@Nivit Mishra Arjun was no mythological character lol 🤣🤣🤣. And sleep as we know today isn't some unconquerable thing. There are many many people even today who sleep for less than 3hrs, every day, 365 days a year, and live perfectly well with the best health. Sleep, hunger, thirst, etc can be conquered. The western ideology has just started to see all the comforts as a compulsion without which we can't live. That's not been the case in India.

A king has to rule, has to protect and stay with family and also for larger interest of nation and performing different sacrifices he has go for many conquests and wage many wars. Pandu waged conquests but failed to provide time for family. To give time to family he had to go for forest and not able to serve as King to his people. Even if some one has ‘potential’ to be great in all three role, it is impossible to ‘perform’ and be best or on top of it at all three role at the same time. So he asked Dharma for a son who would follow justice and be just King, he asked for a powerful son from the wind God who would stay with family and always protect and fight for family and third he prayed Indra for one year for a warrior son with many qualities such a strong, beautiful etc who would protect the Kingdom, earn fame prosperity to Kuru Kingdoms. When Kunti gave birth to Arjuna there was a prophecy made declaring the son would be famous and he would earn great prosperity to Kurus, perform three sacrifice, subjugate many kingdom make Kurus great. He chose a unarmed Krishna over Narayani sena and asked him to become his charioteer and guide. During Kurushetra he had to face a brutal choice - to fight for the cause of injustice or not? If he chooses to fight he had to fight against the Kuru Kingdom , his own relatives, his own people, his own army. Remember Indraprastha and Hastinpaur again became one unit after yudisthira lost in dice game. Which means he had to destroy his own dream to be the fame of Kurus and fight against them. He could no longer carry his fathers dream. He hoped for a peace deal even after remembering the insult his beloved princess faced only for a greater interests of Kurus which gets denied. A fear of causing sin of killing his own grips him and he drops his gandiva only to pick up and fight after his conversation with beloved friend Krishna. He fought the war half hearted way, hoping Duryodhana would realize his folly and stop the war and in guilt of letting his elder brother Yudisthira staking everything and also not able to protect the dignity of his wife. During the war displayed some of the greatest example of archery show when he gave water to fallen Bhisma, and shot arrows to help him keep his head straight, the way he killed Jayadratha by sending his head to the lap of his father by shooting arrows one after another. Under Krishna’s guidance he fulfills the promise he had given to Bhima, to Draupadi to avenge her insult and helped his elder brother Yudisthira gain the Kuru Kingdom again. But he ends up losing almost all his sons during the war. He again toiled hard criss-crossing the entire subcontinent to make his elder brother Yudisthira the emperor of India. Pandavas performed the Aswamedha Sacrifice. With this he completes the dream of his father, he fulfills the hope his mother. The prophecy that was made to Kunti when she was going through labor was fulfilled. Kurus became a powerful and prosperous nation again but not a happy state after his almost entire army got annihilated and may women became widows in the war. Not every thing can be under control, but through out his life he was happy, positive and single minded towards his mission. What we should conclude from this is to not stop sleeping after this "practice in the dark" Here resembles that even if time is tough you should keep practicing to make yourself better.
Hold on…..this lesson was taught from Bheema … Bheema was eating in the dark , since he had love for food …Arjun approaches him and ask that how his hand is reaching mouth even in dark ….and not even food grains dropping … Bheema says that moth is in its position and hand has to be taught to how to reach close to mouth… By listening to words Of Bheema , Arjun learn lesson and he started to practice in dark of shooting arrows…
Gudakesha meaning - Conqueror of Sleep. Sleep here is meant as Ignorance. Obviously everyone needs rest. He just realized that with consistent practice, he can even hit a bullseye in the dark.
Arjun was great really great he always inpires me a lot whenever i face dificutly in life and think about escapism i always think about arjuna and it gives me courage and motivation to fight. 02/12/2024 Monday 09:13PM

There's no doubt that he isn't a great warrior. I don't think its possible for people of kalyug to imitate people of dwaparyug

Unnecessary, you can have what you believe to yourself. Don't have to enforce it on others. For me Karn is the best archer & warrior as he defeated other Pandavas but spared their lives. He was a fine human too. What we can learn is to take the good quality of each individual & leave the bad behind. Like Arjun didn't have a balance he wasn't a very good human, amazing warrior yes. So we can take dedication as a value from him. That's it.

Isn't it impractical in today's world, not sleeping and only doing what you're obsessed with, yes we can do it 2 or 3 days, but maybe not more. What is your opinion about focusing in these era?
Dude its not coming at one night, firstly make body to demand lesser, conquer your needs, then decide whether it(your work) is worth of leaving other things(lust, love, affection, hate, anger, pride, relaxation, desires etc) or not. Then only your body will do it. Dedication is nothing, it is just opting priority. Hare Krishna😊😊😊🚩

Take proper sleep dear.... Humans of today's world can't work properly without sleeping I also used to thought.... actually I heard somewhere that if you wanna go ahead of others you should cut down your sleeping hours 😂 But believe me no one knows your body better than you :: maybe meditation can help you m also practicing it for about 1.5 year it makes your mind more focused and can also help you in decreasing your sleeping hours Best of luck for your future

Not true, he wasn't jealous of Eklavya. He didn't even know him, the day he met him , that very day his Guru Dron asked Eklavya his thumb which he happily gave. Arjun was shocked at this & questioned his guru for this as well. Only later after several years he understood why his guru had to do that. I don't even like Arjuna much but you got to hand it to him, he had fantastic dedication. He was extremely hard working.

Hold on…..this lesson was taught from
Bheema …
Bheema was eating in the dark , since he had love for food …Arjun approaches him and ask that how his hand is reaching mouth even in dark ….and not even food grains dropping …
Bheema says that moth is in its position and hand has to be taught to how to reach close to mouth…
By listening to words Of Bheema , Arjun learn lesson and he started to practice in dark of shooting arrows…
That is BR Chopra Mahabharat....
Which is to make that scene interesting, rest fact is slightly different....

I know karn is one of the best archer in Mahabharata but you must accept Arjun is greatest archer of all time
Karn 😒
Unnecessary, you can have what you believe to yourself. Don't have to enforce it on others. For me Karn is the best archer & warrior as he defeated other Pandavas but spared their lives. He was a fine human too.
What we can learn is to take the good quality of each individual & leave the bad behind. Like Arjun didn't have a balance he wasn't a very good human, amazing warrior yes. So we can take dedication as a value from him. That's it.

Arjuna was the only character who was born for a purpose, a dream to fulfill and a mission to complete
His father Pandu was an awesome king and just started his career as King, did few conquests and won prosperity for Kurus. He was chosen by Bhisma and he was the one to carry Bhisma’s dream to make the Kurus great among the subcontinent.
But before the plane takes off, it crashes with Pandu getting cursed and subsequently leaving for forests. He asked Kunti’s help to getting heir. He chose the Gods in a way that shows the problem he might have faced during his rule.
Now since Pandu had prayed Indra for one year it is possible that he had passed his own unfulfilled dream to Arjuna and that was metaphorically stated by prophecy.
Arjuna was possibly very close to Pandu since both were archer and Pandu lovingly gave him the name ‘Krishna’.
After Pandu’s death his mother Kunti tried her best to make sure Arjuna carries her late husband’s dream.
Even if she publicly stated she loved Sahadeva more, she pinned her hope on Arjuna to fulfill the dreams of her late husband,
Arjuna knew this - the dream of his late father as well as what his mother Kunti expect him to perform.
For that he toiled, tried his best and kept learning. It was that dream that kept him motivated.
Drona found his favorite pupil in him and Bhisma found some one who would fulfill his dream.
Possibly in Arjuna Bhisma found himself.
Opposite way Arjuna tried to find his beloved late father in Bhisma and Drona which is why we see Arjuna was very attached to Bhisma and Drona.
He learned how to shoot in both hand, how to shoot in day and night etc.
It was that dream that kept on moving, making one after another sacrifice for family.
He has to make his elder brother the King, he has fill up the Kuru land with prosperity and fame.
For that he has to accept even sharing of the princess whose hand he won and suddenly fallen love with.
He led many conquests including the famous northern conquests which many researchers believe was near central Asia and Tibet.
It was that conquests where he earned huge prosperity and made Yudisthira the emperor.
But at the same time he never disrespected or enslaved the defeated Kings.
Drupada found an eligible suitor for his daughter in Arjuna even after being defeated by him.
For this he was famous for good conduct even among the all Khsatriya society.
I could remember Puru’s famous dialogue to Alexander for being treated as King.
He along with Krishna defeated Nagas, Devas in Khandava prastha and it was his friendship with Mayasura that made him to built Maya Bhavaan - the famous Palace of Indraprastha - the jewel in the crown.
It made Kuru people fill with prosperity because through this Yudisthira made many charity to bramhins and other people of Indraprastha.
But in sequence of action, Yudisthira ends up staking every thing before his eyes to Kouravas what ever he had won through his hard work and had to face banishment for 12 years.
He prayed to Shiva and won Pashupata Astra, trained hard himself in heaven under supervision of his father Indra and other Gods, learns different weapons and also trained himself in music and dancing.
During 13th year of exile he dressed himself as eunuch Brihannalla and taught princess Uttara dancing and music that he learned earlier in heaven under Gandharva Chitrasena.
He was the teacher of Uttara, a friend of Uttara and a servant of Uttara.
When he revealed his identity he took her as daughter keeping purity of the relationship he shared with her.
He had also trained his friend Satyaki and his friend Krishna’s son Pradyumna.
He had also trained Abhimanyu and fives sons of Draupadi.
So it was not that he just learned, he shared the knowledge as well.
Among all he trusted his friend Krishna the most. He idolized Krishna and wanted to be as famous as Krishna. Itw as Krishna who kept him motivated.
But he didn’t compete with him, rather he tried to learn from him.
There are many characters, may had wisdom, many had qualities but none of them had the dream, motivation or mission as big as Arjuna.
He kept pushing himself hard and ultimately reached the peak of the mountain.
His life resonates with the following quote -
‘The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep. ’
Isn't it impractical in today's world, not sleeping and only doing what you're obsessed with, yes we can do it 2 or 3 days, but maybe not more. What is your opinion about focusing in these era?
It's more about focus and dedication. Nothing to do with sleep.
Today also there r several people who have conquered sleep...there r workshops conducted. ...how they utilize that time is their prerogative.....
You are right 😎 it's not practical and even if you do it you will have some or the other I'll affects on your health.
