QUESTION, I have my cucumbers growing up a fence line that is currently pretty overwhelmed by Logan berries. There are some spaces I can leave the cucumber vines so they’re not tangled up with the berries, but not many. Do you think I will have an issue with disease because of this cluttered growing location? I’m hoping once the Logan berries are ripe I can cut them all back, but that may be a few weeks away and the cucumbers are on their way up the fence line pretty quickly.
You could but it depends what's in your area. If there isn't high leaf diseases pressure on the cukes, they should be fine. So this year, my husband decided to grow cucumbers and watermelons inside large pots… will that work out since they are all bunched up together in the middle of the pots? 🤔 I normally do the veggie garden but he wanted to “help” this year 🤣 so far, they are growing great but I wonder how long that will work out, especially the watermelon plants. Well. Once big, they suck the life and water out of soil. Really like 1-2 melons per 20 gallon pot. 2-3 cucumbers per 20 gallon pot. And bush type are better. Water and feed often. I have the flowers on the cucumber plants (lots of them) but I don’t think I have those pollinators I’m assuming are bees. I’m on the 5th floor of my apt and on a busy street below. I’m thinking there not enough bees, can I self pollinate by cutting off the male flowers and rubbing them into the female flowers would that work the same way or use an a Q-tip may be from the male to the female flower. QUESTION, I have my cucumbers growing up a fence line that is currently pretty overwhelmed by Logan berries. There are some spaces I can leave the cucumber vines so they’re not tangled up with the berries, but not many. Do you think I will have an issue with disease because of this cluttered growing location? I’m hoping once the Logan berries are ripe I can cut them all back, but that may be a few weeks away and the cucumbers are on their way up the fence line pretty quickly.
You could but it depends what's in your area. If there isn't high leaf diseases pressure on the cukes, they should be fine.

Any mulch should be fine. I like shredded natural hardwood.

So this year, my husband decided to grow cucumbers and watermelons inside large pots… will that work out since they are all bunched up together in the middle of the pots? 🤔 I normally do the veggie garden but he wanted to “help” this year 🤣 so far, they are growing great but I wonder how long that will work out, especially the watermelon plants. Any advice is much appreciated! 😃
Well. Once big, they suck the life and water out of soil. Really like 1-2 melons per 20 gallon pot. 2-3 cucumbers per 20 gallon pot. And bush type are better. Water and feed often.

Parthenocarpic varieties won't need pollination to form fruit, you just won't get seeds from them. I forget the technical term for all female flowers.
I have the flowers on the cucumber plants (lots of them) but I don’t think I have those pollinators I’m assuming are bees. I’m on the 5th floor of my apt and on a busy street below. I’m thinking there not enough bees, can I self pollinate by cutting off the male flowers and rubbing them into the female flowers would that work the same way or use an a Q-tip may be from the male to the female flower. I read about a good "top dressing" for cucumber plants. I dont remember if it was you, and I am looking for the recipe. It really helped my cukes last year. Gary, do you know what I'm talking about?
I dont have a specific top dressing. I'll be going over it but water and really just any granular across the surface works well.
