I really enjoyed the video and your presentation at the okihomesteading expo. I liked your comments regarding choosing what works best for you and your goals for raising beef. My Dad was old school in how he raised cattle and you could imagine my shock when we pulled up to a hostess day old store and he filled his pickup truck bed with bread, rolls, sweet rolls and snack cakes! 😮 Them cattle went crazy when we got to the barn to unload. 😂 Darndest thing I’ve ever seen! So I just accepted that everyone has to decide for themselves on how they want to do things 🤷♂️ Thanks again for a great informative video 👍😎🤠
Y’all had a great presentation. I learned a lot. Your way isn’t necessarily going to be my way but it was definitely attention worthy. You had the ear of the crowd and we probably looked like bobble heads nodding 😂
I really appreciate y’all taking questions and getting to meet ya with my wife beforehand was pretty cool.
Just getting back into it after decades my questions are many and confidence shaky so I’m absorbing info and y’all provided.
It sure looked like the skies were bout to open up. It just depended on where ya was standing. One side of the street was getting a beat down and the other a drop.
Glad your better and again appreciate it. The whole expo was worthwhile and I hope it grows. It’s outta the way for many but what we did was camp at the lake and enjoyed it too. It’s just a few miles down the road.

I living in Oklahoma for now from Texas, I agree Oklahoma has the worst roads. You must have been stopped on the I35 traffic stops. They have been working on the road for about 20 years it seems like

Your garden looks great. A raised bed does require a lot more water than a ground plant garden. I have planted tomatoes both vertical and horizontal. You can leave just the top 1/3 of the plant above ground level and they do good.

Good news, all the highway is open now. Theres a good eat'n place one town south right as you come across the Red, The farmstead. Try the fried catfish and banana pudding.
Asking where you want to eat, or are you hungry, is a no-win situation. We all go through it, yes. We just gotta roll with it, I guess. 😊

I have a sister that does that when she comes to visit.
She wants me to make the decision,but then says I really don't want to eat there.
There's only 5 decent restaurants in my area.
So it's hard to decide.

I'm in Missouri and I've been several times to Tulsa dealing with the same problem.
Must be a state wide thing.
I hear they have a lot of toll roads..

It was Eve that chose to eat the apple first and give it to Adam...I swear, when it comes to deciding where or what to eat, all women give the same response, "Whatever or wherever you want to eat." I kind of have to side with Cody on this one. I think it is safe to say women now days try to pass the buck to the guy after Eve screwed it all up for us when she convinced Adam to eat the apple. 😂 Ya'll keep ranchin'!!!

yes about the food. and then you find somewhere to eat and they dont have the one dish theyll only eat LOL

I love a good marbled steak, but the more I study it, the more I learn that cattle are not meant to eat grains and we are introducing diseases and filling them with hormones and medications by confining them. I'm speaking from no experience, but it seems Joel Salatin's pature method just makes more sense.
We’ve never had a sick calf in our feedlot. There are more hormones in a head of lettuce when you eat than you you eat this beef. We are all for choices and support all agriculture, but you’ll never feed the world, let alone America on grass fed beef.
I don’t know if he is right, but Joel Salatin says we can feed the world with natural foods instead of the chemical route. He says he hasn’t had a vet bill in 40 years. I would rather have meat without vaccines, hormones and grains… but I have prefer the taste of grain fed beef.
@@tomcopeland6424 We love a lot of those practices as well! We don’t use a vet either. But let’s be realistic about feeding the world on the grassland available.
