    ahhhh drilling joists, used to first fix timber frame new builds in the 90's, have spent many a cold day drilling hundreds of holes in joists, we would drill through the outside timber frame skin and poke copper through, it was all copper back then. looks like a good job, good luck wiv it.

      @@plumbingFC so what we did feeding it through wall is nothing new then by looks of it 😂 I bet it was a lot harder all in copper…also did you find you was pulling wood chipping out your hair for bloody days after 😂👍

    I let the smoke out of my core drill, plumber I was working with had the Milwaukee hole hawg, we used that to drill a couple core holes and they drilled quicker than the core drill would. Monster drill, dunno if i could justify the expense but it’s a proper drill bruv

      @ I’m a chippy by trade, don’t have much call for it. Ripped a 110mm core through that 9” wall tho! Could buy a 36v mitre saw for same sort of price, that’d make its money a lot quicker

    Fascinating video, especially feeding copper through joists, I don’t know how you remember what each pipe does is have to put labels and red tape on to remember

      @kierenhudson6331 4 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      22mm pipe is radiator feed and return. Most radiators are bi-directional valves.
      The 2 smaller ones are hot and cold water
      Gas supply is always 22mm too and identified easily 👌

      @ he mentions a by pass pipe, what’s that for?

      @kierenhudson6331 3 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      @michaelbolt4530 I'll have a look back. If I'm not mistaken it's the full loop for the boiler but a general bypass is for if there's a fault

      @@michaelbolt4530 it can get confusing, the hot is easy as that’s the copper pipe, it can get confusing but honestly when your on the site and working with the pipes you start to learn which is which.
      By pass is for boiler so when the zone valves shut down and the pump overruns, it can return to the boiler on a loop

    Thanks for the insight into first fixing Luke, but I still don’t understand how you keep track of what pipe is what, do you have to know which pipe is which at every radiator? I’m looking forward to the underfloor heating going in. 👍
