Was once. Was. Not anymore. Just e-waste scrap and engines that fall apart after 80,000 kilometers. I've driven them all, from 1 to the Golf 5 TDI with 105 PS. Mine is now 21 years old, has 300,000 km on the clock and is one of the last proper, indestructible engines. You can't do that with the new ones. And then this unspeakable Golf 8 - terrible! No, the VW and Golf era is over for me. Unfortunately. The “carpet department” at VW are just eco-fascists and money-grubbers.
@@binflydushy Yes, I have. I firmly reject this Golf. It gives away too much, too many bells and whistles, too many useless electronics that can break, and if you know VW, it breaks! And if it does, it's disproportionately expensive to replace or after 8-10 years it's no longer available! VW is not sustainable in this respect and perhaps doesn't want to be. See the suffering with the TSI engines and their “ bicycle chain” as a timing chain. VW is only interested in profit and no longer in the “(Volks)people's (Wagen)car.
This is really impressive!
50 anniversary is beautiful!
Such an ugly car. One thought it couldn't get any uglier. We were wrong. And those rims..! Yikes.
Amazed to see most of the process is now machines! I'm sure a robot could stick the badge on too, sad times. What jobs will be left??
The “carpet department” (Management) at VW as eco-fascists and money-grubbers.
still they havn't deployed AI fully yet, that can do more especially for the office dept at VW
VW Golf best ❤

@@UlrichGronauDid you even test drive a Golf 8? It is so much more comfortable with DSG Gearbox and nice seats

how long does it take to produce one car?
About 18-20 hours.
they have been producing the same golf with little refresh for decades...japanese and korean rivals offer better cars
This is old model..!
the golf 8 isn't "old" lmao
Uh, looks like MK8’s to me.
@@MichaelSwanson-j9l yes, but this is not the newest anymore, the newest is now the Mk8.5
@@srminimi9171 it’s still 8th generation, just like the MK7.5 is a part of the 7th generation. How difficult is this to understand?
The car that was painted bright blue was the VW Touran…
