This is wonderful, thank you so much! My query is: when you are live streaming into a facebook group from zoom, how can you see live comments from group members who are watching the live stream from facebook (rather tan from zoom)? thanks
@@alicechinnmeditation great question! You can see Facebook comments in the Live Producer Studio - which is where you set up the livestream and clicked the Go Live button to start the stream in Facebook. There’s a panel in there that will show comments. If your screen is large enough, you can have a window open with the zoom live stream and a window open with the Facebook live studio showing. Or you could just click between the two windows periodically to see comments. I hope that helps!

@@KickitwithKelly to test everything out, make sure you’re using your browser on a laptop or desktop computer to start the Zoom Meeting. And make sure the Zoom app is updated. Logging into the browser version of Zoom and the app are two different things. I have found people run into trouble if they are trying to do this on an iPad or just using the Zoom app itself. The troubleshooting video shows how to add the stream key and stream URL and that is the best way to make sure the Zoom app loads and connects.

Hi @chippinard2556, the "Add A Channel" option only shows up after you click APPS (on the Zoom control strip - where it has share screen, etc.). You hsould have the Live Streaming App added and as long as you have the Zoom permissions toggled on, it should show up. If for some reason it isn't. I highly recommend watching my Troubleshooting video th-cam.com/video/eEdUHUXMHms/w-d-xo.html which bypasses the need to Add A Channel altogether. Please let me know if it works for you. Hi @gailmarchand4289, to join a private FB group without using Zoom I recommend looking into Ecamm Live. It works GREAT!! So many features for interviews and nultiple people. Check it out here: www.ecamm.com/mac/ecammlive/?fp_ref=lisa75 It's only for Macs, so if you don't use a Mac then look into OBS. It's more labor intensive to get set up but has similar features. Additionally you could look into SteamYard - not 100% sure if that will work. When you find your perfect solution, come back and let me know! 🎉
Hi Lisa - I did everything up to saving channel in zoom and pressed live streaming in zoom and got an error message in zoom: Failed to connect to zoom services. I've removed and reinstalled the details in zoom still not working - suggestions?
Hi @space.whisperer, if you just now changed the settings to custom livestreaming, you may have to log out of Zoom (and facebook - just to be sure) and log back in again. We are somewhat new to hosting livestreaming on a facebook group and it happens to come right when they change it! So, we are new to using outside systems but when using Zoom, do you need to have a paid account in order to have the "allow livestreaming of events" option to appear? When we are in the advanced meeting settings, it's not there. Thanks for the help!
Hi @dougmoore7424, YES you do need a paid Zoom account in order for the live streaming feature to work. I have the Zoom Pro account which is about $150 USD a YEAR. (I think they have amonthly pay option.) Hope that helps! And welcome to world of live streaming on Facebook!🥳

As long as you set up the Zoom meeting as a recurring meeting WITHOUT any date and time, and just label it “Live Stream in Facebook Group” or something that identifies the meeting, then you do not have to add the stream keys or the stream URL every time. So just to be clear… The zoom meeting must be recurring without any date or time. I believe I show how to do this in my Troubleshooting Facebook Livestreams video if that’s not clear. Your client will have to go into the Facebook group and start the post and the live video to open their production studio, but your client will not have to add any stream keys or anything else. Does that make sense? Let me know. Your client is lucky to have you!🤗

And of course it was something simple... after doing everything you said, I wanted to make sure the app was updated directly through the app like you told me to do. While in there I decided to try and launch the Live Streaming App there instead of in the zoom web portal. And it worked!! I don't know if that's standard, but I'm just happy to have it set up! @SovereignAFpodcast , ahhh, try turning off extensions or apps (there have been problems with the duckduckgo app/browser). I use chrome and I think Safari works fine. Also check your Zoom app for updates. (The Zoom App - not the browser). Make sure chrome is also up to date. Do all this, restart your computer and see if that jumpstarts everything! :)

Sure, @JenniferBolus-zo3kq ! First a question for you, is the custom live streaming box checked on your Zoom settings? Often that's the issue. Ifnot, then the problem most people have with the app not working is having the Zoom meetings set to specific dates and time and this set up using Zoom's the live streaming app method works best for recurring meetings. No problem… I created a troubleshooting video that shows how to set it up for specific meetings. You have to add the rtmp URL and keys for each scheduled meeting, but it's really easy. @@highticketsindy the best option is to schedule a recurring meeting and add the keys and fb group & rtmp URLs to that recurring meeting. That way you can start it any time and it will be set up to stream as long as you create the Facebook post and get into your live producer area. 🎉

Do you have to have a subscription to Zoom? I have the FREE version and I don't see the TH-cam and live steaming options :(

@@highticketsindy the best option is to schedule a recurring meeting and add the keys and fb group & rtmp URLs to that recurring meeting. That way you can start it any time and it will be set up to stream as long as you create the Facebook post and get into your live producer area. 🎉

Hi @mindmagicsteph, I'm not sure why the "ADD A CHANNEL" if you followed the steps to turn on the Lie Streaming App in Zoom. No worrries!
