I am critical of many things, but this App is AMAZING. So much functionality and so much support. I wouldn't only recommend this to someone I know with an aircraft, I would demand that they have it.
SportsmanFlyer The geo-referenced airport diagrams and approach plates are a Pro feature. You have access to all the diagrams and charts in Basic - just the geo-referencing part is Pro.
I would like to see access to the logbook on the web version. I used to use the logbook feature of foreflight on the iPad but stopped when I found a digital logbook that syncs between my computer and iPad. It is much easier to enter the flights in with a computer!

1- Do you see your location on Charts or approach plates , if you get cellular ipad but not any plan from you carrier? 2- if you don’t get internet service for your ipad n there’s no wifi around, how do you get updates like weather or wind aloft on ur ipad if you get so? Thanks
1 - The cellular iPads come with a built-in GPS that will work whether or not you have a data plan, so as long as you have a Pro Plus plan or above you can use it to see your location on approach plates and airport diagrams. 2 - Without internet connectivity, the only way to get new data in flight is with ADS-B or XM receivers. When en route, how do I get it to display the remaining distance from my destination? I used Foreflight for the first time earlier today and couldn't figure out how to do this. I'm still using my 30 day free trial, so maybe it's not available yet (I don't believe the street map function is available with the free trial as I could not get it to work).
After turning on the Instrument Panel by tapping the "gauge" button at the top of the Maps view, tap on any of the instruments to change select a different one - "Distance to Dest" is underneath the Destination header near the bottom of the list. The Street Map is available during the trial but requires an internet connection to work. Note that the trial version is not intended for use during a real flight since chart downloads are not available on the trial. Using it with a simulator is A-OK though.

I find the app very intuitive, and easy to use. Multiple tutorials on TH-cam, and their website. I’m not sure how you have it configured, but mine always shows ETE, and ETA. You may just need to spend a little more time with it, and I think you’ll find it’s a great tool.
When you purchase a ForeFlight subscription you can choose which "region" you want the subscription to cover - U.S., Canada, or both. The U.S. subscription includes basic information about Canadian airports, but does not give you access to Canadian terminal or enroute charts, which the Canadian subscription does.
We recommend against relying on cellular data in flight due to its unreliability. There are more reliable solutions for inflight data such as ADS-B and XM that we support devices for.
Some data items are provided for Europe, such as global satellite, METARs, PIREPs, and airspace and navigation data as part of ForeFlight's global Aeronautical Maps, but many other important items are missing, such as airport procedures and local charts. We hope to one day add these capabilities to the app but do not have a timeline for when that will occur.
Still think it is LAME you won't make an android version. I mostly use Garmin because of it! I-Junk! HATE apple, I HAD to get an ipad for foreflight and its frustrating as hell!
I hate this damn thing this is the classic case of it ain’t broke yet let’s add more features.Having finally achieved the goal of getting that magenta line on there, The first thing I’d like to know I’m leaving the pattern is what is my heading. The line points me over the highest mountain so using the handy rubber band feature let me pick a saddle or pass to avoid having to claw for altitude and wonder if I’m going to make! it. The new headings should appear on the new lines, I Should not have to pull down some other screen to find out what they are. I Should not have to claw in the side pocket for the local sectional because the iPad on a warm day showed a blank screen, said I am hot, I don’t feel like working anymore cool me off! P.O.S! I used to have anywhere map on a PDA with the XM satellite receiver They told me everything I wanted to know nothing I didn’t. I miss it.

I use it on P3D v2.5 it works perfectly and it permits me to reach a real pilot experience !! i love it :)

Ok thanks. I actually did use the trial during flight, but it was a clear VFR day to an airport I was already familiar with.
How do I get ForeFlight to display the amount of fuel being consumed during flight instead of more fuel than I can hold in the FPL tab?
Check your aircraft's performance profile to make sure the values for climb, cruise, and descent fuel burn are accurate.

In my opinion is very complicated to use also after you enter all type of airplane info , speed, fuel etc etc. It does not calculate ETE nor ETA

This really should be taken down, the newer version is much better, and this is an older software.
