Late May Sambar backpack hunt: PART 2

The second part to my 4 day backpack hunt in the Victorian High Country hunting the elusive Sambar deer.
On this hunt we manage to find 5-6 deer a day with a stag later in the trip.
Some of the gear used on this trip

Nice one guys being there is the good part participating in your favourite form of recreation, bagging a stag is the cherry on top.

Good to see there’s still animals about. Having the same issue with the area I hunt. Plenty of doe activity just waiting for that stag to come through. Persistence will pay off 👍

Yeah It definitely will. Just have to be there right place right time and it’ll all happen!!
