Maybe we were supposed to play as ollie sometime on the game by the site of the tunnels and the crawling space in the end of the trail.
I think this explains why Chapter 3 was postponed at last minute when they couldn't figure out how to remove the bugs so had to do a rework to just avoid that entirely. I see other people saying that they hope it gets added back in but seeing how buggy it is, probably for the best it was just removed when it didn't look like it'd add anything to the lore and only pull away from the atmosphere of the Playcare location.
Sad this was scrapped, it looks really promising!

I think there is a very good chance that they could add it in the future the ride is almost finished and it probably would not take to long to add it back in so I’m going to keep my fingers crossed

Miss Delight’s move likes the dark deception’s golden watcher.
Golden Watcher literally doesn't move in the dark. It moves when the player is not looking at it, regardless of whether it is dark or not, now miss delight only moves in the dark regardless of whether the player is looking at her or not.
And also in this boat ride, there were once planned to have Bron, PJ Pug a Pillar and Mommy Long Legs during this scene but they were then putted into prototype hell room which we can see in out of bounds.

They probably felt like it was unscary and out of place. It does look like something that would be in security breach if you ask me

It was probably a bit buggy and discarded because of a time crunch on the bright side the ducky carts still made it into the final game at the start

I think they needed to release the game 1 or 2 months later to fix bugs and finish some parts, cause even if you aren't trying to find bugs, you will almost guaranteed find one
My guess is that it's supposed to be original way to get to DogDay's cell, you ride it while shooting the flare to incoming mini critters.

Это "путешествие " выглядит со стороны очень мирным, спокойным, скорость лодки маленькая, пространство замкнутое, даже побегать не где. Возможно, здесь планировался разговор с Поппи, потому что очень подходит эта локация под "милую беседу" или историю об этом месте.
Действительно жаль, что разработчики исключили эту идею, но также не ясно зачем ее оставили, для чего? Возможно для следующей главы, а возможно сроки поджимали, мы никогда этого не узнаем...
