I remember suggesting this to Jack Torr before when he posted his Japan series - to go to a place or village and feature the unique practices, lifestyle, industry, etc. in that area... Gotta love Japan. ❤🎎 And btw Harry, we have hot springs here too. When you come back, go explore Los Baños in Laguna. It's our hot springs capital. Lots of beautiful hot springs resorts there, with a view of the beautiful Mt. Makiling. It's only 2-4 hours from Manila. And they have crystal clear waterfalls there too like Taytay Falls. :)

I have stayed in an old house with my ex wife’s family in Hagi in the Provence of Yamaguchi. Also went to the Onsen and relaxed in the water. I loved staying in Hagi, very different from England.

It's funny that ikigai is somehow very related to Nietzsche's idea of power, the power of overcoming suffering and struggles or essentially in being effective in facing them. Happiness is just an offset of being able to overcome suffering and ikigai's principle shows that for you to be happy you'd have to do the 4 principles.
