Glen was great. I remember seeing them back in the early 90ies and the blonde Hoffmann(?) was unbelievably stacked and tall. When the band walked by I was in awe.... and even moreso when they unearthed a bonecrushing soundfest later on. It sounded like somebody played the songs from a CD - simply perfect.

They never played much material from Legion live, not even when they were on tour promoting that album 30 years ago. It's too fast and too complex. It sounds really sloppy live. Glen also doesn't like using the slap bass technique used on Legion because it became "trendy" after they made that album.

You still remain yourself, as I believe Benton still hates religion, but he's not being busy hating all day long :) He even confessed during live Q&A that that whole Bob Larson thing was a set-up and that they are both just showmen and even get along. I was at that Queens Hall show in Bradford & remember Glen being pissed about his bass being stolen. Not heard the animal rights thing before - any idea what that was about? Loads of death metal musicians are vegan so I don't see any reason for conflict just because of that. It was Deicide's first UK tour and they put on an immense show tbf. It was packed out, sweaty and brutal. Great memories

As a long-term vegetarian (now vegan) myself, I never get surprised by individuals' choices. Hitler was a vegetarian, after all. You can be sure that Benton was not.
