Even Scar from the 2019 remake of The Lion King knows that feeling.
The thing that REALLY makes this scene scary is the background music. The MINUTE his voodoo charm is shattered and the music starts, it REALLY sets the tone. When I first saw this film and the spirits sang "Are you ready", I was just like "Whoa. WHAT is happening?"

I was mostly just shocked when I first saw. Like I realized immediately what was about to happen and was just stunned.
I like how Tiana inadvertently led to Dr. Facilier's death, and she is 1 of the few Disney characters to do so. She may not have know destroying that charm would have resulted in his death, but he literally gets sucked into Hell because of her destroying it.

Look at how frightened and overwhelmed Tiana looked after she defeated him. It’s as if she was thinking “Whoa! I didn’t mean to do that!” She probably though she was gonna break the curse, Not to have him dragged to the eternal depths of hell
That’s right. From the way she reacts, u can tell this scene is a “What Have I Done” scene.
I mean after Simba defeated Scar in The Lion King, he didn’t exactly celebrate, he peered over the Cliff to see what Scar and the hyenas would do next. I bet Simba wasn’t expecting the hyenas to eat him alive

Even though I was never a fan of this film, this scene still REALLY freaks me out. That is such a DARK way to go. Probably the DARKEST scene in a Disney film, along with Clayton's REALLY dark death at the end of "Tarzan".

@@akisatsuki8444 it's not exactly voodoo but you may call it witchcraft, some men act like they are religious men of a Abrahamic religion (wont say which one exactly) and like they are God's good servants and spread ignorance and misinformation like making up prayers and saying if you pray this prayer for example 20 times you can see someones cohort and see if they've been hit by an evil eye or if an evil sprit have touched them, or another prayer which can make you fly (idk how some people belive this crap💀) and for some reason only they can do those things
And people reach out for them for "help with witchcraft or evil eyes" and they bring out a book full of blasphemy and tell them to put there middle finger in it and say there mothers name, and they use sprits to help or harm those people, another thing they do is bring out a sheet of paper and ink (not really sure if it's actually ink) and write unreadable words with weird symbols and a chart with connected numbers in them and fold them up and tell people to desolve them in water and drink or shower in them

Yep. Dr. Facilier and Mama Odie were Voodoo Practitioners. The only difference is that she never took any more power than what she needed and paid back her dues. That's why the spirits from the Voodoo afterlife never went after Odie. They knew she would never make lofty promises she can't keep. Facilier wanted too much and failed to uphold his promises. That's why the spirits went after him and made him pay back his dues with his life.
They're not demons, they're lwas.
I’d argue that giving them any of New Orleans would have been an impossible task. Those souls aren’t Facilier’s to bargain with. He can offer his own soul, and maybe the souls of those who have made bargains with him, but total strangers that neither he nor the Iwa have ever interacted with? Nope. Not his to sacrifice. He screwed up by offering the bargain in the first place. The moment the talisman was destroyed, he became unequivocally incapable of holding up his end of the bargain, so the Iwa came for him.
Facilier had his chance, and he blew it, but now he won't get another one.

That was the brutal death in all of Disney
Yeah it's really brutal but generally Disney is filled with gruesome deaths... if I had to pick one it has to be Scar getting eaten alive by all those hyaenas. Hyaenas do eat their prey alive, instead of giving it a strong deadly bite first, at some vital spot and then start eating.
This death though it was painful to watch. It also reminded me a lot of Rasputin's death in Fox's Anastasia and Hades death in Hercules.
@@gk9546 I feel dr faciliers death was a bit worse because he was probably tortured down in the spirit realm and it defiantly lasted a lot longer than scars, but as for hades, this is a bit reminiscint of that, but that wasnt an actual death, hes a god so he cant die

It’s one thing to have your magic turn against you and rip you apart (Black Cauldron) or even to infer that you will suffer for all eternity right before you die (Hunchback of Notre Dame) but the visceral proof there is an afterlife of beings waiting to devour you whole as they slowly drag you there with smiling jaws is just too much to live with. I’m surprised Tiana was able to just move on as if nothing ever happened 5 seconds ago. BY FAR the most mentally scarring Disney villain

(The demons chant and bang on the drums) I promise I'll pay y'all back! I PROMISE! (Facilier screamed in fear when he ends up being pulled into the mask's mouth along with the other demons. The mouth shuts, and the smoke clears revealing the tombstone with Facilier's shocked face above his name which is engraved on it.)

The reaction Tiana had was amazing. It shows she didn’t think Faciliar would be dragged away to the underworld, she probably thought it would break the curse or something.
For once, the main protagonist is in shock to see that the main villain got a brutal death that was unexpected, and instead of celebrating, she stares in shock.
Keith David: Plays a U.S. Marine Force Recon Lt. Colonel and CIA operative who becomes an undead superhero/antihero after being killed and sent to hell as he made a deal with the Devil.
Also Keith David: Plays a Disney movie villain from 2009 who dies by literally being dragged into hell after failing to pay back his debt to the voodoo spirits.

Dr. Facilier's death reminds me of that game "Sinistar"' (Midway's classic arcade game)
So, Let me elaborate: Dr. Facilier is like the starship in the game. The Crystals are "Souls" needed to pay off a debt (The crystals are used to mine for "Sini-bombs". You need to collect 13 to fight back)
The point is: The ship literally gets sucked into the mouth of a demonic star followed by slamming its' teeth down on the ship for that explosive snap (A bit of a jump scare the first time it happens)

People would think this scene would scare me more as a child but it really didn’t probably because I didn’t know what was going on but now I understand which is what makes it scary the same for the incredibles when he discovered all of the heroes died

This death is right up there with Frollo's.
As someone who just recently finished rewatching Power Rangers Wild Force, I am confident in saying that Toxica's death predates Doctor Faciler's death. If you’re unsure what I'm referring to, I'm talking about the protagonist indirectly causing the villain's death- Tiana smashing Faciler's voodoo charm compared to Cole shooting Toxica with the jungle blaster by accident. However, the main difference is that while Faciler clearly got dragged to hell, Toxica on the other hand was "vaporized" to hell. And if you don't believe me, Toxica went as far as to contact Jindrax through some kind of mirror saying, "I'm here in the spirit world, the resting place of defeated orgs"- which is basically 'org hell'. Plus, Jindrax was eventually able to "fish" Toxica back from org hell, while Doctor Faciler remains dead.
In fact, just imagine if this movie and "Lilo & Stitch" had their release dates reversed and "The Princess and the Frog" was in theaters during the summer of 2002. Then this would be the other way around where Doctor Faciler's death would predate Toxica's death, and then possibly the following year with Lothor's death at the end of Power Rangers Ninja Storm where he falls into hell.
If Raymond were Ymir then :
Dr Facilier must not be Odin. Lawrence must not be Freyja. Voodoo Hayacall / Voodoo Talisman must not be Hel. Friends on the other side must not be Fenrir. Mama Odie as Surtr.
So this is how Husk got into Hell
