My favourite witch fact (as a woman who works in the beer industry) is that women were the OG brewers long before it became a male dominated industry - and that they were subject to a smear campaign in the 1500s by men calling them witches so they could get their market share! Wild! Proud to be a beer witch today - and speaking of pride - congratulations on finally making that big purchase. You deserve it 🎉
Ahh my favourite witch in fiction has to be Kiki! Living the absolute dream of flying in the clouds, selling (and smelling) bread and pastries, and cats! 😍🥰 Also the chat between Kiki and Ursula about artists block always makes me emotional (as an artist myself and someone who’s struggled with my mental health) 🥺 just such a beautiful movie.
Your emotions are so infectious, Lucy! I have found myself smiling, tearing up, beaming with pride, etc with you! So, so, happy for you! I've followed you for quite a few years now, and you're absolutely my fave on the "tube." These vlogs have really made my week. Congrats on all your epic accomplishments! Cheers!
My favourite witch is Sabrina! The most wholesome and nostalgic series growing up. The relationship between Sabrina and her aunts just showed me growing up women and girls can do it all themselves 🧡
I will forever have a soft spot in my heart for our lovely witch Professor Sprout. Something extra magical about a witch with dirt under her nails and she's so underappreciated. ❤
I’m 21 weeks pregnant and every time I watch one of your videos I end up crying at one point 😂 I’ve been watching you for so many years and it’s just amazing to see you accomplish your goals. You’re truly glowing and it’s so amazing to witness ☺️
My witchy family member was my nan, I used to spend 3-4 days a week at her house during the school holidays. We would drink hot chocolate and watch charmed, and Sabrina the teenage witch. She was obsessed with cats and would exclusively wear jumpers with pictures of them. She knew every cat in the local town. She made the summer holidays so special and I miss her so much. (Not particularly witchy but we would also play poker and bet buttons as well as having an unlimited amount of fudge)
I don’t know that I have a specific favorite witch character, but I love the idea of witches being viewed more positively in this stage of history. A little bit of witchy magic and the joy that can inspire has probably been my favorite part of the “witch”. I’ve got a lot of great witch characters in mind and am really, really looking forward to getting to know yours in Rewitched 🖤
The most witchy person in our family was my aunty Jess (actually my great aunt). We have so many stories about her from being a ballerina to accidentally groping a sailor, getting stuck knickers up in a car, eating dog biscuits by accident. Yet always looking put together and pulling things off. She was like a fun, glitzy clumsy witch 🧙 ❤
My favourite fictional witch is Piper Halliwell because her strength as a sister, mother and wife are unmatched - definitely the Halliwell sister who has a special place in my heart (but I love them all!)
😂 you thought the pc was the highlight...but little did you know the Mona Lisa would be coming home with you later! It's truly trumped the computer I feel
You and Adam are so likable, it's such a joy to watch people my age online still have a silly sense of humor and not take themselves so seriously. Your content this week has been an extremely welcomed addition to my dry rot Sunday. Congratulations on the book!
My favorite witch is a German classic. Her name is Bibi Blocksberg. I loved her growing up because of the friendships she had and the adventures she went on and of course the lessons she learned about her power along the way. I used to listen to her stories when falling asleep as a child on cassettes. ❤❤ I am so excited for your adventure with Rewitched ❤❤
Lucy!!🥺🥹 your current bookish content is so so wholesome!🫶 I'd have to say my favourite fictional witch is Glinda the good witch from the wizard of oz. The film and storyline means a lot to me and reminds me of my nanna. I love the depiction that witches can and do have good intentions and should not be feared! It always brought me comfort knowing dorothy turned to glinda for support👠🌈
My favourite fictional Witch is Luna Lovegood ✨ She is a character that really resonated with me as a teenager reading the HP books for the first time. Her whimsical and quirky personality drew me in immediately and she’s a character that has stuck with me into adulthood, because she reminds me that it’s ok to be a little different to the crowd - individuality is beautiful! 💛
My favourite witch is Willow Rosenberg from Buffy! 🥰 Not only is she a super powerful badass, I loved how empathetic she was, how clever, and how (like all of us) she still had the same insecurities and social awkwardness we all struggle with in school. Plus, she was the first gay character I saw on screen who I could relate to. Like her saying "I think I'm kinda gay" was a life-changer ☺️
Mildred Hubble has always been my favorite witch because she reminds me so much of my childhood! I loved the Worst Witch when I was little! She’s clumsy and makes mistakes, but she never gives up. Watching her try her best was really comforting for me as a natural born perfectionist. Mildred's story brings back those memories of growing up and figuring things out through girlhood ❤
When I was growing up my hero was Hermione Granger! That witch knew how to work hard! Her inspirational work with SPEW! And the sacrifice she made is something that always chokes me up- especially when she wiped her parents memories of her to protect them. Her bravery and strength was so inspirational! X
The Worst Witch - Mildred Hubble, will forever be in my heart! I used to listen to the audiobooks in the car in primary school with my siblings and come autumn we used to make broomsticks and play witches outside after school. That started the love of witchy magic stories which will forever be my cosy read to this day! 🥰
My favourite witch has to be Piper Halliwell, I always felt like she was such a relatable character for all the ways she wasn’t perfect. It was very inspirational to me how she dealt with all the challenges she faced as a sister and a wife.
My favourite witchy moment was watching taylor sing who’s afraid of little old me! It felt like it called back to any woman who’s ever been feared because she’s too powerful 🧙
Luna Lovegood is by far my favourite witch. She's just living her best life, not hurting anyone, just being her unapologetic self whilst loving her friends and supporting them anyway she can. Plus she's just the nicest to any beast that she meets along the way. What more could you ask for from an absolute Queen
one of my favourite witches is from a book called bitterthorn !! she's initially a grumpy isolated witch who slowly learns to love and trust again when she falls for a woman who has been sent away to her castle. the whole book is so magical and beautiful and the ending is so heart warming. similar to what I imagine rewitched will be like !!
My favorite witch growing up was from the movie, Teen Witch (1989). I rewatched that movie SO many times! As a writer, watching all your recent long vlogs related to writing and your debut release has been so wonderful. How exciting! Congrats on this amazing experience. I'd love to see more of what your writing days look like.
Sabrina the teenage witch is one of my favourites, coming home from school and turning it straight on to forget about a rubbish school day is one of my strongest childhood memories, so much nostalgia when I see it now it just takes me right back ❤
Sabrina the teenage witch. It brings me back to my teenage years and the excitement of waiting for a new episode each week..I loved how she used her magic and the mischief in her magic x
My aunts are quite magical in their own way. They always seem to have the perfect essential oil for any mood, and their home is filled with colorful gemstones, tucked into every corner, each one chosen for its unique energy. There’s a quiet magic in everything they do, making the everyday feel that bit more enchanted. ✨I’ve already ordered the book, but I would still be thrilled to receive the american edition.
Haven't watched this one yet, but just want to say I'm so grateful you are documenting this part of your life. As someone who felt like they lost 'their magic' (especially in a professional 'what am I doing' way) for much of their 20s, seeing you live your dream is so exciting and also so encouraging. Thank you for sharing this part of your life!
My favorite witch growing up was Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I really enjoyed the movie and series. TGIF was the the best day of the week in the early 2000s 🪄
My dear old great nanny Doll who passed last year. Not only was she one hell of a witchy gal but always made crochetting granny square blankets look like some sort of Olympic sport. Plus she always said that the 5+ sugars that she’d have in her tea was the secret medicine to a long and happy life. Will forever miss the magic she brought to our weird and wonderful family🧡
When I was travelling in Central America I made friends with a girl who was training to be a witch. One evening in a hostel in Guatemala a handful of us spontaneously joined her for a full moon ritual. Felt like the ultimate witchy girlhood bonding experience 💕
Sabrina the teenage witch will always be number 1! Getting home from school and watching it with my grandad is one of the best childhood memories I have ✨ forever grateful for witchy magic in our world 🖤
My favourite witch (not fictional but still amazing!) was my best friend's mum growing up- they lived in an old falling-down cottage and she used to do tarot cards readings on the phone in the other room while we listened in to the fortunes, and she showed us about all sorts of plants for medicines, it all felt very magical. I miss her!
Oh my goodness Lucy - you both need the green suit with waistcoat in your lives! Adam looked so good in it - very much his vibe & super for his colouring!! Blew is away! The "when we have kids" comment was lovely too! 😍
I'm obsessed with the US cover for Rewitched. I think my fave fictional witch is Bonnie Bennett from TVD, the way she enunciates her spellcasting is just -chef kiss- Spine tingles everytime!! She also takes no crap from anyone and is always there for her friends and fam
Favourite witch will always be Sabrina! I rewatched the whole series not long ago and it was still as magical as it was when I watched it when I was a kid. I love that the series looks at so many different kinds of love and how incredible some of the outfits are.
My favourite witchy character of all time is Sabrina the Teenage Witch played by Melissa Joann Heart. This was my first introduction to a witchy character when I was a child. The show was absolutely hilarious and of course we have to mention her talking cat Salem! The nostalgia of this show is something that can never be recreated!
My fave witch is Winifred Sanderson. The ultimate babe, hates the summer and is an Autumn gal through and through. ‘What a glorious morning, makes me sickkkk’ is a popular saying of mine x
Watching the weekly vlogs feels like facetiming with a best friend, thanks for inviting us in. My favorite fictional witch is Diana Bishop from a discovery of witches. The cozy academic vibes, the love of history, the cast of characters around her, just what else could I hope for?
Favorite fictional witch: I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Samantha from Bewitched. I used to watch the show with my mom and just loved the cute quirky magic! I was really excited when I heard the title of your book as it certainly reminded me one of my favorites!! It is so amazing watching you last few videos, it is so heartwarming watching someone achieve a long worked for dream, wishing you all the best 💜
Your foray into long weekly vlogs has truly been the biggest treat this month 😊 down in my heart my favourite witch haa to be Sabrina the teenage witch. I used to religiously get those books from the library but they never had the full set 😅
Granny Weatherwax from Discworld is my favorite witch - she doesn't rely on flashy spells but uses her deep understanding of people to solve problems - love her!!
It's so hard to pick a favourite witch! But I would say Tiffany Aching is the witch that made me believe in magic. All the small mundane things that aren't fireworks and sparkles but the things that just need to Get Done and require a bit of extra help. Such an original idea and she has always stuck with me!
First-time commenter, long time watcher. Hello from Aus! First of all, its been so special to watch you as you go through this new journey! So happy for you beyond words!! My witchy story is something from my childhood. My neighbour had a daughter in her 30s when I was young (10 years or under) and she would always dress in black. One day she told me and my little brother that she was a witch and she would create all these little potions whenever we would go over to see her. Growing up she would always refer to herself as a witch and even now that I am turning 30 I see her every now and again and always have the best memories of being a child and being filled with wonder and so much imagination. So thankful for these little magical moments to look back on. Thankyou for reminding me of them ❤
My favourite witchy memory is of my Auntie, she loves everything witches and Halloween. I remember her lending me her copy of Hocus Pocus and falling in love with the movie! I didn’t see her very much but loved going to her house to look at her 90s kitchen witch that hung above the fridge! 🧙♀️🎃🕸️🐈⬛⭐️
My favourite fictional witch is Professor McGonagall- she's brilliant, so smart and sassy! My own personal witchy touch is that me and my partner adopted a very nervous cat in January, and 9 months on, he never leaves my side- I like to think of him as my little witchy familiar ✨ huge congrats on the build up to Rewitched coming out, and best of luck with writing the second book!
My lovely lovely Auntie Jill is who comes to mind right away, she was the coolest woman I’ve ever known! She was super into crystals and horoscopes, She left home when she was quite young and moved to Great Yarmouth to work in a sweet shop and be a Tarot card reader. For my childhood she worked in a jewellery shop and taught me to knit and bake when we’d stay with her at the weekend. I can’t quite put my finger on WHY she felt so witchy, but there was something about her that just felt magical ❤ she passed away from cancer way too young, but she’ll never stop being a true witchy icon to me!
Sabrina the teenage witch was such a great tv show for our family. It got my twin daughters through stressful school years and it was lovely sitting down being taken into a magical world away from reality. Iconic show and we can’t wait to read your book which will also be iconic! Xx
My favourite witch is Samantha from the tv show Bewitched. That show was my JAM. I loved the humour and the shortness of the episodes as it was very ADHD friendly for me. I still watch it here when I’m having dinner and if I wanna escape to my childhood for a moment ❤
My favourite witch is Samantha from Bewitched because of the comedy element of the show. I loved the way her nose twitched when she was casting a spell. I really want to read your book. I have followed you since you moved into your home and watched all your renovations. I am so happy for your literary success and wish you all the best for your future, both with your publishing career and for your forthcoming wedding. Thank you.
Heroine Granger is one of my favorite witches because she was always true to herself and kept the boys in check lol. Wiser than her peers and "hoping to do some good in the world!" So excited to read your book and happy for you in this milestone!
I grew up on Hocus Pocus and cried when I heard there was going to be a second one. Soooo Winifred is my favourite Witch, I do in fact have her famous line of “Oh look, another glorious morning.. makes me SICK!” decor on my desk at work 🤭 You’re such a lovely and cozy person Lucy! 🥰🍁📖
My favourite witch is Piper Halliwell from Charmed. Have been obsessed with Charmed since as long as I can remember and rewatch it every autumn. Piper was my favourite because she was similar to me in personality. Always feel very nostalgic watching it, my school friends and I would watch it weekly and discuss at school the next day.
My fave fictional witches is obviously Sally and Gillian Owens. Just magical! Can't wait to let new cosy witchy vibes into my life when your book comes out eeek! So happy for you and thanks for coming back to TH-cam ❤
My favorite witch is definitely Sabrina, always loved the relationship with her aunts (and Harvey of course). Rewatching the series always helps me relax on stressful days
My favourite witch is Tabitha from Bewitched. I loved the way she wiggled her nose!! 😊 Also really love Elphaba from Wicked. The weekly vlogs are great - so good to see all the behind the scenes things involved in the writing/publishing process. 🥰
My favorite witch has always been Kiki from Kiki’s Delivery Service! I grew up watching Miyazaki movies and her journey into adulting always moved and inspired me. She has such a great moral compass, empathy and a fun spirit. I can’t wait to see how your novel unfurls!! And since I’m here, congrats on your big life moment! You look fabulous as always but you’re absolutely shining right now 🎉 so happy to see you making moves and kicking butt
Hi Lucy! Loved this weeks vlog 🩷 my favourite witch character is Manon Blackbeak in the throne of glass series! I just love how her character develops and she has to lean into her instincts rather than her upbringing and has this inner conflict through the books! Classic baddie becomes goodie scenario 😬🩷 really excited to read rewitched!
Samantha from Bewitched has to be my favorite fictional witch! She was just so sweet and I have so many warm and lovely memories of watching her with my mom and sister when I was young.❤
Love watching your videos, I'm so much older than you (44) lol but you bring a ray of sunshine to an anxious mind. My daughters off to uni next weekend to study English Literature and I'm so pleased that there are lovely, genuine, influential ladies out there like you. Can't wait to get past this month of uni prep and birthdays to buy your book x
My favourite witch is Hermione Granger, I love her! My mum made a Hermione costume for me for World Book Day when I was a kid, I still remember wearing it. I just loved her, it was nice to see someone who loved reading and as a book loving kid I felt validated
I’m the witchy person in my little family, I was raised by a witchy mum and I’ve believed in magics my whole life. Whimsy and mystical creature will always win my heart. I’ve been watching you since you had like 50 followers and I’m so proud of how far you’ve come. Congratulations on everything thing you’ve achieved and I wish you all the success in everything you do 🩷🩷
@@LucyJaneWood Thank you so much! My comments keep deleting when I say where to get in touch, I'll try subtly? X - pixierie I - pixiethecandyflossgoff If this works thank you so much
My favourite witchy memory/moment (for the giveaway) was that, when I was little, I used to make potions for my parents to eat… or pretend to eat. But one day, I put a concoction in front of my dad, and it was a pile of branches, petals, puddle water and… rabbit droppings. My dad shouted, I cried 😂 I never made a potion again. Congratulations on your debut novel, Lucy, and good luck for the deadline for your second! 🧙🏼✨🪄🧚♀️
Lucy, I’m just loving having your videos back on so much!! My little witchy fact is that my great grandma apparently used to indulge in a bit of Roma magic like tarot reading but also some darker stuff that I never managed to get more detail on from my family. 🫢✨✨
My mum introduced me to my favourite witch of all time, which is Sam from Bewitched. I grew up watching it and she holds such a special place in my heart, it is so nostalgic and makes me think of my mum every time I watch it.
Professor McGonagall is my favorite witch! She is a fierce lady that doesn’t back down to anyone and I love her green robes 😊. Congratulations on the upcoming publication of your book! I can’t wait to read it!
My favourite fictional witch would have to be Meg from the books “Meg and Mog” about a clumsy witch and her stripy cat. Her clonky brogues, patchwork bedding, and the fact that every spell she makes goes terribly wrong was just fantastic to me as a child. 😄💫
My favourite fictional witch is Cassie Nightingale from The Good Witch. I love how she always uses her powers for good and the show itself is just the ultimate cosy autumn watch!! ✨
my favourite witchy story is that when I was younger I started getting these awful migraines (often with weather changes) and my Mum would always make up stories for me while i was sick in bed that it was because we were witches that we got them (she often had migraines too) - that we could predict weather changes, that headaches often meant summer storms or heat waves coming. Even now, every time I get migraines i think about it and it makes me smile to myself that its because the women in my family are witches.
My favourite witchy gal has got to be Sally Owens. You best believe the moment I see a crunchy leaf on the pavement, Practical Magic is going on the telly ✨ can’t wait to see your book on the shelves this month!
This Darling Desi video is what got me to excited to read your book!!✨ I absolutely adored reading it so much! All the fall witchy vibes were perfect for October and when I heard you also had a TH-cam channel I geeked out and subscribed I have been enjoying your content! Is book two you're working on a continuation of Rewitched? Either way very excited to hear more about it. 🌙✨🍄 🍂
I have always been in love with the story of Mother Shipton. She was so vengeful (and arguably rightly so… she was treated awfully), as a child I was terrified of her but that opened me up to so many other spooky things ❤. Congratulations on your book Lucy. I can’t wait to read it xx
My favorite witch is Hermione! It feels overdone but she's smart, brave, a bit too intense, and also generally just a badass who isn't afraid to speak her mind and stand up for what's right. Congrats on the book!! Can't wait to read it.
My favourite witch has to be Meg (the children’s book witch, with Mog the cat) honestly because if there was a book in my childhood that made me realise reading could be such a fun experience is has to be this. Meg is simply iconic and doesn’t change herself for anyone ✨
Favourite witch HAS to be Aggie from Halloweentown! First of all, it's Debbie Reynolds, and second of all, I love how she embraces the quirks of Halloweentown and wants to encourage Marnie to be who she truly is. It's my fave Halloween film and I just love it!
Elphaba and Manon Blackbeak are my favourite fictional witches - with an honourable mention for Hermione Granger as she was very relatable to me as a child!
First off, I've been a quiet watcher for so long and I just want to say I am so proud to follow you along on your journey thus far! Secondly, my favorite witch is hands down Bonnie Bennett ✨ She's honestly such a real badass and always down to help her friends and family when they're in trouble - which is about 99.9% of the time 🤭
my favourite childhood witch was Lilli the witch - I loooved the German book series by Knister! Lilli had the best red hair, a pet dragon, and a grumpy mentor and she was cheeky, clever, fun, and kind and would rather read in her spellbook than do homework.
Late because I’ve been away but my favourite fictional witch is Hermione Granger. Ever since I first read HP when I was 7 years old she taught me girls don’t have to be the prettiest or popular to be badasses! Books are cool and there’ll always be someone who accepts you for exactly who you are you just have to find them (or get locked in the loo with a troll and let them come to you) 😂 congratulations for yesterday! And special mention to Adam the woodland prince in that green suit 🤌 I just know whatever you two pick your wedding is gonna be so cool! X
I'm loving these weekly vlogs!! They put me in the perfect autumnal Sunday chill mood. Ps my favourite fictional witch has to be Cassie Nightingale from Good Witch - a series I rewatch every year because it is perfect for a cozy time! X
Honestly, well done Lucy - so so proud of you and you should be so proud of everything you have achieved... that mac really is a beautiful gem! what an achievement! I'd have to say my favourite witch has got to be Hermione - absolutely love the head strong, independent, main character energy ❤
Adam beaming with pride is the most heartwarming moment 💖
He's the best egg 🥰
❤
Makes me so emotional!!! So sweet

Helloooo! You've won a signed and personalised copy of Rewitched, woohoo 🥳 Can you let me know the best way to get in touch with you please? x
“Pocket full of chocolate” in Adams accent will always live rent free in my head.
That green suit is everything!!! Lucy your wedding will be iconic!
It looked so good! Haha Im not sure about iconic, but it'll definitely be right up our street 🥰
My favourite witch is Willow from Buffy 🙌 she went from such a timid, insecure girl to a powerhouse of a woman without ever losing who she is!
I don’t know that I have a specific favorite witch character, but I love the idea of witches being viewed more positively in this stage of history. A little bit of witchy magic and the joy that can inspire has probably been my favorite part of the “witch”. Gosh that mood board vision board made me feel emotional. Honestly. You really do deserve happiness and good things!x
😂 you thought the pc was the highlight...but little did you know the Mona Lisa would be coming home with you later! It's truly trumped the computer I feel

Adam, "does the Louvre know?" I love a quick wit lol 😂😂😂
Your engagement ring is so woodland fairy to me so Adam being in the woodland prince suit for your wedding makes so much sense
You channeling young albus dumbledor with the suits. Love them
Haha this is the best comparison, it's so accurate

I absolutely love Matilda ❤ The sheer joy it still gives me as a 39 year old. Just so magical x
When I was travelling in Central America I made friends with a girl who was training to be a witch. One evening in a hostel in Guatemala a handful of us spontaneously joined her for a full moon ritual. Felt like the ultimate witchy girlhood bonding experience 💕
Adam absolutely rocks a green suit - he looked so handsome
I’ve loved all of the videos you’ve posted recently. So very pleased for you and all the success you’re having. It’s a joy to watch!
I freaking loveeeeee Darling Desi! So glad you found her!
Wiser than her peers and "hoping to do some good in the world!"
So excited to read your book and happy for you in this milestone!
I grew up on Hocus Pocus and cried when I heard there was going to be a second one. Soooo Winifred is my favourite Witch, I do in fact have her famous line of “Oh look, another glorious morning.. makes me SICK!” decor on my desk at work 🤭
You’re such a lovely and cozy person Lucy!
My favourite witch is meg from the meg and mog books
Lucy, Congratulations on 200K!!🎉 Your hair turned out fabulous. ❤❤❤
I know that feeling, Lucy! My brain feels like an overflowing cuppa, constantly x
That sums it up so perfectly, I cannot stem the flow of overthinking 😂
Love watching your videos, I'm so much older than you (44) lol but you bring a ray of sunshine to an anxious mind. My daughters off to uni next weekend to study English Literature and I'm so pleased that there are lovely, genuine, influential ladies out there like you. Can't wait to get past this month of uni prep and birthdays to buy your book x
My great grandma was a psychic! I think she had the best witchy vibes🪄🧙🏽

Hi Lucy - loving the weekly vlogs!! Loving all the cosy autumn vibes. Best of luck with the book - can’t wait to read it!!
