Such a unique puppet. Neither animatronics nor robotics are in it. Just simple levers and pulleys and create just an authentic horse within a puppet. I've GOT to see this play. I've seen the movie, and it left me with a lump in my throat, one that I've never felt before with any other movie in the past.
just saw the stage play in NYC this past weekend - really fantastic. The actors that "operate" the horses do an absolutely incredible job and make them seem completely actual. Great show - highly recommend
I feel like if they would of taken that last extra step in putting a skin over the frame to represent skin and fake fur pieces for the mane and tail, it would have been flawless. It's already a masterpiece as it is though. Outstanding!
