Football needs to come up with a stat that recognizes the difference between an interception and a catchable ball which is deflected by the receiver and then caught by the defense. The latter is not an interception. It's much like the difference between a wild pitch and a passed ball. One is the fault of the pitcher and the other is the fault of the catcher.
