It's great to see someone pointing out that suspension is important for performance. Like in cars, the main job of suspension is not to cushion bumps, but to maximize grip between the wheel and variable surfaces. All the power in the world won't help you if you can't efficiently put that power on the ground
Thank you for pointing that out. I usually don't read descriptions as they only contain advertising :P. I already expressed my point about the weight (see my other post here) 3 and 4 are not really disadvantages, and 6 and 7 are clearly points in favor of the ET Max :D And about 8, he is not serious, I already commented that with ET max you get a full wheel, ready to ride from the box, while with the Lynx you get a bottom-naked toy to which you still need to add pads, bumpers, etc. Fortunately the aftermarket is a million times better for Lynx, it seems. But this may equilibrate in time, if both wheels "catch" to the people. What I didn't say yet is that Lynx, as naked as it is, it is still MORE EXPENSIVE than the ET Max on Aliexpress.. (my main provider, living in Asia)
Fantastic video Zen. The camera angle for the race is next level. Also great commentating. Major shout out to the Sherman S but more credit should go to the rider IMO
Great video! You bring up a lot of great points to look out for and pay attention to when it comes to wheels. My next wheel will be for off road, so if the begode does have the batter box too low it'll be automatically rejected as an option. So far the Lynx just seems like exactly what i will want/need for my goals of riding and improving. Keep up the great work! Psycho, great job on the camera man work! Lastly, all the beauty in the background makes me want to visit spain!!! 😆
Never thought I’d live to see the day where someone suggested that new Begode wheels were heavier because they’re maybe made with better quality components 🤣🤣👍🏻
Fact: in the '98-'99 I was working in a factory in China, we produced speakers boxes (normal stuff, for desktop computers, etc) and exported them around the world (mostly Germany and USA), and we used to put a bar of lead inside each box, to make them heavier - first, they won't tumble on the desk when you accidentally hit them, and second, when people bought them, they weighted them in their hand - heavy speakers looked like serious stuff and were more expensive, while the lighter one looked like plastic and cheap, and they won't buy them even if they were cheaper. No joke. People prefer to pay double for heavier speakers, even if the electronics inside (amplifiers, etc) were exactly the same, and the box looked the same.
Zen.... come on!! Maybe don't wear a Leaperkim shirt if you want to seem unbiased 😎. You're ripping the ET before it's even out. I can't find anything on the ET weight. I always thought it was a good thing that Begode updates their wheels to be the best possible wheel each and every batch. Don't see anything yet about an IP rating, something tells me it will have decent waterproofing even if they skip IP rating. The battery boxes appear to be significantly better than the EX30. You may well be right about the suspension, again tho, we don't know how good the ET will be. This is the first time I've seen a ShermS win a race... Begode has been dominating the race scene for the past few years. I get it, Leaperkim does make great wheels. I think Begode gives them a run for the money tho and I'm excited to see these beasts go head to head at the all the big races
Yeah the et is probably like 100lbs. If it can somehow smoke the lynx off the line it might be better in some races. But having a lighter wheel is so nice on the day to day. I wouldn't want the matter pro over my master for example.
In this breakdown, I've distilled my top reasons for preferring the LYNX over the ET, going beyond mere brand loyalty. It's all about performance, innovation, and reliability. Check out my detailed comparison and see why the LYNX stands out for me in the world of high-performance wheels. When I say V13 replace with V14. List of 10 reasons in description.
You’ve always liked Begode. 😅 I still like Begode, it hasn’t let me down yet and I don’t think the ET will. I am considering buying the ET coming from a Master Molicel which I still haven’t been able to peak out its performance. I think these top of the line “S”battery performance wheels will test your skills to the limits. 😊
I’ve got no allegiance whatsoever to any of these companies. I bought a Lynx because every review said it was awesome, and LK makes fewer errors when it comes to quality. But the ET Max had not been announced. We’ll see. They need to get the reviews out soon. I have to assume this wheel is gonna be sweet
Dang! That race footage makes me feel so much clearer about my feelings towards my Sherman S. I saw in some of the earlier Lynx videos that the S somewhat keeps up with it in acceleration. It made me wonder exactly how much the voltage of a wheel really changes the performance, above all other factors (weight, programming, etc). I've heard some riders say that what determines speed and acceleration these days is how well the rider controls their wheel. I figured voltage does a lot in terms of safety margin and top speed, but now I'm just as confused as you are about how well it can handle 55mph. Glad I didn't have to experiment with that myself!
yes it is possible it already exists. I'm considering doing it to increase the lever arm and therefore the acceleration from zero (and nimbleness), and I was wondering if you had any thoughts on that. @@ZenLee
I am saying this lots of times. Leaperkim can do a lot more with the same specifications, than the competition. They have proved this with every wheel.
It depends on the race/circuit, I think its using the same suspension as my GT. If it was using the same suspension as the Commander Pro I'd like it more. The GT's suspension can be good for really tight cornering because it's so stiff, but I'd still prefer the Pro's. From the video's I've seen it also looks awkward to ride because of its size/shape.
Begode’s new motor design may add to the wheels weight. I’ve always rode Begode wheels and never disappointed but I’m staying w my Lynx order mainly for the progressive suspension even tho I admit the ET is tempting me. The Lynx will b my first LK EUC so if it disappoints, I’ll dump it for the ET and stick w Begode forever more. Good info.
Good video enjoyed it. I am confused by those battery boxes being so low, especially combined with them using the 130mm suspension travel as a selling point. Seems kind of like a wheel that doesn't know what it wants to be from my first impressions.

Leaperkim wheels have field weakening enabled with high speed mode, which allows for the wheel to go faster but sacrificing the torque at the same time (HS mode only activates after a certain PWM). As we have seen from Roger, Begode is also experimenting with this. He was able to hit 105kmh with his EX30 and it was not at full battery. ET Max is probably going have this feature already enabled. I dont see a Lynx catching up with a ET Max at a race circuit if Begode is utilizing their board properly with the amount of current that 50s cells can give.
On paper it might be better, we'll see in the races this year! I've seen a few first time buyers go with the Lynx, but I think you're right most new riders may be more interested in something more affordable like the S16
Show us the full race footage! Begode is smart to find different ways to penetrate the market. Partnering up with EUC's community favorite girl is a right move. Trapazoid battery boxes wouuld solve bottom corner problems. Seeing the video of the ET Max the bottom corners are at the edge of the top spokes. So, its not as bad as we see on the promo pics or could still be a problem like EX30. The potential problem is the battery boxes of ET Max sits parallel to the ground. EX30 atleast has a pedal linkage at the bottom of the battery packs as an impact point.
i totally agree with your thougths, and about the battery pack it s very to low for off road ride and will be the same as the ex 30 so ET MAX will be only an race wheel . i prefer keep the lynx on my set by the way i start really appreciate your videos just keep up that way thanks for your great job (y)
If you put the pedals on the et max at their lowest position the battery box wouldn't stick out any more than they do on my commander mini......... I've never clipped my battery boxes
In most cases the reseller/retailer has to purchase a minimum amount of product from a manufacturer. This goes for most products. At the same time, many retailers with brick and mortal stores require a certain amount to be sold or they take it off the shelves. Simply requiring a certain amount to be purchased is not a big deal. And 100 units of anything is very small for a retailer, especially if the product is good and they sell nationwide, even world wide. They can literally sell 100 units in day Obviously Begode and the retailers collected and seen all Data of the pre-orders for units that came out in the past, so it is safe to set the minimum at 100 units.
Dude YEAH RIGHT! Hahaha ET is not even out yet and you are already trying to cope! Lynx is great, but enjoy that top slot til about March and then the ET is gonna be top dawg. No questions asked. Never bet against Begode cause you will loose.
As it turned out, the 8 or 10 pounds difference in weight you talk about (and your main concern) are in fact 22 pounds 😛 The rest you say is just pure bias (which is quite clear now, two months after this video was published). I am still in limbo which of the two should I order... I mostly ride on paved, wavy mountain roads, and the ET Max seems made for that (after seeing reviews from Marty, Dawn, and co). But my main argument against the ET Max is the fact that I already have a 53 kg wheel, which has a much better range, and it is generally better at almost all aspects (that's the OG Master Pro, with plastic batteries cases), and you know how it goes, who rode the Master Pro, will never want another wheel.... 🤪, but the reality is that sometimes I come from work too tired to wrestle the MP, and what I really need is an upgrade for my RS-HT. The Lynx seems exactly that. Second, I am not so happy with the 168V (for the reasons I already explained somewhere around, related to the fact that my charging rig into which I invested a lot of time and money to design and make, is limited to 160V - at the time I designed it I didn't foresee how high the voltage of these toys will go, so if I buy a 168V wheel, that rig is scrap, which would be a pity...). On the other hand, with the ET Max you get a full wheel, good to go from the box. With the Lynx you get a naked bottom toy, you need to buy clothes for it, i.e. pads, seat, bumpers, etc., which add to the price and headache (well, I print my own pads, but yet...)
I just looked up the definition of bias to make sure I'm correct in saying I'm not biased. I will ride whatever is the best wheel for racing on street and offroading, I don't care about brand loyalty, I care about winning. I've raced every major brand of EUC except KingSong. The Lynx is a better wheel in almost all areas, the ET Max is heavy, and has shitty suspension and cornering, they're already having to send out 'upgrade' replacements. It has more overall power, and top speed, but I don't need to go faster than 60mph, especially if I have to sacrifice good suspension, accelerations, and cornering. If you like to go straight, and don't mind the inferior suspension, ok get the ET. But if you have both the ET going be living in the closet...
@@ZenLee I can not argue there, that's your use case and your weight, and you know better. I would even add the fact that the aftermarket for Lynx is a million times better too (trust me, I did the research!). However, the "vibe" against large, heavy wheels, is just a "storm in a glass of water". I ordered my Master Pro for the range and for the larger wheel (stability, more rubber on potholes, etc, and before the suspension being a fashion I wanted to get a Monster Pro ☺as a second wheel after the RS-HS). When I got it (the Master Pro), I could not mount it and dismount it, and no way to take tight corners, even after being an "expert" with the RS, and I was cussing myself for two weeks, "what a stupid guy to order this sh!t, I would never be able to ride this goliath", but then, day by day, I got used with it and now the weight absolutely makes no problem, contrarily, it is a huge advantage. I can mount it and dismount it and take corners and got everywhere with it, its only issue is that I can't break fast, but that may be my fault, and not wheel's. Also, if I stop and revert going backwards (no issue), then I can't reverse to going forward again without putting the leg down (sometimes). Of course, I may be totally wrong, because my comparison is a RS-HS (my first wheel) and a V8F (my second, I still own both). I rode a K16X and a OG Sherman in the past (not mine) - didn't like any of them, the K16X for the sag when cornering, the Sherman - paradoxically - for its weight, which again, tells a lot about MY SKILL at the time (long before getting the MP) and not about the wheel. So, obviously I didn't ride "newer wheels" like you did - otherwise I would be the one posting and you would be the one commenting 😛to my videos. I am not as skilled as you, I am not racing, I don't go fast, and at my age, I am happy going the way I go. But I for sure won't disqualify the ET Max for its weight, and I am a bit nervous about the fact they don't disclose the weight of the wheel in the specs, like they are trying to hide some defect of the fact that the wheel is too heavy 😅 (yep, you can not find the wheel's weight on their datasheet, neither on Aliexpress, etc., even now weeks from release). Luckily some of the YT reviewers pointed out the wheel's weight, so we know about. Also, what Dawn says about the 168V wheels depleting the battery faster, it is true, even if some don't believe her - and this is physics (I made my bread in the last ~35 years, and still making it, designing electronics/writing firmware for industrial controllers). But ET Max has its advantages too, well pointed by some of the reviewers, I won't repeat them here, and all this still keeps me in limbo about which of the two wheels should I order next 😵💫😩, albeit now I am inclined about 60% for the Lynx (I also print my own bumpers and pads, and this is part of the reason, as the Lynx comes naked, you need to invest in those too) (edit: please see also my reply to Dogo.R here below).
Battery box being low is a non issue. All wheels don't need to be good at everything and Begode is only making the ET Max to win podiums and stay top dog in performance. This wheel belongs on the track or pavement. There's quite a few solid 16 inch wheels available to do off road, jumps and tricks this doesn't need to be one of them. Just like EX30 has no place in off road. LK makes more mixed use wheels but as a result despite having solid kits aren't the best at anything. Begode foresaw the heat from the Lynx on the track and they simply had to shut it down.
@@ZenLee The current race tracks limit the full potential of the wheels. Racers should be able to full throttle the longest stretch of the track without restraint and the curvature of a turn should be wider for maximum speed on a turn. The tracks that racers on now fall back to the "skill of the riders", sharp turns and can't do full-throttle.
If only Leaperkim used hot charge ports for charging AND discharging I would never buy anything from another brand 🤷🏿♂It's the only reason I'm going with Gotway this time around.
Lynx is faster in start because of lower weight, thou et max is much stable at higher speed because has got more weight, and lower battery placement. That means no wobbles more stability... And top speed is faster at et max.
Perhaps your're totally correct but unless one has ridden it & did a direct comparo, I aint buying your 'reasons'. Luckily I dont need a new wheel so I'll hold my judgement til there are facts other than made up logic &or reasons (however one believes in it). All good
please, please dear God, throw some IQ down to some influencers. It must be so boring (or so f…ing hot) in Spain, that making a video, rubbing on a glass sphere is the only thing one can do for making “Euc content”, it seams. Oh, a wheel that is only ready at Chinese Newyear isn’t already sent to the Godlike Zen Lee? They haven’t invented a Time Machine just for him? Suspicious!!! Also beside Ewheels….Alien Rides, Euc Ungerground and Next Gen (James) are carrying that wheel….at minimum! The rest of arguments isn’t even worth going about….lies, nonsense, superficial evidence. “The Sherman won ONE race…OK, that also told me directly the ET Max is bad 🤦🤪” Just my personal -uneducated- 2cents! We have saying here: “follow the money” to find out the intentions behind something…..
This just seems like a totally biased review of these two wheels because you’re sponsored by Lieberkim. At least ride the wheel you’re comparing the Lynx to. You may be making some good points but I can’t trust anything you say because you’re so obviously biased. Do better fair reviews and it will help your channel. Higher quality metals on begode?? Do You mean heavier carbon steel? Coz Lynx is almost entirely made from Lighter higher quality Magnesium.
great to hear, I don't know much about metals, I'm just trying to justify the extra weight of the ET MAX in a positive way.
If you put the pedals on the et max at their lowest position the battery box wouldn't stick out any more than they do on my commander mini......... I've never clipped my battery boxes
Hi. I caught my name on the screen at 8:58 . Unfortunately I made quite few mistakes in my highlighted comment 😆
They can literally sell 100 units in day
Obviously Begode and the retailers collected and seen all Data of the pre-orders for units that came out in the past, so it is safe to set the minimum at 100 units.
Good stuff.
Just the coil suspension on the ET alone makes it better for hard-core riders, let alone the other specs that are gonna smoke Lynx
we shall see! only time will tell, I'm excited to see it in action.
Dude YEAH RIGHT! Hahaha ET is not even out yet and you are already trying to cope! Lynx is great, but enjoy that top slot til about March and then the ET is gonna be top dawg. No questions asked. Never bet against Begode cause you will loose.
we shall see! I love Begode and if they release a better wheel I will get it.
Yeah I bought the Lynx. Might also buy the ET or the GT Pro when the dust settles. I’ve got no loyalty.
Apparently my body position sucks lol. Great race.
No problem brother. Everyone should throw some in the hat!!😜
Much appreciated!
great video!
Lynx vs ET on Race might depends on the nature of the track
I’ve been waiting for the Sherman-S replacement for a minute 🤌
It's hard to replace a Sherman S. Lots of people I gave demos too with the Lynx, still preferred there S.
@@ZenLee 160V Sherman-S 🤌 it’ll bring world peace
Good video!
As it turned out, the 8 or 10 pounds difference in weight you talk about (and your main concern) are in fact 22 pounds 😛
The rest you say is just pure bias (which is quite clear now, two months after this video was published).
But ET Max has its advantages too, well pointed by some of the reviewers, I won't repeat them here, and all this still keeps me in limbo about which of the two wheels should I order next 😵💫😩, albeit now I am inclined about 60% for the Lynx (I also print my own bumpers and pads, and this is part of the reason, as the Lynx comes naked, you need to invest in those too)
(edit: please see also my reply to Dogo.R here below).
amazing bro thank you for that info 🤩
you know it! How are the Spanish subtitles?
Battery box being low is a non issue. All wheels don't need to be good at everything and Begode is only making the ET Max to win podiums and stay top dog in performance. This wheel belongs on the track or pavement. There's quite a few solid 16 inch wheels available to do off road, jumps and tricks this doesn't need to be one of them. Just like EX30 has no place in off road. LK makes more mixed use wheels but as a result despite having solid kits aren't the best at anything. Begode foresaw the heat from the Lynx on the track and they simply had to shut it down.
130mm Travel....... that battery box..... bro... 🤨 "She belongs to the streets 😎"
si
are you not a Begode fan? I am waiting for all of the feedback from real ppl though, ET has sick stats though.
I'm a fan of whomever makes the best racing EUCS and has the best after service/parts replacement. On paper its amazing! we''ll see!
If only Leaperkim used hot charge ports for charging AND discharging I would never buy anything from another brand 🤷🏿♂It's the only reason I'm going with Gotway this time around.
to each there own, seems overly knit picky to me though
Shit I hope so. Cant bail on my preorder now lol.
awee yeahhh
A comparison video only owning one of the wheels? Hmm
Lynx is faster in start because of lower weight, thou et max is much stable at higher speed because has got more weight, and lower battery placement. That means no wobbles more stability... And top speed is faster at et max.
I heard that 50% off and was about to go ape shit buying.
lol! I didn't even noticed I said that until after my last edit, glad I caught it!
ETmax is higher voltage and higher capacity so that will make it heavier.
Perhaps your're totally correct but unless one has ridden it & did a direct comparo, I aint buying your 'reasons'. Luckily I dont need a new wheel so I'll hold my judgement til there are facts other than made up logic &or reasons (however one believes in it). All good
It's food for thought, lots of questions will be answered when we see it tested
Now they're saying the Begode 105 pounds
Im sure the weight of the rider and what he wears makes a difference in a race.
definitely, but the guy riding the 100V sherman weighs about 10kg more than Pysco and I and had more gear.
Bro wait until the wheel come out. Watched some of your old videos and they don't age well. This one won't either
Hello from galicia
Hola! I'm excited to go back to Galicia: Fisterra was my favorite, magical place!
😂-Well that's version one.
please, subtitles in spanish
Debería haberlo, prueba el botón de traducción automática.
Tienes razón. Gracias
this video wiill loosen conection with Begode...you went on the dark side..😂
lost that awhile ago when I made the Lynx review
please, please dear God, throw some IQ down to some influencers.
“The Sherman won ONE race…OK, that also told me directly the ET Max is bad 🤦🤪”
Just my personal -uneducated- 2cents!
We have saying here: “follow the money” to find out the intentions behind something…..
outdated are other wheels....
jajajjajaja v13 review xdxd
dang you didn't correct me this time bro! :)
LYNX IS BEST???? it looks like some kind of superhero stuff...................
Veteran is like Porsche. Always under rating their wheels.
This video is more like a rant than a review.
