.I just received my gsd puppy it has travelled a long distance(6 hours), now it won't eat anything and keeps on vomiting saliva he does drink a lot of water. pls help I'm shit scared
I see he's still loving that broken purple ball. LOL. Guessing that's his favorite toy still. I now I also understand why so many Britons vacation in the Caribbean. That beach is pretty awful. We have to get Saber to a beach in the warmth where the sand is white and the water is never out, so clear he can catch his own fish. LOL. I think he'd love that. He can frolic in the water as long as he wants, then rest and dry off under a coconut tree. And dogs absolutely love coconuts, so he can drink some coconut water and eat coconut with his fresh fish. It will ruin him for English beaches.

I guess he just loves it. ☺ As for the beach, believe me, on a sunny day, it is absolutely beautiful and looks completely different. I think it's a tiny bit mean to put the beach we love so much down, and call it "Awful", but you are entitled to your opinion. We went back today and Andrew took some amazing footage. Not at all. It's odd, the whole time I was writing you I was chuckling thinking this convo was so funny, so I hate you thinking I was being mean or was even trying to be. I'm guessing my humor doesn't translate well across countries and via the internet. I'll start adding LOLs, from now on so you'll know I'm kidding, And...I didn't mean live in the Caribbean. Even I don't live there any more. Housing is way too expensive and if you don't get paid in a foreign currency, cost of living is too high. I meant, go for a visit. Like if you were treated to a trip, would you guys take Saber and hang out at the beach under coconut trees. Maybe get on a boat and sail around? I only even thought of it because your son said he wanted to take Saber to a lot of different places. I'm an Anglophile, possibly because of my British colonial roots, and if it weren't so cold there, I'd probably be living there. My friend in London was throwing a fit and running out for fans because it hit the high 70s. When I was a girl, we had a cold snap where it hit the mid 60s. I thought I was going to freeze to death. LOL. And no one had a heater. Couldn't even get them in the stores. Anyway, I'd love to see the new footage. Frankly, I love seeing any footage of Saber. He always makes me laugh. Sebas Serafeim Yes we can, if your dog is well cared for and fed, has just the right amount of exercise (not too much as a puppy, while he's still growing), you SHOULD be able to feel his ribs, but NOT see them. Saber is in perfect physical condition as far as we know at this moment. unfortunately, all the good intentions in the world can not always prevent hip dysplasia. But we are keeping a sharp eye on him. It's a bit early for an x-ray yet, but as soon as he's fully developed we will have him checked out. Hope this helps. thank you so much for these videos! you are such a great owner! I absolutely LOVE GSDs and its great to see such a responsible and loving owner. ONE piece of advice though.. please don't feed Saber, so close to having him out and running.. and also try not to offer too much water, when he's out and running out so much! GSDs are prone to stomach torsion, a stretching and flipping of the stomach ... with water and feeding before and after coming back from exercising . A very serious condition which can kill him very quickly if you don't get him to a vet within a seconds of it happening!I know this is a video and most likely the timing is not what is seen here. Don't feed him, water him too soon before exercising.. and don't feed or water him too soon after returning home! wait about half hour to 45 minutes to exercise.. after feeding and wait this time on your return home. hey man i really want one of these dogs but due to my job i wouldn't be at home for at least 6 hours a day i'm an active person though so waking up at 5 am to go for a run wouldn't be a problem or a late night run do you think it's a good idea?
I was taking a bath and my gsd put his head near the water and my eyes were closed and of course i got startled and then I could tell he really wanted to get a bath just to get one. So I did he was so happy with me that when I was on the Xbox he just sat next to me. He normally does this but after a while he goes outside with my sister to play but he stayed.
What kind of ball is that ? My GS Nova destroys all the balls I buy her yours sounds like a heavier ball and very nice with a handle for them to bite very kool ?
Not in use Unfortunately they can be quite nippy when very young, Saber is so much better now, but occasionally gets a bit over excited, but he never hurts, he's very gentle. We used bitter Apple spray on any furniture AND on our hands when he was a puppy. It really worked. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching. X
All GSD pups are nippy. Made worse because their teeth are so sharp when they're young. Give him a couple things to chew on as an alternative to you and your furniture, then use deterrents on items you don't want him to chew on. As Miss Angela says, a pet safe spray works well. When they chew on things you don't want them to, it's also a great training opportunity. So utilize the commands. When older, they'll still want to chew on something, the breed loves to gnaw, constantly, but by then he shouldn't be chewing on the things he's been trained not to. And you should provide chew toys so he gets to chew. Make sure each toy is a different size, material and shape, so if he gets bored with one he has alternatives and isn't lured back to furniture or shoes. They seem to chew more when they don't have another dog to play with so best provide him with suitable distractions as it is an active and intelligent breed that requires a lot of mental and physical stimulation.
Remember dogs have got two types of toys playing toys what squeaks ect.. and then bones toys for chewing on, also his nipping stage is not all that bad might be frustrating at the moment but you got to remember he is going to be a big dog let him learn bite control. but on the things you want him to like a toy or a bone or something at least he will learn how powerful his mouth really is instead of him learning by a mistake and turns one day and bites you too hard and causes damage. i hope this make sense

It is a really nice beach, we went early in the morning on purpose so the tide would be out. This gives Saber allot more room to run around.
