I’ve been playing for 20 years and consider myself pretty accomplished but I have always struggled learning Elton John tunes. This is my favorite Elton song and this video made it super easy to learn and as always the teaching is top tier. Thanks for being the man Marty.
Rocket man lines up for guitar awesome. But it uses some weird chords: try this: 020000. Then 002200. the rest of song is normal chords.

im struggling to wrap my head around chord progression theory, what is the basics of the major key chords , a wheel of diagram that shows what the 1.4.5 .(6) are for each key, so if i want to start a 12// blues progression with a G as the 1 chord for example, how do i learn what the 4 and 5 chords should be? could you do a video on that? or link it in the reply?,

Hey Marty, awesome video! You need to do more songs like this songs that have actual soul songs that are actual music. If the song can't last for several decades, then it was never a song in the first place. It was just a catchy jingle.

He may have even already covered this song at some point but you can't really search Instagram like you can You Tube. I wish he would put his stuff on You Tube for that reason alone.
