Texas is in a really unique situation as far as having the #1 football prospect in the country for the '21 and '23 classes on their team. The fact of them both playing quarterback creates an advantage for them that the sport has never seen before. If this were Texas Holdem they would certain be holding a pair of Aces.
Excited to see Arch start this week this is huge for our QB2s experience. Excited to see Quinn be back for SEC play next week. Another great week for the young guys to get some more experience before conference play. Let’s get it! Hook’Em 🤘🏽
Graham proved he is a solid closer at RB, he ran with violence. These are likely his last reps at RB ever and it looks like he plans to maximize them 💪🤘
No reason to play any injured player in this game. Far better to game develop the support players than to risk proven rotational starters. The real Season starts with the RRS when every game becomes critically meaningful.
So regarding injuries, we may not hear what exactly is wrong with players, but we will probably hear the extent of how long you'll be out. I know firsthand from when I played college ball at the start of fall camp. We all signed HIPAA forms whether or not we wanted our injury diagnosis public, if we sign no our injuries can't be given then. The only thing that was reported was the severity and how long we were out.
Money Muhammad shows signs of being injured multiple times in the UTSA game, also. Muhammad is a definitely one of the most important and valuable players on the Longhorns team. I actually think, if he remains healthy, he will be the best Cornerback in the SEC this season. "Hook Em"
@@OnTexasFootball The other issue is looking forward to an NFL career. Never going to be truly 'Healthy''. He has issues with finishing seasons. This is his contract season.
I think it's a masterful move by Sark to start Manning in place of Ewers. He's reminded Ewers that all of his goals are still on the table, while also elevating the stakes for Ewers' play in the biggest remaining games: GA, OU and A+M. Sark's approach is likely to result in Ewers returning either for Mississippi State or Oklahoma very hungry for proving himself as a competitor and proving to the world that he deserves to be the starter at Texas. We've seen before how strongly he performs after coming back from an injury. I'm already looking forward to his return for SEC play.
Lol I doubt Sark wasn't thinking about what you wrote. He simply is allowing his starters that are hurt/injury to rest before conference play. It's a long season.
No disrespect intended but I think you might’ve missed the mark on this take. Injured starters sitting on a throwaway game, especially in an unprecedentedly long season, doesn’t mean Sark is playing mind games with his players. It’s be contradictory to the culture he’s trying to maintain.
Arch is not only the future he’s the present. If he is the best QB on the team he should be starting regardless if whether or not Quinn’s a first round pick. See CJ Stroud
Quinn has earned the job and gives Texas the best chance to win in the big games against better competition. Think OU and GA. Arch is really good but he hasn't faced any adversity yet. Quinn has. Experience counts.
Quinn would have seen that edge pressure that they sacked Arch on. Arch may be better in some aspects, but Quinn has the experience and has done well this year, feeling and avoiding pressure.
We love you QE3

Yes. This is a huge week for our QB room.
Looking forward to Owens getting more reps in the 3rd
Did my eyes deceive me? Did the Aggie Gerry throw up a Hookem at the end of the video 😂
Where can we hear this media availability?
They do not publish it. It is via zoom only to media members.

Do you mean Gardner?? If so, I agree.
@@BrandonRaulstonMaybe Gibson?
@@kerrycole5162 I was thinking he meant Gardner, the transfer back we got from SMU bc he said “these are likely his last reps at RB”
@@kerrycole5162 Gibson will indeed be a great back tho!
@@BrandonRaulstonYes, that makes sense. Thanks.

He should come back for MSU. Needs to keep his game rhythm.
I agree with this, so long as he’s healthy.

Texas fans gassing arch he is still a freshman he will have his growing pains

Playing your backup when your starter is hurt is definitely 4D chess

A masterful move? He's literally starting the 2nd QB on the depth chart.
I love ya Arch, but i need a 3 int game so I wont have to hear your name the rest of the year.
The best open secret revealed!

Hush..
Casual take smh
Quinn is better than arch as of right now experience matters. If arch was better than Quinn he would’ve been named the starter first game of the year
Quinn would have seen that edge pressure that they sacked Arch on. Arch may be better in some aspects, but Quinn has the experience and has done well this year, feeling and avoiding pressure.
