Thank you for the tutorial. I'm hoping this tool may help me move photos from Icloud to google photos and keep chronological order - would you anticipate it working for google photos as well as for Finder date sorting? I've recently moved my world from Mac to PC and am still trying to get all my photos in one place. Presumably I could use the PC version of the tool and do the sorting on my PC once I've downloaded my photos from Icloud? I hope these questions make sense!

I like to sort all photos in Finder rather than Apple Photos because i can use color tags to denote things (best, good, etc) and since Apple killed photostream, i have to download all photos from icloud and of course have the creation day from when i downloaded them. this fixes that and is well worth the price to quickly modify the 5500 photos i took on my phone this year! thanks so much!
I'm trying this with an iphone video and I think I'm doing the right thing but it seems to always change the date to today instead of to the creation date. If I can figure this out, I would buy the full version.

You must have set your system wide language defaults to prefer German over English, you can change this by going to the Apple menu at the top left of your screen, click on "System Preferences" or "System Settings..." (on later macOS releases) and going to the "Language & Region" section. I hope this helps!
does this work for videos as well? For e.g. when i transferred all my photos to my mac from my android, the videos and images are seperated to show either all the videos first, then images or vice versa. I want it so that everything, images and video are mixed in together with chronoligcal order, just like how you would see on a gallery app on any phone in the world. Why is apple so shit in this area

Yes, it should work for videos as well. You can test it yourself by downloading the free trial version.
on windows is so much more easy ....all atributes is on there in explorer. And you can delete just pressing Delete.
Mac is so poor in some things.

LOL... or just use windows.
24 dolars for this.....I prefer rename my photos in Lightroom and export.
