First comment! ha! In the first two minutes, I already want to go visit this place. The banding at 1:40 is insane. Love it!! Some of these remind me of Bullseye Jasper. The colors on some of these are incredible.
It's such a great spot! I feel like flint usually gets a bad rep as the "lesser" of the microcrystalline quartz rocks, but I've seen plenty of flint that could hold its own against any jasper or agate.
I just picked up a really nice piece of this with druse quartz from another rockhound at Haunted Ridge. I’m planning on doing a video on it in the future. The druzy is everywhere!!! 🤣
That ones with the crystal pockets @2:06 and 4:20! Whhhhaaaattttt $.50 a pound is not bad! That looks like a super sketch spot to fly the drone! I would have crashed it in seconds! Well done! I hope you do a knapping video at some point!
It was Alex's first time out with the drone so he was a bit nervous and ended up stopping because it was getting too windy, but luckily no crashes! I think I might try to do some knapping sometime next year, but I'm not super confident that I'll be any good at it lol
