Trip up to 48 on the Schindler 7000's [Marriott Marquis NY]

I wanted to do this for a while! The express trip up to The View is awesome. Express all the way up through the atrium, then into the top of the shaft where there's no sign that you are just above a 45 story atrium! I love it!
Sadly, the panel in Car B was re-locked. I never managed to check on Car C.

Actually, Marriott considers the Marquis elevators an attraction. I've seen people come in and, rather obviously, stay for the elevators. Marriott never gives them or me any trouble, so yeah, this is a good place to joy-ride!

That WAS something to watch (the 48-story elevator you took).
I think they're 1400FPM, if I remember right (mentioned in another video elsewhere).
I guess I know where I can joy-ride some in NYC.
I hear a lot of people go there just to do that, so they probably don't care about you doing so.
