Coming back to this just to tell you guys that this series is what got me into V5. I am STying a table set in my hometown (Rio) in 2013, and we're having a blast! This would not have happened without this show. Thank you, thank you, thank you A LOT.
My quest to watch all Ross Bryant TTRPG AP content has finally brought me to the beginning of this magnum opus. I'm stoked!! Edit: And I'm back a month later, at the end of 2023 to say WHEW what a ride!! And it was worth every second! To anyone who might be reading this comment: Watch this show!!!
Story Teller: "You arrive at a building that looks like a 60 story tall mausoleum." Me, a Pittsburgher: "Is this the US Steel building?" Story Teller: "This is the US Steel building." Never heard it described better! lol
Since the players don't know the lore of VtM they approach the game with genuine naïveté which gives genuine reactions to the strange situations of Vampire. I can't imagine how hard it is to be the Storyteller with this much player agency.
Everyone did a great job of really becoming their characters. Seeing them mime and emote along with their actions and dialogue further added to the immersion.
@@codymorley5535 LA By Night? I know that it is a bit railroady, but I don't think it's all railroad. Also I think it's OK for it to be like that because the different characters are so good and everything seems so seemless
The major difference for LA By Night is that Jason had a very particular route he wanted to take the story, as the point of /that/ specific Vampire story was to be 1. Canon in World of Darkness 2. For the characters to be the most "on par" representations of the Clans Jason did script it a little bit, but it was mostly just very rough outlines that the players agreed to, they still had agency, LABN was 100% more "For the audience" than it was for the players. I still love LABN though
I always told people who asked about the difference between our universe and the universe of white wolf that its magic that makes the difference, but it's so rare that very few have seen or experienced it that all the Kine notice is a darker world...metaphysically darker...but most people there are as oblivious as here...
I have to say, I rolled my eyes a little at "yet another brand new baby Kindred group scrambling to learn about the sects" premise but this was AMAZINGLY done, the setup of ping-ponging the coterie between the two sects in a very realistic, dynamic way to show off the good and the bad of both sides and giving the freedom of choice to the players was excellently executed. The ST is great at portraying very different personality types. Also every player and PC is fantastic to listen to, which is such a breath of fresh air. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this goes!
Awesome!!! Can't wait to see how this all unfolds. Also that the players have never played the game before and don't know anything about VtM helped the story tremendously. GJ.
After following the hijinks of the Tin Whistles for 7 episodes (and the latest GCN: NGWD? ep), I stumbled in here to enjoy more of Jared, Ross and VtM ... And end up realizing that Ross Bryant plays one of my favorite recurring characters on Hello from the Magic Tavern--Crispix Versin Generix (1/13th of the Soul Walker). Hat off.

Love the cast so much. Knew a couple of them beforehand. But just so anyone new to ttrpg ap's knows, you should have a session zero, where you talk about what sort of stuff people may not want to confront in a game. It is not supposed to be done on camera or somewhere, where people are not comfortable saying things. Some things might be just between the person and GM.
@@StreamofBlood Oh, please excuse me, I misremembered the name of the book and corrected my comment accordingly. It just seems to me that there is a plot twist to the story that reminded me of the central plot twist of the book.
Stakes only paralyze vampires in the lore. Even through the chest. So, one of the 3 rebels may have had a public execution from what I can assume based on what I learned from bloodlines
So the reason I clicked this video was seeing Jared Logan DM Thomas Middleditch. But the reason I stayed was (well, for the amazing RP and solid entertainment) for Ross Bryant (*wolf whistle*). Just kidding, great job everyone! Sorry to objectify you Ross!
Um actually weight of the feather does not require a rouse. I believe but I should be wrong most level 1 disciplines do not require a rouse check I figure by know you guys no this but the dewb ine chould not help but point it out . I understand at this point all of you where fairly new. So it cool.
really like them but also anyone else felt screamed at by the ST like we are talking across a football field? Like I said I like him too but maybe I am just differently conditioned by Jason Carl! XD Looking forward to how this chronicle plays out though.
It is absolutely the case that Vampires of Pittsburgh and all our channel's content expresses the political viewpoints of the creators and participants; both intentionally and inadvertently. No apologies. We do not require our viewers to subscribe to identical viewpoints to our own but we trust that they can engage with other opinions or ideas without hearing it as a challenge.
@Paul Gauthier Did you intentionally muddle unrelated issues to have me spend time disentangling them? There is Vampire politic and ad lib unrelated to Vampire politic. Benefit of the doubt though; I'll assume you were just confused about what I was referring to since this post wasn't directed at anyone else but the content creator.
2 minutes in and I can tell that everyone involved is trying way too hard to be funny and quirky. We'll see if this improves but I'm not holding my breath.
@@chriscordeiro1052 Maybe you didn't actually watch the stream, in which case I completely understand your position. They didn't even get to their characters at that point, they were only trying to be funny and failing miserably. Perfect entertainment if you happen to enjoy cringe. I unfortunately don't.

Ross Bryant single handedly destroyed any plans Jared had, it was glorious and entirely worthy of the Brujah I'm sure he is.
I shame he failed the roll though. Lucky he had this feather thing. ^^
"Ya know what, fuck it" *YOMP*
10/10

It feels like the players have a lot of agency, which is a very refreshing change to the "On the rails" feel many podcasts have. Kudos to you all!

It crazy good of the players giving they were completelye clueless! And that get Jared on the edge and loving it and go all out. Amazing!

This is criminally underviewed, gutted I didn't find this earlier!
Being from Pittsburgh I can confirm that Miles Vanderbuck has big Yinzer Energy

I finally get to watch this! :) was looking forward to it. Happy to see this kind of content. ^.^.
Sought this out after Jared's stint on New Game, Who Dis.
Really enjoyed that, looking to see what he does with an actual campaign!

Great work from everyone, but such amazing GM’ing from Jared in this one. #GMingGoals Thanks, all.
The shoutout to the Gentlemangamer made me so happy :) great session!
Jared's portrayal of Sonya is masterful.
Is that a plant on top of a end table on top of a TV tray?
Good eye! It was the topic of much pre-stream discussion.
@@StreamofBlood LOL. I noticed in the later episodes he moved his camera a bit so you can't tell anymore.
Man usually I keep track of VTM streams but i missed this one somehow. Thanks for putting this up guys!
You lucky duck! Have you got a wild ride in store! ;-)
I got here looking for GURPS.
I actually laughed out loud 2 or 3 times, that gets me to the next ep. Good job!
"YOU.. YOU KILLED BUTTON GWINNET?!?!?!" Oh my god I swear I fucking died laughing. I LOVE this series!
The penthouse "Button" is on the sidewalk.
I love the twist at the 64th floor
Good stuff, Mr Logan.
I wish there was a Netflix series of this, with the players playing their characters 💕 #addicted
Watched the whole thing. It was super entertaining! Now I kind of now want to try this game. :D
Mannnn. A TTRPG, taking place in the city I live in, and a Chrono Trigger reference and every1 got it! Awesome stuff lol
Stick around, Sam! This game gets bonkers!
@@StreamofBlood will do! Hope to binge and catch up so I cant watch live!
Blood rave. Sounds sticky.
I just found this podcast and wish I had found this earlier to watch live.
Never too late! Thanks for listening and say hi if you can catch us live. Our schedule is posted on Twitter, Instagram, and our Discord..
"all I want is a blood rave". So awesome to have Thomas Middleditch playing V5
Props to Mr Middleditch for drinking red wine during a VtM game.
Ok, watched seasons two and three, now from the start.
Looking forward how Jen and Curtis develop into the characters I know.
I found this thanks to the Glass Cannon game and I'm glad I did. VTM is one of my favorite worlds
Wonderful! Welcome. Stick with it, VoP definitely gets wilder and wilder.
Great game, congrats
Defenestration is a repeating theme in VTM...😁🤣
Jared and co., welcome to the Naish!!!

Kyle MacLaughlin we get that a lot :) glad to have you!
Mr Bryant reminds me of Pittsburgh Dad.
Like Pittsburgh Dad's Zombie routine...😁🤣 these vampires must be from Mt. Lebanon
1:51:43 And every not American watcher starts to google who this "Button Gwinnet" was...

Thomas Middleditch playing a socialist conspiracy-theorist middle-aged vampire on TH-cam. Yes. I have now seen it all.
My Dying Bride! \m/
