who drove something definitively eastern Asian. The acronym was applied to it later, and thankfully so, as people started to use the racially charged definition less
I was about to say. You can call it a non racist term all you want, it's racist. Like POG in the military. People try to say it stands for permanently on the ground but it's just a shortened version of pogue, a homophobic slur

Don't listen to these fools. Start by looking at your car [or your father's if you don't own one, or your (realistic, something you could buy, not a Ferrari Roma) dream car if you don't have any cars in the family]. My father owns a Mk5 Golf so I started from there. When I got my license, I wanted to become a good driver so I started looking at our car, tried to study it so I can drive it better. I studied its specs, pros and cons, what kind of engine/transmission etc it has, reviews on the internet and as much information about it as I could find. Then I started looking at its variations (GTI, R etc), other VW models, its competition, how it compares to other categories (an R vs an M3 for example) and a lot of other stuff. Don't start with something completely strange and irrelevant to you (Japanese Tuning or Muscle Cars if you own a FIAT Panda).
I always thought a "hooptie" was not only a falling apart beater, but one that has cheap flashy aftermarket accessories like spinning hubcaps, ridiculous sound system, excessive tint, etc
1:20 I encountered someone like this on car throttle. They were saying that the NSX was riced from factory simply because it's a Honda, which is a Japanese company. I literally couldn't believe what I was reading, I just ended up deleting all my replies and leaving the situation cause I knew he was to fking far gone
Well you see this is because it was a offspring of the heavier, larger but also usually more powerful, muscle car, and the segment was started by the mustang in 1965, and horse car sounds.. Bad, pony car sounds good, also reflecting the initial positioning as a "entry level" options to muscle cars. But now of course pony cars are all thats left (challenger borderline musclecar)
if i rememebr right, the plymouth barracuda was technically the first pony car, as it beat the mustang to market. however, the Mustang took off in popularity, hence the term pony car. Had the barracuda been more successful, it may have been known as the fish car :P
When I was young...I loved cars. My friend used to bring magazines to the school and I would watch the cars for hours. I really didn't memorize names....but a Rolls Royce was love at first sight...and then life happened. I am trying to get back to learning cars.
You forgot 'tribute car'. This is where a person has a base model vehicle, and adds parts made by an OEM and making that car now look and sometimes perform like an upgraded trim package. This is often done in the vintage and classic car arena, like taking a 1969 Dodge Charger and adding all of the 1969 Dodge Daytona parts to it. I have also seen this done on a few Asian imports as well.
I own a Mitsubishi Galant (V6 life baby)and I am Asian, one guy told me my car was junk and then I shot some anti-lag is his face,he doesn't wanna see me anymore, serves him right.
I really appreciate your attitude towards non-car people at car meets and recommending your followers to do the same. I am a "non-car" person and have been hesitant to go to car meets because I'm worried I'll be made fun of but this made me feel better.

Lol, blinker fluid. I'm pretty sure BMWs need them.... Though actually it is a joke, no car needs blinker fliud. It's a part of a joke that BMW drivers don't use their turn signals, which is dumb because I find Toyota drivers to be way worse than BMW ones. Actually BMW drivers are usually good.
I'm proud of myself for knowing most of these. Unfortunately, I can't afford to actually buy and maintain a car, so I'm gonna have to wait until I have some real income and a place to put the damn thing before I go out and buy one. I'd like to get an old corolla or accord and completely replace the powertrain with an LS or something though.
Got this video in my recommendations. Must be from my recent enthusiasm with the need for speed series. Started playing the newer games and got a chance to work with customizing the cars but apart from increasing stats in game like any rpg and also customizing the look of my cars, I got no idea what I am doing with my cars. I am a very casual player but enjoy the thrill of racing. Heck, starting to enjoy driving my own car around during the quarantine from home to work and back. Hopefully I might start learning more about cars and start understanding what I am doing with them.
I just got a car-related job and suddenly remembered that I have no clue about cars, and I feel like your video has put me on the right path. Gonna watch the ones about normies to see where I'm at XD
QuakeGamer632 it must not have to be as sideways as you see them in gaskings videos. It could be just a few degrees negative camber for the car to look good and it's good for driving in curves, because of better stability. Sorry if my englisch is bad, i am not a native speaker:)

That is donks
Where's the miata?
Alex Mason 10:30 in the background.
Alex Mason who cares?
The Poor Gamer Thanks for finding the miata, you've won the bladed angel award for miata hunting :v
DAMNIT, Y'ALL TOO GOOD! With how much everyone hates me talking about Kit cars, I thought FOR SURE, no one would catch that :P
Bladed Angel IT has been found!!!
1:20 I encountered someone like this on car throttle. They were saying that the NSX was riced from factory simply because it's a Honda, which is a Japanese company. I literally couldn't believe what I was reading, I just ended up deleting all my replies and leaving the situation cause I knew he was to fking far gone
well everyone knows ayrton senna was a gopnik
Tyler Haley that pretty much confirms that the guy likes ricers, then.
but all the enthusiasts agree that the new NSX is meh at best
as much as i hate the current generation of porsches i would take a loaded 991 turbo S over the new NSX
I never understood why they're called pony cars. like I get why but could we have picked a worse name than pony cars?
Pany cars
@@cpufreak101 Kind of like the Flicier (flicer? Idk how to say) brothers and Walt Disney in animation.
I'm overwhelmed, u jumped straight into the action while i don't even know the slightest about normal cars 😂😂
Neither do I, do you want to learn about them with me?
Thanks for this video! A bunch of my friends are super obsessed with cars, I honestly didn't understand the appeal till I actually bought my own!
Not all muscle cars are v8s either. The Buick regal GNX
Yeah, the 6cyl Commodores can also be counted as muscle
Aussie e49 charger, inline 6 with 302 hp
He never said all muscle cars a v8s there are v6 mustangs and they are still muscle cars
It was faster than allot of V8 muscle cars
Yeah finally someone agrees that muscle cars aren't only american
Try explaining this to even some guys who are into cars
Dhrupad Oza Is Jensen Interceptor a Muscle car?
Rook well if I'm not wrong that a GT car I.e grand touring car
Yeah, it can be a right pain in the ass sometimes. If a Holden Torana isn't a muscle car, then what the fuck IS it?
Dhrupad Oza Yes, they're not only american, but it doesn't feel right to call something else than american, a "muscle car"...
Kev27RS Then as I said, what would you call a Holden Torana A9X?
I hope that u wont forget about KANSEI DORIFTO in second part
Noted
Noo dont say that
When I was young...I loved cars.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Galant.. Vr4?
i always get confused when someone asks is that car NA, because as a hardcore gamer it always meant North America- generally as an insult
Basuo or miata NA
BEST CLOUD MAIN NA
Even as a car guy my first thought at NA is Non-Applicable so I'm not exactly better off
"ossie" come on man.... its OZZIE
Fukin Auzzie get your English right
It’s AUSSIES
Its OZZY
Nope, it’s Ozzy Osbourne
Fuckin; not fukin (pronounced foo-kin)
Thank you so much! Really wanna learn more about cars, since I know absolutely nothing 😂
teachers : you should watch useful videos on TH-cam to learn
me: i call this actual useful content
About sleepers, idc how many doors it has, a cts v wagon and rs6 and the like aren't sleepers tbh. Everyone who is into cars knows those are fast.
Even people who aren’t really into cars could see an Audi RS6 is not a slow car, because well it’s an Audi and it just looks fast haha
Massive amount of respect for the shout out to Australia and gotta love the torana
miata is always the answer bro ... miata is a muscle pony riced tuner sleeper fart canny hoopie
Saksham Nanda and a lifted 4x4 awd twin turbocharged NA beater too!
Saksham Nanda Miata is not a muscle car bro. It’s like a Jeep. The manufacturer expected u to make a beast or shitbox.

Answer
Matt O honesty, I hate Miatas there overrated
True
Man I love going to Mexico every other week then.
I really appreciate your attitude towards non-car people at car meets and recommending your followers to do the same. I am a "non-car" person and have been hesitant to go to car meets because I'm worried I'll be made fun of but this made me feel better.
EIGHT-UH SIX-UH (noun)-
You are probably a tofu delivery guy who is secretly a drift king!!

I never even found the term ricer offensive, haven't heard of a person saying its offensive
Spent thirty seconds not listening to you talking cause i thought the music sounded familiar and then i checked the video notes and saw it was from bleach. god level shit
Thanks. Now I can actually have a conversation with my father.
Are sleepers the opposite of ricers?
NO. 1 Yes, in all definitions.
NO. 1 yea obviously
Oh god you should know that
The Recipe Tuners are Ricers and Sleepers combined
Yes, ricers are all show and no go, and sleepers are no show and all go.
3:53 *don't give the cops an idea*
NA stands for North America. You own a mustang.
The rant in the beginning was necessary, thank you!
>Playing Forza Horizon 5 while going through this series as background noise
>Reach this video
>Hear the "Going to Mexico" entry
Start laughing my ass off cause I just finished a Street Scene championship during the Car Wrap and Brakes videos.
Legit didn't expect that one. Guess I've been virtually going to Mexico both figuratively and literally.
On behalf of the Mexican community, thanks for the Ricer clarification. You’re invited to the posada, holmes.
Bro didn't you hear what he said? He's already going to Mexico, holmes! Let's just wait for him, guey
Prius Killer wow really is it a joke?
i don't use my turn signals because i'm doing 160kmh on side streets wigger
I've personally stereotyped Audis and literally any minivan as the cars I never see using turn signals
Prius Killer calling my mom bad.. 😖😂
Yo Tyler at Hoovies Garage dude. That’s amazing. And he’s completely insane, he bought a used Rolls Royce. Because the Bentley just went great.
I found it kinda hard to listen once I realized you had a bleach opening in the background. To much of a bop
Im gonna give my girlfriend an sti tomorrow
luis *sister
Laurenz Baumgartner oh wow lmfao
luis
She's a lucky girl
Can you give me an sti too
Std*
This was done somewhere in mexico
Got this video in my recommendations. Must be from my recent enthusiasm with the need for speed series. Started playing the newer games and got a chance to work with customizing the cars but apart from increasing stats in game like any rpg and also customizing the look of my cars, I got no idea what I am doing with my cars. I am a very casual player but enjoy the thrill of racing. Heck, starting to enjoy driving my own car around during the quarantine from home to work and back. Hopefully I might start learning more about cars and start understanding what I am doing with them.
She's regular red 2019 dodge challenger. "NeiCe HeLlCaT"
The blinker fluid thing is also used in the army
A classmate said to me once “how big does a car have to be to put a 1jz and a 2jz to make a 3jz? cause 1+2=3”
In Germany we use transmission-sand and piston-back-draw-spring
To troll non - car people :D
Wie sagt man "piston-back-draw-spring"?
im gonna send this to my friend who boasts about his kia
Dont forget about the 'hybrids' (mix between subcultures) Dodge Viper=muscle+supercars
Holden maloo/el camino=sport car+pickup truck
Ect
I just got a car-related job and suddenly remembered that I have no clue about cars, and I feel like your video has put me on the right path. Gonna watch the ones about normies to see where I'm at XD
00:54 NOOOOO AE86 NOOOO
Max200012 we must find the car and bring it back to its true form!!!
drift fd and burn whoever riced it

Eurobeat didn't intensify. Rice did though. Oh, it it isn't an AE86, it's an AE88!
Alex_the_Subarist still an 86
Having the Audi RS6 being called a sleeper is the most painful thing I've heard this year :""")
10:28 *YEET* THERE'S THE MIATA!
TEEMODO hahaha
._.
Honestly I have a massive respect for sleeper car drivers, anyone else?
Im trying to get into cars for my dad since we dont share much in common so yea that why im here
Stance would be good word for those non-car guys to know:)
Stance: Destroying the performance of your car to have sideways wheels.
QuakeGamer632 it must not have to be as sideways as you see them in gaskings videos. It could be just a few degrees negative camber for the car to look good and it's good for driving in curves, because of better stability.
Sorry if my englisch is bad, i am not a native speaker:)
Ok is there a guide to this guide
Yay someone remembered us Australians and our holdens
Ricer: A car that exhibits traits that would classify it as RICE (Racing Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement)
NA: Naturally Aspirated Used to describe an engine that doesn't rely on Forced Induction.
Going to Mexico: Saying you are going to go street racing
Muscle: Pony cars shaped like squares and rectangles
Tuner: A car that features substantial amounts of tuning, mostly with a performance emphasis, but styling is also modified.
Sleeper: Has a standard exterior appearance but has surprising performance.
Blinker Fluid: A fictional car product used to confuse non-car enthusiasts.
Muffler Bearings: Same as Blinker Fluid
Fart Can: Any muffler with a wider exhaust port that allows for a louder sound. Typically found on cars owned by drivers who can't afford a real street-racing car but want to act like they have one. (It sucks)
4 Banger: Used to describe a 4-cylinder car
Hoonigan: A rude or aggressive driver who drives dangerously. A hoonigan typically does drifting, burnouts, drag racing, etc.
Hooptie: A car in horrible condition... Like literally falling apart
Restomod: A classic car that has modern features, such as a more reliable engine, better interior equipment, and other enhanced components. A balance between classic and modern.
Donor Car: A car that serves the purpose of providing parts for a project
Kit Car: A car that must be assembled when purchased. The company doesn't rely on a factory for assembly. They don't often include a powertrain
Replica Car: An unofficial copy replicating an original model.
Me: hears tuners
Also me: WE GOT OURSELVES A SLEEPER
