He is one of the greatest guitarist of our times and for me the best in gipsy jazz. He has everything, speed, expression, knowledge and emotion. He doesn't miss one single note.Just perfect.
His speed and articulation are simply way ahead of anything else I’ve ever heard. I think he’s been too active on social media, though. I wish he had of stayed private and only released something for public if it was his absolute best work. I got a bit bored going through his fluffy social media stuff and lost that starry eyed adoration of his intense playing. That may be just a me problem.
His precision- it leaves me in awe, that he is able to have such tight control, yet still conveys all the passion he has for the music via his instrument. Joscho is a true virtuoso, in every sense of the word.
I keep returning to this over years now and still find it one of the most impressive pieces of music Ive ever heard musically, technically, everythingly! Love you man.
same. im back here again for the like millionth time in 7-8 years also. my father showed me Joscho Stephan back in the day and i also keep coming back. fantastic player and impressive skill. very good music
This was one of the first videos I ever saw on TH-cam waaaaay back when it was new.. still blows my mind- The special thing about this performance is that the joy is infectious- and it makes me want to practice guitar all over again! Thank you Joscho
wow..quite inspiring joscho stephan..at times I was reminded of the jazz legend d'jango reinhardt with the timbre & some riffs..so many licks & chordal vamping & the double-stop leaps in the bass especially were quite unique like ur scale runs..it takes us to a lively moods all thru' & perhaps the chords at the end phrase could have been rather delayed too..good show man..God bless..tks..siva..india..(guitsiva)..
his right hand is his secret. and it's not only about speed. pure swing manouche guitar, like this, seems to tell a story at each melody, just like paco de lucia with flamenco... wonderful...
1.I like how the guy at 2:25 wants to be in the shot. 2.I like how this guy looks like Jack Black and delivers the power of Eagle eggs. 3. I like how everything is awesome here.
vor mehreren Jahren hat joscho auf meiner Gitarre gespielt das war ne Volkert. durch diese Gitarre hat er angefangen Volkert zu spielen. das war beim Django Reinhard Festival ( damals hat sie noch jemandem anderen gehört)
Joscho, Du spielst immer besser und besser, you´re getting better and better. Great master, that you are technically and in artistic respect !!!BRAVISSIMO
If he copies the rosemberg, it is not so important because he does it well, he feels the music and what he does. Thus, It is a superb video. Give up writing bad comments. He is fast, he feels and he is a good guitar player. When you can play like him or better, then you have a right to complaint. Otherwise, just shut up and enjoy the music.
hi greatings from mexico good job i wish i had someone like u here i am struggling with my musicians here not to responsable no rehearsal time just earning i bet in your country its better, greatings oskar
does it matter what idea you get? i think this guy is one of the best for his style of music and i can express that how i want, not to please you. If you dont like the virtual fist to go flying watch you language then.
I hate comparing musicians since they all bring something unique to the table. That said, if someone were holding a gun to my head and demanded I pick the worlds best living guitarist, it would be Joscho. He brings 10/10 natural talent, 10/10 expression and creativity, 10/10 technical acuity. He is epic, he is a genius for the ages- he also stands as an indictment on our pathetic, modern bubble-gum culture, that a man like this goes unnoticed while Justin Bieber wins 4 American Music Awards.
7 dislikes. Really? Well, too bad I cannot give more than one like. Lets just stay with, "inspiring and beautiful". Keep them coming. 3:17 - 3:58 great rythm. Thanks.
Hi guys! Just wanted to proudly say to you all that I've just finished the whole transcription of Joscho Stephan guitar part in this version of Bossa Dorado. It took me three days to transcribe the part and it was hard. I have to say it's one of the most challenging thing I've ever transcribed and learned. Contact me if you're interested ;)
wow, those are some fleet fingers, so beautifully in the pocket and smooth. I don't think I've seen chops like this in a VVERRRY long time. Go Man Go, love the baroque style sweep arpeggios at 1:35ish.
Far out man, who needs soul when you can play like this. Anyway this is not blues, this gypsy jazz type music played with panash and flare. Great stuff!
He is one of the greatest guitarist of our times and for me the best in gipsy jazz. He has everything, speed, expression, knowledge and emotion. He doesn't miss one single note.Just perfect.
after 15 years still best.

It's 2024, still he has no matches
His precision- it leaves me in awe, that he is able to have such tight control, yet still conveys all the passion he has for the music via his instrument.

Maestro grande. One of the best things on a guitar I have ever heard.
his right hand is his secret. and it's not only about speed. pure swing manouche guitar, like this, seems to tell a story at each melody, just like paco de lucia with flamenco... wonderful...
