Thank you for making this video! I located my drain plug, loosened with plyers, it drained the radiator and the reservoir, tighten back, then added antifreeze to reservoir. Done! Easy as that! I have a 2015 gmc terrain v4 2.4 engine.
Loosen it at much as you can. You should be able to feel when you can’t loosen anymore and then pull it out. You shouldn’t have to turn it very much or at least mine didn’t. It all depends on how much thread is on the plug.
so i drained my coolant and filled it back up and a day later there is leakage from the drain plug. Was I supposed to use some silicone or gasket or something to get a good seal?
You might go back and check. You might not have gotten a good seal on the plug maybe try tightening more, otherwise I recommend getting a new plug from the auto parts store.

How do you get the drain plug back in

Do you just keep unscrewing or unscrew and pull

Nice chat but you never showed the peacock itself is or looks like. Remember, there are idiots like me looking for help!!
Thanks for the feedback.
Probably should hire out your coolant change if you think a car has a peacock. 😁
@@LTVoyager What does language have to do with working on a car? Troll.
@@johnnyhavens3087 I’m sorry you are too thick to understand a joke. The smiley gives it away to all but the most dense.
@@LTVoyager Odd joke man, carry on.
Did you ever do the flush
No never flushed just drain and fill.
@@thisthat8222 oh alright and I’m coming up on 94k miles so it will need to be done soon but I did see where the drain was so no worries.
What if nothing is coming out after opening
There should be some coming out, if not there likely wasn’t any in there. Add some antifreeze and see if any comes out.
thx
Thank you
How do you get the plug back in
Reverse of how it was removed. Stick it in and turn it clockwise.
