It don’t matter. Not what we came for bro. Your reaction and thoughts on the song are what we really wanted to hear. New sub man. Keep pushin forward fool, you got this!!
This song changed the game forever. January 1st, 1990, everyone fell in love with it. I was ten at the time. And to this day, whenever you hear that drum beat, you already know what song it is, and head to the dance floor lol. Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill, and Ralph Tresvant were all out there having success with their solo hits, and these three just rounded it out. No other group has had all six members have a great solo career other than New Edition
They once said they tried to get the song played on the radio but they were denied so they played it for their friends and family. And it became popular…
This came out at the perfect time when I was in high school. The video was on all the time on the music video channels. You would've had a blast being a teenager back then and would've dressed just like the guys in the video.

This song will never die! Lol They play it at award shows. I'm pretty sure when I have kids and grandkids they're gonna be listening to it. It's dope tho. I would suggest "WORD TO THE MUTHA from New Edition". It was their first song with ALL the members after they broke up to do their own thing. The other popular song after they got back together again after another breakup is "HIT ME OFF - "New Edition" that was from a whole album they did.
“When Will I See You Smile Again?” By Bell Biv DeVoe (BVD).🔥 Saw them perform in concert at what known back then as Orlando Arena in FL. They were hott and did not disappoint. They had everyone on their feet the whole time❤️. That was around ‘91.

Yes, First there was New Edition then Bobby left the group to do his solo thing, enter Johnny Gill who had a great solo career before he joined NE,then Ralph had his own solo career so the other 3 Bel,Biv,Devoe did their own thing So now when they tour everyone is there even Bobby Side Note Bivens is the one who discovered and signed the group that came after them which is Boyz to Men Please you have to do their song End of the road
Bobby Brown did not leave the group. He was voted out of the group. Johnny Gills did not have a great solo career before joining New Edition. His solo career become "great" after joining the group.
@@magnetmac1 Johnny Gill had some charting songs before he joined New Edition- act like you really know. his 1984 song- Perfect Combination is a R&B classic, a great song.
@@IceManLikeGervin Perfect Combination is not a solo album. It is a collaboration album with Johnny Gill and Stacy Lattisaw. J. Gill recorded only one solo album ('Chemistry' released in 1985) BEFORE he joined New Edition in 1987. His only solo album, before joining New Edition, did alright and showed potentials. But your claim that he had a "great" solo career (with only one album) is simply not true.
@@magnetmac1It's still counts as his album, genius. JG released 3 albums before he got with NE: Johnny Gill (1983), Perfect Combination (1984) & Chemistry (1985). JG was well known in the R&B community as a great singer the very reason why Mike Bivins recruited him to join NE in the first place. Perfect Combination was a top 10 hit and is a classic R&B song to this very day. Have a great life. I'm done with this conversation...all the best.

The interesting factoid about Bell Biv Devoe is they were actually the connection from New Edition to Boyz 2 Men. First you had New Edition then three members of that group became Bell Biv Devoe. They once said they tried to get the song played on the radio but they were denied so they played it for their friends and family. And it became popular…
Radio denied the song because of the lyrics , and beat .
Possibly the most recognizable intro to any song ever. That snare hit and we all knew what time it was.
The 90 songs! Old school is best forever!!

PROVERBS 5
Avoid Immoral Women
1My son, pay attention to my wisdom;
listen carefully to my wise counsel.
2Then you will show discernment,
and your lips will express what you’ve learned.
3For the lips of an immoral woman are as sweet as honey,
and her mouth is smoother than oil.
4But in the end she is as bitter as poison,
as dangerous as a double-edged sword.
5Her feet go down to death;
her steps lead straight to the grave.
6For she cares nothing about the path to life.
She staggers down a crooked trail and doesn’t realize it.
7So now, my sons, listen to me.
Never stray from what I am about to say:
8Stay away from her!
Don’t go near the door of her house!
9If you do, you will lose your honor
and will lose to merciless people all you have achieved.
10Strangers will consume your wealth,
and someone else will enjoy the fruit of your labor.
11In the end you will groan in anguish
when disease consumes your body.
12You will say, “How I hated discipline!
If only I had not ignored all the warnings!
13Oh, why didn’t I listen to my teachers?
Why didn’t I pay attention to my instructors?
14I have come to the brink of utter ruin,
and now I must face public disgrace.”
15Drink water from your own well-
share your love only with your wife.
16Why spill the water of your springs in the streets,
having sex with just anyone?
17You should reserve it for yourselves.
Never share it with strangers.
18Let your wife be a fountain of blessing for you.
Rejoice in the wife of your youth.
19She is a loving deer, a graceful doe.
Let her breasts satisfy you always.
May you always be captivated by her love.
20Why be captivated, my son, by an immoral woman,
or fondle the breasts of a promiscuous woman?
21For the Lord sees clearly what a man does,
examining every path he takes.
22An evil man is held captive by his own sins;
they are ropes that catch and hold him.
23He will die for lack of self-control;
he will be lost because of his great foolishness.
