Dive into the despair of the Underwater world.
Go, in the person of an unknown prisoner, to an underwater prison, where dangerous mutants roam, now only reminiscent of the past human life. You will have to show all your ingenuity to get out of the underwater camera and not become the food of a huge ugly monster. Find out about what happened in the underwater complex and who the main character really is. Whether you can get out of an underwater grave or not depends only on you, no one will come to the rescue.

Honestly, when I saw the title of this video, my initial thought was that of a prisoner making an actual escape through the deep waters while evading various creatures that lurks there. Apparently, that's not what this game is going for, and instead, just gave the player a pat on the back for making it past the exit door.
As for the rest of the game, I fully agree about its mediocrity. It would've been interesting indeed had the creatures been more aggressive. Add to that, if your character's going to be picking up notes here & there, might as well have some document pages strewn about, to impart lore as to why there are all these creatures roaming around in the first place. Rather than just conveniently having them there, because you need something to run away from.

I HATE when they give flashlights a battery meter. No flashlight in real life runs out of power in 5 minutes.

Most of the flashlights I've seen are the shake/crank type anyways.
@@spicybeantofu Which would make for a great game mechanic if you had to recharge the torch every few minutes and it made a loud noise that could alert the bad guys to your location. Gives you some caution as to whether or not it's worth charging and if you could find your way without it.
The only time I liked the mechanic of batteries for flashlights was in Infra. And while it had some scary in the dark parts it wasn't a horror game.
It's even funnier when you consider that flashlight would have lasted forever if he hadn't picked it up.
Batteries! Noooooooooooooo. The only question remaining is how much of a battery man can you become?

Based on the title and the description, I was hoping for a game taking place, well... underwater (like "Siren - Rex Maria" that you played last week). A better title would be " Super generic cheap horror game" in this case.

Yes, that window view is the only indication it's underwater(false advertising).
Bruh, it is not as if I had high hopes for this game, but the moment you turned the corner and Unity-Asset "Big Chungus Demon" was just standing there, double cheeked-up on a Thursday afternoon, wondering what he should make for dinner that evening, I immediately knew the rest of the game was gonna be an amateur affair. Unfortunately my suspicions were proven correct.
I applaud you for having such a charitable view on a lot of these types of games. I think even calling this one "mediocre" is being a bit generous.

This went down hill for me the moment you were told you couldn't get squeezed... it's my main reason for playing horror games. RE Village just wouldn't have been the same game without the prospect of being squeezed by Lady Dimetrescu 🤣. Also the lack of water in a game underwater?... Is there an actual point at all I wonder 🤔 and not even the prospect of being a 10 battery man in a game with batteries; the negatives just keep stacking up for this one lol. @@robertrobinson8700 I imagine how hard you're squeezed differentiates a "good" squeeze from a "bad" squeeze. One's head popping off when squeezed, for instance, is an example of a bad squeeze. *LOL* I'd guess you'd prefer a firm snuggle to a full-on S-Q-U-E-E-Z-E from Lady Dimetrescu--kinkiness aside. 😅

We went on the Steam page and checked reviews and yours is the first one on there, and he was a little mad you gave it a positive review, lol. Still though, it's nice to see how different people take the same experience differently. Also, I would love to see you two colab or something someday, heh... Seemed like more of a demo than a full game, wasn't much for the story or gameplay. The monsters aren't really threats, the underwater theme is not that relevant to the monsters/plot/gameplay, and my least favorite thing--unnecessary battery meter. Overall, it's lacking in polish and ideas making it quite the generic horror game. With all the cliché's I expected there to be sewer level or something lol. Not exactly a terrible indie horror game, but I'd give this one a pass.
I watched this video after ...let's say lightning a grass scented candle. And his reaction to the running animation made me laugh so hard

Yeah the battery thing is super annoying especially when they go out so quickly and that’s pretty much all you’re thinking about accomplishing is making sure you have them for the light. Not fun.

Unreal makes it so easy to make nice looking games. The down side of that the ratio of dross we have to wade through because of that to find a gem is only going to rise. First World problems, right?
I hate it when games don't let you do things like jump or crouch , especially with no explanation or without a good explanation for it. And they usually have no explanation at all for the protag being unable to jump or swim , ect.
The flickering light from the torch batteries running out scared me more than the monsters but that's probably just Phasmo ptsd

(He was giving out notes to the survivors, but I don't think he is the one who wrote the notes).
I think the game lacks personality. The devs have thrown a bunch of tropes together, and while those could've worked in theory, they didn't here. I think adding game story elements would've helped a great deal.

I liked the sound and design of the toilet monster! But yeah, other than that this game needed more TLC before release

The worst and most annoying things is watching on my IPad and having the video play in the smaller window so I can read some comments then accidentally bumping a new video on he side and it starts playing.
It's bad enough being a prisoner in a horror game it usually doesn't end well, but underwater to, eeh😬
Fuck that running thing with the gloves is my favorite. It strikes fear into the heart.
You needed to pick up the glowstick in the room with the crazy guy and you can see the numbers you press on all the keypads :)

should have A LOT more story.
This game could have been much more than it was. It had some good ideas, but it never really took them anywhere. And the planning and execution of the monsters was rather sloppy. Longer corridors that the larger monster could enter along with some connected turns to lose them around could have really ramped up the tension. The one that only moved while you looked away could have benefitted from some animation and being a bit more obvious in moving. And the presumably male one just plain needed better animation. Fixing all that and running with the idea of it being underwater could have made it feel reminiscent of Bioshock.
Sneaking in a file or chisel in a loaf of bread won't help in this prison.
This was hard to watch. There was a humming noise near the red lights that was extremely painful. I almost turned it off within the first minute or two. Not the best, not the worst. Forgetful at best.
Goofy animations is the relax moment in the horror games. hahaha

I think that anyone who puts in a flashlight "battery" meter should have one put up where the sun don't shine.
They are not even EVER realistic. What battery dies after 3 minutes? Just turn off the torch and resign to death at his point LOL

I kinda liked this but I feel the underwater aspect was severely underused.
I'd like to know what the character did after going through that last door. He escaped, but it seems he's still stuck underwater (unless I missed some explanation in there.)
I checked this game out after watching this, and you can actually crank the gamma and brightness on your graphics card up so you don't have to use the flashlight....
It had a cool premise and just disappointed so much .. Devs re do this !! Make it scary .. give it more story !! Please !!

i despise video game flashlights. they either use batteries that die absurdly fast or arent bright enough to make a lick a difference... or both. Like, let me see the game so I can enjoy it. Walking dead saints and sinners, the flashlight is meh but u can just shake it to charge it and dont have to meticulously hunt batteries to be able to feckin see. I have never seen or played a horror game that was better or scarier because of a dying/weak flashlight mechanic. Just more annoying.
