I have a collection with around 100 Indonesian keris. I often sell some of them and buy some new ones at an auction, but I never experienced bad luck by selling them. I have some keris that give you goosebumps when you take them out of the warangka, but never had bad luck.

My dad is from java, and he tell me story that when he was young, he and his friend found small kriss(+-10 cm) near a river and my dad took it and put it in his wardrobe. at midnight that wardrobe shaking really hard like there's someone/something trying really hard to get out. It really terrify my dad, and he couldn't sleep or brave enough to find out what happen. In the morning he tell his friend about what happen and they decide to put the kriss inside a wardrobe in small mosque across the street(beside his friend house). And the next morning his friend with really pale face told my father that he hear loud and constant banging sound from the mosque, the weird thing is nobody else seemsto hear that sound. After discussing they finally took and put the kriss back where they found it. Idk if this story really happen or not, i don't really believe it either.

It looks as if it was made in Eastern Java, but could be from Bali or Lombok as well because of the sapphire adornment. Luk tiga pulus, 13 waves makes it a high status Tombak with a possible kulit semangka pamor bringing good luck. The pamor exclusiveness, state and age (of the blade!) decides the value.
