Lyrics
Life is bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
The distance in your eyes
Oh no I've said too much
I set it up
That's me in the corner
That's me in the spotlight
Losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don't know if I can do it
Oh no I've said too much
I haven't said enough
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try
Every whisper
Of every waking hour I'm
Choosing my confessions
Trying to keep an eye on you
Like a hurt lost and blinded fool
Oh no I've said too much
I set it up
Consider this
Consider this
The hint of the century
Consider this
The slip that brought me
To my knees failed
What if all these fantasies
Come flailing around
Now I've said too much
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try
But that was just a dream
That was just a dream
That's me in the corner
That's me in the spotlight
Losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don't know if I can do it
Oh no I've said too much
I haven't said enough
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try
But that was just a dream
That was just a dream

chills every time I hear her do this one
the piano. her voice. ugh this cover is just so beautiful.
Tori is the best and this version is brilliant as usual.
I love Tori Amos. What an amazing talent. Thank goodness for Tori Amos.
She took this song to a whole new level! Amazing love tori amos
R.E.M. always gives me shivers. I have no words to describe what this one did to me.
Ive loved this version since i heard it while watching the movie Higher Learning. Even though it was a difficult scene, her music stuck with me.
REM may have written this song, but its Tori's now...I am absolutely speechless...
You are a model of freedom, you are beautiful and you are not ashamed of your sensuality. On the contrary, you know how to stage it with your magnificent voice and your inimitable talent. You are a queen.
What do u worship her??? Wise up
Glorious ❤
Amos could play chopsticks and scream Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da and I would cry.
Genius. The glorious NDT2 danced to her recently with choreography by the phenomenal Marco Goecke’s in his masterpiece “The Big Crying.” If you ever get a change to see it, run to it, breath it in, then remember that this kind of art comes rarely, and is to be cherished. Thank you Marco, I came to see NDT2 at Sadler’s Wells, Cambridge and Nottingham. I could not get enough of that programme. Bliss.
Shut up
❤️ This queen ❤️
Awesome. I thought I had all of Tori Amos' early albums, but I never heard her version of this song.

Some people enter your lives.... and the axis moves...
Higher Learning brought me here
If you get a chance guys go to see NDT2 dance to Marco Goecke’s “The Big Crying” where they dance to Tori and this piece, it’s phenomenal stuff. Thank you Marco. Your choreography is genius stuff. Big big thank you for The Big Crying. Bliss x
