Maj7b5 is the hidden chord of the major scale. Not alot of people know about or discuss this chord. It can be used as the IV chord. Its on the root of lydian.
Wow your lessons get better as I learn each method...!!! I'm hooked 😂 Thanks you SIR!✌️ Mind you I'm 74and still learning new stuff every lesson you dish my way....👍
We are on a similar track with this. I have been using the MaJ7#4 chord a lot recently. And, if you add an F to these 4 notes you have a D Hirajhoshi scale, which I have been working with deeply for years. This is cool I will play around with it. Thanks!
Note to self: don't watch this channel on a Friday night after cracking a few beers open. My head hurts! I'm going to watch this again, pause it and work some of these chords out myself. 😂
First arpeggio is in the D minor master key, follow my L-MALIDP system for total neck breakdowns. Follow the D root note with Aeolian diatonic scale at the 10th fret low E to see and hear.
Great lesson once again ! Always detailed reviews on particular subjects rarely discussed on web videos. Gonna have a look on your ebooks. Thanx a lot for everything you bring !
I'll byte.... haven't looked at this stuff for awhile been playing for many years.... there's always something to learn..... easy peasy great vid..... you can integrate all what your going over in many styles of playing.... trippy
Dude this is awesome. Marty Friedman loves this shape and use over all sorts of chords. I'm sure he's doing something similar. Anyway I love moving the same arpeggio shape over changes, it creates interesting sounds without a lot of effort finger-wise
Thank you for this video. I added a C on the low E string, and an E flat on the A string and came up with a cool kind of spy movie theme song progressions. That's not at all what you were getting at but that simple initial pattern gave me inspiration and I ran with it.
3:36 - Or as Vai speaks about his audition with Zappa, Frank told him (jokingly) "I hear Linda Ronstadt is looking for a rhythm guitar player". Best Regards and Best Wishes!
It's an awsome presentation and extremely well explained. Nevertheless Even I understand it when watching, i guess I can't transfer this to another ii V i due to this massive complexity in detail
If you want to transpose it to another key, simply change the position of the arpeggio on the neck of the guitar in order to match the root arpeggio shpae with the root of the chord that you ar playing over...
Mindblowing 🤯 awesome. I totally understand what you did but can you maybe scale down the complexity of your demo for less advanced players to get onboard?

Yes that's true and a beautiful sound on that 4th degree (F-A-B-E in C major). Many people will play it as Fmaj7#11.

Sounds very close to the mysterious intro of No Quarter by Led Zeppelin! Thanks for sharing those tips

well, you did warn us! 🔥😊
:)
Good as it gets in the clarity department! Bravo. Do you have a lesson on the Dorian mode as this is a baffling stick in the mud for me… 🙈🦑🙏
I will make a video about the Dorian mode :)
Great content and presentation! Yes, I like this type of content but I can't subscribe again 😭.
FuZion!
This is the classic Japanese Pentatonic scale when the note G is added.
❤❤❤❤
Epic
Wow sounds like Jeff Beck Wired
Or just learn the appropriate scale and arpeggio for the chord.
Plenty of food for the train, thanks
I create stuff like this…BUT I have no idea what any of the notes or the relation between the notes are called………🤷🏼
It's Normal 😅
Interesting insight but I wish you'd play the arpeggios without all the reverb. It's hard to hear the notes clearly against the chord.
I'll keep it mind for the next time.
. Sometimes my girlfriend is frigidian. I don't like that.😢
